"Nuna, I have found out the girl for you. She is Lee Jun's new manager." Jisu reported quickly her finding. It was not difficult to get this information. After all, Jun was famous to be an independent actor and the appearance of a manager, especially from the opposite gender spread fast among the industry.
'Manager? Isn't he always independent and manage everything himself?' Anna thought to herself. It didn't look simple at all, there must be something. She needed to investigate further. Pushing that to the back of her mind, there was more important matter to handle.
"Then, have you found out about his schedule?"
Jisu nodded his head and continued,"Yes, I have asked around. He was offered a main lead role for Producer Kim new drama. However, there is no response from him yet."
"How about the female lead?"
"No news, as of now. This drama was not heavily publicized yet. Not a lot of people know about it and only those contacted personally by the producer would know. The investor was new to entertainment industry but they did request Jun to be the main lead, don't know the reason behind it."
Anna tapped her perfectly gel-manicured fingernails, deep in thought. If only she could snatch the opportunity to be the main female lead. She knew that Producer Kim did not send any script to her yet. And nothing was certain or decided at this moment. If she just waited without doing anything, it was highly possible the role would be snatched away from her. This was her chance to get back together with Jun. However on the other side, Jun might reject the role. Frustrated, Anna nervously walked back and forth around her room.
If it was Kim Anna from a few years back, she would sit back and do nothing. The current Kim Anna was different. She wouldn't be the current Queen Kim Anna if she let herself waiting for opportunity. Opportunity doesn't knock, it presents itself when you beat down the door.
Decided to pull some strings, Anna picked up her phone, searching for a certain contact person.
"Hello, Boss." Anna would never ask her entertainment agency boss, if she was not desperate enough. And sending Jisu over to make a deal was absurd. It was her personal request and greed. She shouldn't give Jisu more trouble, although she had every right to.
"Hello, my pretty Anna. What's up? How's everything?" Kim Anna was his cash cow. With her popularity soared, his company had so much profit. He was currently sorting out million dollar endorsement for her and chose the most profitable.
"I would like to take role under Producer Kim's new drama."
"Oh, I heard about it. There's a lot of hush hush now. Nothing has been decided for that. Isn't that risky?"
"No, I only want that drama. Either that or I am not taking any."
"Okay. I will try to arrange." Her boss understood. He should arrange this drama for her, after all the profit he gained so far was coming from her. And he did hear rumor that the drama also approaching Lee Jun as male lead. When both of them inside one screen, there would be no loss for him. It was either profitable or very profitable.
Anna ended her phone call with a smile. One down, now she needed to make sure Jun would take the offer.
As a token of appreciation for the greatest meal of his life, Jun let Ji An rest on the sofa and went to the sink to wash the dishes. Ji An lay down on the long couch with with a squarish pillow on her back and she started to scroll through her tablet when she suddenly remembered the need to update Jun.
"Hey, I forgot to tell you during dinner. There is an offer from Producer Kim for drama production. He has attached the script with the email. Do you want to read it?"
"Have you read the script?"
"Should I? Is that allowed?" Ji An shot a confused look towards Jun. But since Jun was washing dishes , she could only stare at his broad shoulder. With every moves, his muscle moved against his sweater and gave Ji An unblocked view of his perfection.
"Do you actually know what is a manager role?" Jun finished washing all the dishes, dried his hands and went to his living room, seated beside Ji An.
"Isn't that obvious? Just follow you wherever you go. Be your assistant." It was not surprising to hear this from Ji An, since she did not care about entertainment industry, nor its actor and actresses. And it was also true that she somehow looked down into this profession as someone who was just selling their beauty.
Her ignorance darkened Jun's expression and dampened his earlier mood. He did not even bother to explain and asked Ji An to leave.
"You can go now. And, you don't need to come tomorrow." Jun was pissed off.
"EHH?!! Whyyyy?? I should come tomorrow. You have fans signing event. With your popularity, you at least need a helping hand." Ji An immediately went into panic. Tomorrow was supposed to be her D-day to stalk Congressman Park. She should find some reason to at least come in and out penthouse area.
"No need. I don't need assistant. I need a manager. Find out yourself before you appear in front of me, you ignorant woman. Now, leave." The room temperature could be felt dropping a few degree. It was as if a cold of ice water poured over her body and made Ji An shuddered. Jun never used this tone with her. At most, he was bullying her. But how she could understand, if he did not even bother to explain. Was it really difficult to give some explanation?

"Stupid Jun! I am ignorant but you can at least explain. Why do you throw tantrum at me? Why don't you ever try to explain? And how do you expect people to understand you without even one proper explanation? Do you think I can read your mind?" Ji An grabbed her bag and stomped angrily out from Jun's penthouse. Leaving him standing there, along in the living room, stupefied.
Before he even voiced out word of sorry, he heard the door slammed behind. It seemed he made another mistake after all.
