"Look at the children! They really look good with each other." Father Xue pointed merrily at the couple in the gazebo.
The parents have been chatting for a while. They were at the veranda while the two betrothed were left alone in the gazebo not far from them, to get to know each other.
The Shi Family arrived around six in evening at the Xue Family's abode. It was just a small gathering of two families.
At the gazebo, there was mostly silence. The fine young gentleman was tall, strong and had a smiling face, although upon close inspection, his smile was of the taunting sort. At first glance, Xue Jinxu could feel that nothing good would come out of this man.
"My fiancé is definitely beautiful." He started the conversation with her, still wearing the taunting smile.
Xue Jinxu was trying to ignore him.
"How's business so far? Have you enjoyed my gift?" He said, not looking at her. He was elated, however Xue Jinxu could not understand his statement.
"What gift? I haven't received anything from you." She tried to recall everything that she had received and by far nothing was from a Shi.
They were seated in a dining table, across each other. He inched forward. "Do I finally capture your attention?" He stared at her and with a half-grin he said each word quite slowly for emphasis. "MT. Dragon. Heart." The man grinned fully, revealing his full set of white teeth.
Xue Jinxu understood now. She stood up abruptly and pointed at him. "You.. You're behind the MT Dragon Heart incident?"
"Sweetheart, calm down. The elders are watching." He was laughing under his breath. He was enjoying this whole show.
She seated herself again, but gritted her teeth. "Then Guangxi.. His kidnapping.." She trailed off. Her eyes were wavering.
The man, Shi Fan Hai, only shrugged his shoulders.
"I'll kill you." Xue Jinxu threatened him openly.
Shi Fan Hai seemed to be getting more amused. "You're cute, little sweetheart. Tell me, how are you going to do that?" He wasn't a bit scared.
"Tell me so I can give you pointers." He mockingly laughed at her and jeered even more.
"What did my family do to you? How have we offended you?" Xue Jinxu questioned. At least she needed to know the root cause behind such evil intent.
"Well, my woman left me because of you. I hold grudges." He was still smiling, the taunting smile never left his face.
"I don't understand! Did any one of us force you to this engagement? Then, back out! Don't implicate us anymore!"
"It's not that simple little sweetheart. It so happened that I am also into your empire." He admitted honestly.
'This man is descipable! Purely evil!' She thought.
"I will never agree to this marriage!"
"Very well. I can simply acquire it through a buyout. Watch out, if it gets attacked until its lowest point. Either way, I will have it." He shrugged his shoulders.

"I will tell Grampa of your bad intentions. They won't agree to the wedding, then."
"Well, I guess your Grampa simply adores me. And who else is most befitting to be matched with you? Mhmm?"
"Don't underestimate our family. Just wait and see." She was gripping her handbag's handle ever so tightly. She was trying her best to control her temper.

She stood up and left the gazebo, towards the exit of the place. She passed by the veranda where the elders were staying.
In front of the elders, she said, "I will never agree to this marriage. Cancel it! Even if you disown me, I don't care!"
She stormed past and away. She was fuming with rage.
Mother and Father Xue went aghast with horror. They both stood up, and tried to appease the Shi elders beside them.
"Don't worry! Don't worry! We'll talk to her! We'll sort it out." Father Xue said.
"We're very sorry for her behavior. It's our fault we will teach her better!" Mother Xue was humiliated with her daughter's behavior.
"What happened?" The Shi parents asked.
"Just told her the truth. Our basic plan and all. She didn't take it well." He shrugged his shoulders. He had his mocking smile as usual while his deep droopy dark eyes showed amusement. "There might not be a marriage after all."
"You should have at least taken it lightly. That woman isn't as obedient like other daughters. It's your first meeting." Master Shi scolded his son.
"Well, I like it fierce. Whatever she does, it will be no match for me. She's just a woman."
Apparently the Shi Family took interest in the Xue Family since the former considered the latter an exceedingly weak prey. The latter only consisted of the old, women and the young. There really was no strength that would keep the family together. The Shi Family was also aware that the Xue Family needs their son, a strong fine heir.
As soon as she was in the car, Xue Jinxu called Grampa Xue. "Grampa, you are breeding a snake inside your own courtyard. I will never agree to marry that Shi brat. Grampa, he's behind the MT Dragon Heart incident, and he's behind Guangxi's abduction!"
"Xu-er, Xu-er! What are you talking about! The kid is good, and the best in his field and in all Imperial! He's the best for you out there! And what nonsense are you spouting?! Why are you blaming him of what had happened to our family and Guangxi? He is not even based here. All this time he was in South Korea!"

She drove straight home once she calmed down. When she reached the apartment complex, she stopped by at Apartment 201.
