The elders who witnessed this were flabbergasted and didn't know how to console the patriarch. De Song was frightened because he felt that he is going to be blamed for this and might as well end up losing his life.

The academy does it's best to protect all its students, so if they were to know that a plan to kill one if it's student is going on, they would not hesitate to show their strength regardless of what background it is, also if they were to know that De Song has disguised as a teacher into the academy will cause a major problem because the academy doesn't allow any clan elders to be part of their teaching department, this will result in banning any De clans disciple from attending the academy in the future.

The second layer of the Ghostfort is where usually cultivators who are in the Emperor Realm or above enter, so one can know what cultivation level of monsters or demons is there.
The third, fourth and fifth layer will require a cultivator with Tyrant, Sovereign & Extinction realm respectively to enter.
