Yu Yi was shocked! She did not expect his swift move and made her forced back on the wall while her neck was grabbed by Li Fu Jin's hands.
With a tight grip on her neck, she clearly saw his ferocious scarlet eyes looking straight at her that made her body tremble in fear.
"Where's Xiao Xi Ran" he coldly asked while looking at Yu Yi intensely.
However, Yu Yi cannot speak because of his relentless grip on her neck, she can only looked at him with terror while watching his murderous gaze.
Watching her face turning pale, Li Fu Jin releases her and fall on her feet with continues coughing for being almost out of breath.
He turns around and walk towards the balcony, but he heard her voice again that made him paused his steps.
With a trembling voice Yu Yi asked. "Why are you looking for my brother?"
There were no intentions to look back, but Li Fu Jin remember that Xiao family has deep connection with his father.
Although he doesn't know the understanding between the Xiao family and his father, Li Fu Jin assume that their cooperation is greater than with the Mo family.
He is not worried about the troubles, but if someone found out that he entered a woman's room, it might give him a headache, or worst he might end up being Yu Yi's fiancee and abandoned Yu Yan.
Therefore, He turns his head to warn her not to let anyone know that his appearance.
Nevertheless, Li Fu Jin's eyes abruptly fell on Yu Yi's necklace with a circled jade pendant like yin and yang, but it was replaced with a red phoenix and a black dragon.
Looking at it made Li Fu Jin froze on the same spot where he was standing and for the first time, there was a flash of surprise on his eyes.
He took one step forward, but he paused when Yu Yi moved backwards as a sign of her fear, therefore, Li Fu Jin did not try to approach her again.
"That pendant..." Li Fu Jin's voice is slightly trembling when he speaks.
When Yu Yi heard his question, she subconsciously held the necklace's pendant while she tries to calm her nervous heart while she asked. "Who are you?"
Unfortunately, Li Fu Jin did not speak, he looked at Yu Yi's face after she hides the pendant on her palm.
Staring at her beautiful face, there's a sudden flash on Li Fu Jin's eyes but Yu Yi has no ideas if what it means.
They look at each other while on the same spot until Li Fu Jin finally asked with a unexpected deep calm voice. "Where did you get that necklace?"
Uncertainty surfaces on Yu Yi's eyes, her heart is pumping fast, she doesn't want to answer his questions. "I don't think we've met before, do you know me?"
Li Fu Jin did not answer, he just stared at Yu Yi, but his expressionless face finally shows a complicated look while his eyes shows a message that he wanted to say something.
When he is about to open his mouth, there was a knock on the door and a voice suddenly spoke outside. "Yi, are you there?"
After those words, Yu Yi turned her head to the door that promptly opened and Yu Rin entered and turned surprised to see her sitting on the floor.
Yu Rin rapidly approached Yu Yi while he holds her shoulders, his eyes scan her to check if she's hurt, he worriedly asked. "Are you ok?"
However, Yu Yi did not answer, instead, she hurriedly looked back at the door in the balcony where Li Fu Jin was standing, but he is already gone.
Watching Yu Yi in daze, Yu Rin turned his head to look at the direction of her eyes, he raised brows after seeing that there is no one around.
He looks back at Yu Yi with curiosity. "Did something happened?"
Yu Yi lowered her head, she is still holding the pendant analyzing Li Fu Jin's reactions, until she fell in deep thoughts.
She keeps on thinking who Li Fu Jin was and why does it seem he knows about the necklace.
After a moment, Yu Yi finally speaks with a soft voice. "There was someone here... He seems to know... the pendant..."
