*Yawning sound...
"Damn... Had a weird dream that Nuggets became a female." While Jay said so, Nuggets pecked his hand and started flapping her wings frantically showing that she is angry at Jay.
"Oh. It was not a dream then." He then stood up and looked outside the window.
"S***! It's nighttime already? How long did I sleep?"
Then a lot of notifications appeared out of nowhere. Jay then decided to look at it. What was weird was all the notifications were the same.
[Hellson wants to talk with you. Accept? Yes/No]
"Who the hell is Hellson?" Jay then remembered the recent update of the Fate System where a 'Converse with Hellson' function was added.
Jay was full of questions what this function does so he just said 'Yes' to the request.
He then heard a very familiar voice...
"You finally accepted. Sheesh! Did you know how many times I had to call you? I also have to support other players you know..."
When Jay heard it he was shocked and immediately said "You!!! Don't think that I will be stuck in this game forever! I will leave once I destroy this world! You got that you piece of s***?!"
Jay then started trash talking 'Hellson'
Hellson then replied "Watch your mouth young man! I thought you already learned how to behave properly when we spoke the last time... Why are you even picking a fight with me... sheesh..." He then sighed as he continued.
"But anyways, I do not have time in correcting you this time. Listen close to what I am about to say since this will be the last time I can talk to you."
Jay then listened as he was curious on the crap this guy will give him.
"The dark forces have already breached our walls. I am afraid I will die with the rest of the 'Divines' after this. So I am afraid that I would not be able to resurrect you anymore if you die. And if you really want to get out of this 'game?' then good luck to you."
[Conversation Ended.]
[Converse with Hellson function is now removed from the system]
"Well... that was weird. Based on what he said he must be one of the Divines or one of their soldiers. Oh boy... getting out of the game will be tricky."
Jay thought as such since in Dungeons and Towers of Fate, when players reached the very top, in other words, reach the Level 500 mark, a lot of things are added to the game, including Divines.
Divines was the term used for NPCs, monsters, or anything else in the game that had transcended.
Anything that is transcended means that they have surpassed the max level of 543, and receives a lot of benefits, including having a major leap in ranking. For example, a Lord monster can become a Legendary monster if it transcends and becomes a Divine.
The downside of Divines was that they have to reset back to level 1 and have to build their way back up. But due to the massive benefits, it would only take a few years before they reach Level 543 again. As for what happens for Level 543 Divines, even Jay does not know since he never reached up to that point. Jay did not even transcend in his 10 years in playing the game before.
"Dammit! It looks like I have to spend a few years in this game then. If that's the case, I will surpass the limits of a Level 543 Divine. I just hope I can leave the game after that..."
Jay then decided to go back to sleep.

In an unknown place in Dungeons and Towers of Fate...
Piles of corpses from unknown humanoid races are scattered everywhere within a walled city which is now a pile of rubble due to a legion of demons and monsters.
"Hahahah!!! Come out you pieces of trash!" A gigantic black dragon with 7 heads shouted as it continued wrecking everything in its patch.
"Foul creature!"
[Hellson used Legendary Spell: Dimension Break]
If Jay was here, he will be uttered speechless if he saw Hellson's current state right now.
Despite having none of his limbs left, he continues to cast spells while fending of a legion of demons and monsters.
After persisting for some time, one of the demons got bored of watching Hellson so it went to him and cleaved Hellson's heart out using its claws.
Just before Hellson was to breath his last, he tried to utter a few words...
"Jay... you are our only hope... Please..."
He then tried to cast one more spell.
The demon who cleaved his heart off then backed away since it thought that Hellson was going to self destruct. But after a few seconds, nothing happened and Hellson's body vanished.
Then an angelic figure descended and shouted furiously..."Hellson! NOOOOO!!! WRETCHED BEAST! You will pay for that!"
The demon then shouted back at the angel "HAHAHAHA!!! You and your useless gods' time is up! It is now our time to rule over the Fatelord's Plane! HAHAHAH!!!"

Meanwhile, back at Drunken Rooster Inn, while a terrible storm that is going to sweep through the entire world of Dungeons and Towers of Fate that will change every player and NPCs lives, Jay was enjoying his sleep while having a dream on how he first got involved in Dungeons and Towers of Fate.
???: "Jay! Bro! Look at this virtual game I bought. The company who made it brags that it allows a 96% sync rate when playing! Awesome!"
Jay: "Dungeons and Towers of Fate... Huh... It might be good in quality, but is it fun though?"
