The Palace Official Chief's building was close to the main gate, which was one of the four gates that connect the inner palace to the outside. Each handrail was carved, and lifelike dragons entwined around each of the red pillars.
Yen found herself in a room with about over ten maidservants gathered inside. Their expressions ranged from uneasiness and anticipation to excitement.
