Deacon, Tally, and Jeb were teleported to Maxton's manor along with Mayuri, Queen Vivian, and her two children.

"Jeb, you'll stay here and protect them, me and Tally will take care of the rest" Deacon said as he was about to split off.

"Wait," Jeb said as he handed Deacon a slip of paper. It was a map of the Manor with the locations of the guards and Maxton.

"Young Miss sure doesn't leave anything out," Tally said as Deacon nodded

"Wonder where she gets her information from" He said, "Let's go" Deacon said to Tally. He reached for belt took out a black glass ball

One Month Ago,

Young Miss, what is this?" Jeb holds out a white glass ball.

"An experiment."

"An experiment?" Tally asked

"I call them spell beads, breaking them will release mana of that element for any middle or low tier spell" Glass said 'In other words it can allow a person to use a spell not in their element"

"How does it work?" Deacon said curiously

"Easy, say the spell in your head or aloud as you break the bead." She looked at Jeb "Jeb the one you hold has light element, use fly"

Jeb nodded and said "Fly" aloud as he crushed the bead. The next moment his was flying,

"Me too," Tally said as he repeated what Jeb did and they both started flying.

"The beads are still in the development stage, for now only low-tier spells are completely safe. I don't recommend using middle-tier spell unless necessary."

"Why, are you giving them to us?" He asked

"For you to get used to using them" She handed him a belt with five small pockets "You find situations in which you'll need them" Deacon grabbed the belt "Each pocket holds ten beads of its corresponding element."

Present

"You really think of everything, Glass" Deacon said "I suppose I should start calling her young miss now" he crushed the bead, Shadow step. Deacon and Tally sunk down into the shadows, leaving Queen Vivian dumbfounded at what just happened, she believed the two of them were dark element users.

Deacon and Tally quickly dispatched the guards thanks to the map that was given to them. It was completely accurate, but it didn't surprise the duo who had become used to it. Glass predictions were always accurate to the point it was scary. Now it was Barron Maxton turn, they didn't know why Glass wanted him dead, but were still willing to do it. They had reached the Maxton's study; Glass notes tell him how to open the secret door in the study.

"Got it" Tally pulled a lever that looked like a wall lamp. Deacon stated to have a bad feeling, why would a noble need a secret dungeon in his study. They walked down they secret steps to the lower depths soon enough even Tally started to have a bad feeling.

The smell of blood soon became apparent the hairs on the back of their necks stood up as they saw corpses everywhere and people who looked like corpses chained on the side of the walls. Bloodied bodys in cages moaning in pain, there were even children here. Deacon horrified then remembers another conversation he had with Glass

"Do you know, why nobles tend to be the worse type of people" She asked.

"No" Deacon responded.

"Power. People drunk on power lose some rationally forgetting that the person next to them sheds the same red blood they do." Deacon nodded "Those type of people tend to treat others like dogs, they can abuse, control and destroy. Deacon you think you have seen the worst of nobles, but you haven't, you haven't even begone to see the monstrous things they can do. Especially, those drunk on power."

Deacon thought to himself "Is this even human anymore"
