Chenglie wondered who might have scared her this much and looked back to see Fei Lian there.
It's just that tiger god she likes... So why is she this scared of him now?
Chenglei wrinkled his brows looking at Fei Lian who was as surprised as Chenglie to see her act this way towards him.
Fei Lian just came here to see if Old Rong was here and to help her if need arises. Although he didn't expect her to run to him giggling and waving her arms like she used to do when she was little, he didn't expect that panic stricken expression like he is the god of death who had come to take her life either.
What is going on?
"Bai Li! Let's leave... They'll be wondering where the Empress is! ", she turned and left showing her back to everyone making everyone perplexed. Chenglie felt sad that she is willing to leave without even waving him goodbye.
Fei Lian sighed and nodded at Bai Li and snapped his fingers and the next moment, Xing was in the Grand Palace floating in the clouds. That Palace that seemed to have been carved out of marble with great details, didn't please Xing and she rolled her eyes.
" Fei Lian...! ", she screamed," Let me go back!", she was furious as she stomped out of the gates of the exquisite dwelling place of the God of Wind and stepped on the stairs made of clouds to get out.
And...
She fell down as there was nothing beneath her feet... She forgot clouds cannot hold her... Again!
F*ck!
She cussed and folded her arms in her chest, pouting as she fell down, not even trying to balance herself in the wind. Her hair started to loosen and flew by the draft of the wind like golden ribbons and her bloodstained robes were bellowing in the wind. She was gracefully falling down like a petal of cherry blossom except that she was falling to her death, at a high speed and a little more distance, she'd be shattered to pieces if she does not try to get her balance in that endless wilderness below. But she wasn't that worried since she could break her fall.
Just before there was just twenty meters to her fall,as she prepared for a landing, Fei Lian appeared in his tiger form below her and carried her back to the sky.
"Even if you get down here, would you be able to find your way back?"
His mocking tone, even though was the truth made Xing more furious.
I get lost often! So what?
"Let me go!", she pulled the hair in his neck hurting him. The nerves on him to abduct me!
"Aww! It hurts, little one!", Fei Lian was angered.
"Let me go.. Let me go... Let me go...",she kept on shouting in his ears and he really could not help but get irritated.

"You are not cute anymore!", he clicked his tongue, "You used to nag me to take you on these rides before", he took a sharp turn above the tallest peak on the western mountain and Xing held on to his neck instinctively,
"I'm not a child anymore!", she whined. Xing could not deny, watching the sunset from above the mountains is really a beautiful scenery and she stopped protesting as her mood got a little better. Fei Lian is right. Back when she was little whenever someone mocked her for not knowing who her father was or whenever her mother punished her, she'd run to him and demand a ride and he'd comply everytime. It is just that he'd talk less in the past. Now he talks a lot.... Really a lot!
Why is he doing this for me? I really don't understand!
"It feels like yesterday when I held you naked in my arms! You were really cute too. Who knew you'd grow up to be a brat?", he mumbled and Xing got furious and hit him hard in his head gritting her teeth and he almost dropped her and Xing held on to him tighter.

He always did certain things for her when she needed it and then he hides bigger secrets behind that stone face of his and what is the point then? What is with this attitude of his? Either he likes me or he don't. What's with this hot and cold attitude?
"Eat", he passed some sweets she really is fond of. Xing wanted to eat it and don't want to eat it at the same time.
I'm angry at him! I don't trust him!
Xing repeated that in her head for ten times and she turned her head to the side, "I'm not hungry", she declared with certainty.
I refuse to succumb to temptations!
But alas! Her stomach wasn't that certain and it grumbled loudly betraying her. If only her stomach was not a part of her, she'd have dug holes in it.
But Xing still persisted and she could feel something in her sleeves that smelled good. Her hunger had elated her sense of smell that detects food and as she expected, there were two meat buns in that sleeve.
Chenglei must have placed it while they were... !, she cleared her throat.
Xing was elated that how considerate he is and wondered how he got these buns in the middle of nowhere. He is amazing!
She pointed her nose up sitting cross-legged in front of the Great General of the Heavens, in his Palace and started eating those buns happily.
Fei Lian could not help but smile looking at this puny mortal, showing off her man in front of him. He is really amazed by that mortal too. He wouldn't have allowed him to be with her if he wasn't at least this good. She deserves him!
Xing felt something hard when she bit into the last bun and there it was... An exquisite gold ring with a beautiful plum blossom carved on a pink Jade fixed on the top.

Xing who forgot that moments ago she was sacred Fei Lian would tattle on her, wore the ring on her finger and it fit her perfectly and nothing could hold her back from grinning as she appreciated the beauty of that ring. Chenglie knows even the size of my finger perfectly!
