Inside a cafe, two women are sitting at a small round table with teacups in front of them. One of them is tall and slender while the other is slightly shorter.
"Murong Ning, what you said over the phone, is it true?"
"Yes, Su Lian has returned. She probably had some plastic surgery done because she looks a lot more beautiful than before."
Su Mo Chou's face darkens.
"Are you sure you saw her?"
Murong Ning nods her head.
"She was with a child. I'm not sure if it is her own. He was wearing sunglasses and it covered most of his face."
Su Mo Chou stared into her cup with her face twisting in anger.
'Why did she return suddenly?'
She will ruin all of her and her mother's plans.
Even though their father was indifferent towards family, he valued a person's worth. Anything that could make him money would be cherished by him. Not only was Su Lian his legitimate daughter, she was also very smart. She skipped several grades and won numerous awards while in school. She was beautiful too so he could marry her off to an influential man to make business connections. He never showed affection towards any of his children, but he did invest some time and money in Su Lian's education by sending her to private schools. This was proof enough that he valued her.

'Su Lian if you did return, you better stay in your place and not appear before our father or I will make your life miserable.'

Su Lian's taxi is parked in front of a University.
She had asked the driver to wait and it's been over five minutes now. The man was growing impatient.
"Lady come down so I can go pick up other people."
"I promise I'll pay you enough."
Su Lian reached into her purse and pulled out a wad of cash and handed it to the taxi driver who began grinning from ear to ear.
"It's fine, it's fine. I can wait."
He hastily stuffed the money inside his safe as if afraid that she would change her mind.
Su Lian concentrated her gaze onto the school entrance. She seems very nervous and tense.
After a long while, a handsome young man comes out of the school. He appears to be about nineteen and looks very tall for his age. His eyes are the same beautiful green color as Su Lian's. Although he has handsome features, his face looks pale and indifferent.
There are some women admiring him but none of them dare to approach him. They keep a fair distance while throwing him flirtatious looks which he completely ignores.
When Su Lian's eyes land on him, her body trembles. After taking a while to calm herself down, she opens the door and steps out of the taxi, taking small strides towards him.
His back is turned towards her and when she is about a meter away from him, she stops and stares at him for a long time.
