While everyone had their own thoughts about the matter at hand, Hedge, the eyeball, suddenly spoke.
"Look, I know your kind hates monsters like me, but… can't we just make some kind of pact? Maybe something like a 'master and servant' contract that the so called beast tamers used?"
No one really knows what is supposed to be happening right now. So Jay spoke up.
"Master and servant contract? So you want to be a tamed beast. Why?" Jay was a bit surprised with what Hedge said since the 'master and servant' contract is a forgotten technique in this current age. However, due to Jay's 10 years' worth of experience in the game, even though he forgot some of the minor stuff, he still knew how this contract works and how to do it.
Hedge then panicked when he saw everyone was silent, so he spoke up and said "I spent more than 10,000 years alone in this tower! I was so lonely…" Hedge started crying then continued…
"But, after a very long wait, monsters suddenly appeared out of nowhere and entered my home! They took everything I have! My gold, my treasure, everything! They even took a s*** anywhere they want! How outrageous! Then you people appeared, suddenly killing these filth one by one. At first, I thought that if I give you guys my wealth that would be enough to repay you. "
Hedge stopped crying and finished his words. "But even if I give you people my wealth, I will still be lonely in the end. Again. So please take me with you. I do not want to be lonely again. And if you people cannot trust me, go ahead and perform a master and servant contract with me. Please, I beg of you…"
After hearing the flying eyeball's words, while everyone was in a state of shock, Jay spoke up.
"I am not sure how if that is possible unless you transform into something more normal looking. Other people besides us might attack you on sight if they see you. If you can transform into something else then all of us are willing to let you follow us in our journey."
Hedge suddenly stopped begging and suddenly transformed into a small kid. But for some reason, he looked like a cute girl. Short, brown hair, etc. She was also wearing the normal clothes that NPCs wore. The only thing that is weird with Hedge's transformation was that he, or rather, she has tiny wings on her back and a pair of tiny black spikes growing out of her head.
The girls in the group, Abyssal Angel, Annie, Abbie, and Roselia was so enticed by this transformation of Hedge. She was just so cute that they wanted to hug her.
Seeing the expectant and weird looks on the girls, Jay signaled them to stop whatever they are thinking right now. He then approached Hedge and said…
"Alright. Now, before we proceed with the contract, do you want to have another name that we will use when you are in that form?"
Hedge replied in a cute childish voice, "Umm… I suppose I can be called Heda if I am currently in this form."
After that, Jay drew three circles around Heda. In each circle, Jay drew a figure of a man, a dog, and something that looks like a ghost using his dagger. He then connected the circles by drawing a line that passed each of the circles.
Before proceeding any further, he asked Heda to kneel down in front of him.
"Alright, preparations are complete. By the way, the rest of you should also try to remember what I am doing just in case something like this happens again in the future if I am not around."
Jay told everyone before he began gathering magicka in his hands and slowly infusing it on the circles he drew. Suddenly, Heda's body glowed with a bluish light together with the circles.
"Heda, will you swear your allegiance to me, Jay, to be your master until the time of my death? Will you obey my commands? If you do, then I promise to also help you in time of your need."
Heda said 'yes' and after that, the master and servant contract was completed.
"Alright then. But before we head out, I need to ask you a question." Jay said as he approached and kneeled in front of Heda.
"Are you really fine with leaving your home? Won't it get destroyed if you leave since you are bound to this place?"
Heda then suddenly had a shocked look on her face and said while scratching her head.
"Oh yeah… I forgot about that. Everyone should hurry and leave before the tower collapses… Hehehe…"
The tower suddenly started shaking and was about to collapse. So Jay, Nuggets, and the rest did not waste any time and quickly left the tower.

Outside Hedge's tower, which is now a pile of rubble…
"My home! Umm… about this…" Heda started panicking as she saw her tower in shambles.
Everyone was trying to catch their breath since they had to run down 8 flights of stairs just to escape the collapsing tower. Jay then spoke up after he recovered from that.
"Heda, about your stuff… I suppose it's impossible to get it now right?" Jay said as he sighed.
But Heda answered him with something he did not expect.
"Don't worry master! I always keep my stuff on a storage ring. Here." Heda then puked out a golden ring.
"Well, that is a bit unsightly due to your current form… You should just wear it on your finger." Jay said since he did not know what else to say now.
After everyone was done catching their breath, Jay spoke up again.
"Well, I suppose we cannot really do anything else within Murkwood at the moment. So for those who needs to prepare their stuff or do something at the town, do it now. After all that, we will start our journey towards the capital city of Wildergreene, Greengarden."
Everyone got excited when they heard that they were finally going to a city since they have spent almost a month just farming and grinding near Murkwood. Jay decided to let them rest for a day before they will go on with their journey.
