Finishing his makeup and hair styling, Jun out from his chair to choose his outfit. Since the concept should focus as a single man, he chose white shirt with dark brown sweater and grey pants. It would complement the earthy color furniture as well as emphasizing autumn. It was famous in Korea that single man would feel more lonely and sadder in autumn. He was hoping to convey the image of single man who looked contempt within his own house, where he could stay comfortable and happy regardless of the season's change.
Once he changed into the outfit, he noticed from the window that there was a lake behind the house. Deciding to look around for a while, Jun stepped down the small staircase and started to move his body towards the lake when his movement was suddenly interrupted by a peculiar view. The bushes in the nearby forest seemed to move every now and then. And between the bushes, he could see someone was running. 'Weird, who will exercise in the middle of autumn. I thought here is in the middle of nowhere.' Wanting to ignore but feeling curious, he took one more step closer to get a closer look when suddenly a small body hit his chest and two small shaky hands grabbed his shirt. "Help me!"
Analyzing the situation quickly, Jun quickly took out his outer coat and dropped it over the girl body since the girl did not stop shaking. The girl's face was full of sweat with half of her long hair stuck into her face like wet seaweed. Jun took out his handkerchief and slowly helping the girl to wipe her sweat and tidied her hair when he suddenly realized it was Song Ji An.
"Monkey?" Ji An was still shaking and did not recognize Jun in front of her. She kept grabbing Jun's shirt and her body was still shaking so hard. Her eyes darted left and right, checking her surrounding and made sure both of henchmen did not manage to follow her. Jun's question did not seem to penetrate Ji An state of mind and he repeated his question again this time, with additional shaking of her small body.
"Monkey? What's wrong?" Hearing familiar voice seemed to bring Ji An alertness down a level and she started to think clearly and breath normally. She looked into her hands which still clutching someone's shirt and slowly averted her gaze up towards her savior. Little that she knew, her savior once again was Jun. She quickly let go of her hand and stood up, trying to dismiss her terror just now with a stupid smile. She did not want to drag Jun into this, not when she did not even sure on what was actually happening just now.
"I am okay. I am good." Rather than replying Jun, it was more like word of reassurance she said to herself. She needed it more than anything now, that's everything gonna be alright.
"How can you say that you are okay? You are shaking like leaves just now." Jun ignored her answer and demanded the truth. He couldn't believe she was okay. She didn't even look in the mirror but Jun who witnessed her terrified and pale face and held her trembling body, couldn't easily be deceived. Realized that she should come up with plausible explanation, Ji An racked her brain.
"It's nothing, really. I spent time wandering around the area and inside the forest since I had one hour while waiting for you. But I think I was lost inside and then I accidentally disturbed something."
"Something? What are you talking about? Is this even human language?"
"It's an animal!!!!!!" Ji An felt this was the most plausible explanation she could come up at the moment. Although it sounded damn stupid, but he should be able to accept it for now.
One second, two second passed without any sound when suddenly, "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…. Do you mean you had animal chasing you and you ran out of terror? How dumb can you be?" When Jun burst out laughing, Ji An knew she was safe and Jun would not probe further. She purposely let the conversation flow.
"Can't I? You try it yourself and I will see if you can still so arrogant. Maybe I will be the one comforting you when you are shaking." Totally bluffed her way out from the tricky situation, Ji An had a sigh of relief that becoming a reporter made her ability to lie increase by tenfold. She didn't think she was a good liar but looking at Jun's current reaction means her lie shouldn't be too bad. It was passable.
Ignoring Jun and afraid she might meet both henchmen again, she walked straight towards the house. Away from the threat that was haunting her just now. 'Lucky they never see my face. Fiuh' Hoping everything would get better today, she opened the back door and re-entered her dreamy home once again.
Since Ji An managed to break through from the forest and slammed against Jun, both henchmen covered themselves behind the shadow and little known to her, both men didn't even retreat and watched silently the whole scene unfolded in front of them. Once they made sure both Ji An and Jun left the scene and went back inside the house, both men went back towards their original site and the bigger out of the two of them took out his phone and made a call.
"Boss. We didn't get her. However she seemed to run away towards the small house and met Lee Jun, the actor. Two of them seemed to know each other."
"Investigate her." With that one sentence, the line was cut off from the other side.
