In these past months, Guangxi had successfully completed his transition from being a high school student to a university student. The board of education had granted him his petition for taking a comprehensive exam to be able to get a high school diploma, which he passed. They also granted him to enroll in a local university after taking up an eligibility exam.
He was still the Marketing Director in Xue Shipping. He had arranged his schedule such that he would report to work from eight in the morning until five in the afternoon provided he had no schoolwork or classes. During his classes, he would leave the office to attend, and during school, he had instructed his subordinates that he's one call away if there's any urgent concern he's needed to address.
Butler Lee was always by his side to send and pick him up to school, and to guide him with his work. Guangxi had not hired a secretary or assistant in the office. In a sense, Butler Lee had become his secretary and assistant – his most loyal right hand. Butler Lee had been the loyal right hand of Chairman Xue, the Young Master, the Big Miss, and now of Guangxi.
At this point, Butler Lee was seated inside a car who was following the Second Young Master from a safe distance. Because they wanted Guangxi to experience a normal life, they were trying to keep him guarded from afar. They allowed him to appear just like a normal student does. He also had a backpack on, and had been walking between his classes. He also wore casual clothes to school, and during break time he also hang out with his classmates, albeit for a short while only since sometimes he still needed to go back to the office. At night, he went partying with his university friends in the nearby bars where most college students go.
Guangxi was walking along one of the roads inside his university. He had his metallic blue headphones on, and had been playing on his mobile phone while walking. He was walking near the middle of the road but also near the sidewalk, since the street was not frequented by cars. He was being oblivious of his surroundings.
"WATCH OUT!!!"
"EXCUSE ME! EXCUSE ME!!! A-AAHHH!!" There were urgent cries heard from a girl who was riding her bicycle. She was also ringing her bicycle's bell.
Because of his headphones, Guangxi could not here his surroundings.
"Y-YOU!! MOVE OUT!!!" The girl riding the bicycle had been shouting and seemed to be addressing Guangxi too.
"HEY YOU!! EXCUSE ME!!! OUT OF THE WAY!!!
"A-AAAHH!!!"
Because Guangxi was not moving out of her way, the girl tried to adjust, without hitting him. She swerved to the side. The front wheel of her bicycle bumped onto the gutter of the sidewalk. She was thrown away towards the bushes.
"A-ahh, that hurts!"
Finally Guangxi noticed the girl because the bicycle overtook him, which almost bumped into him. He ran towards the girl.
"A-are you okay, Miss?"
"Are you nuts? Why are you walking in the middle of a road WITH YOUR HEADPHONES ON?!" She roared.
Of course the girl was hurt, and of course her anger towards Guangxi was valid. He was not being careful at all, and not being considerate about others too.
"Sorry." Guangxi said sincerely. "My car's near. I'll take you to the infirmary."
She was furious but she also did not decline because she was really in pain, although she did not show it. She was still standing straight, despite her muscles aching near the elbows. She was also trembling from shock. She had scratches near the elbows and on her palms, and even on her legs. The bushes were quite rough. However, it's already fortunate that she landed on the bushes and not on the ground.
In the car, Guangxi instructed Butler Lee to head over the university's infirmary.
"What's your name?" He asked the girl.
"Kang Sola. You?" She also asked him.
"Xue Guangxi." He answered.
"Oh, you're named after the province Guangxi in the south? Interesting." The girl curiously asked him.
"Yeah, my parents named me after the place of their fruitful escapade to commemorate." Guangxi explained with a serious stoic face.
The girl's eyes were about to pop, and her cheeks turning purple after hearing the explanation.
"Pfttt… HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!"
Guangxi could not contain himself anymore and burst into laughter. "You should have seen your face! Hahahahaha!"
"Did you really believe that explanation? Hahahahaha!" Guangxi was so caught up with his own laughter that he did not notice the embarrassment in the girl's face.
Butler Lee simply shook his head on the driver's seat.
The girl got even more furious. "Mister, please stop the car. I can find my way to the infirmary."
"Hey, are you angry again? It was just a joke, okay? I'll drop you off at the infirmary." Guangxi had stopped laughing now.
"Please Mister." Kang Sola was only talking to Butler Lee. She's giving Guangxi the cold shoulder.
To begin with, she's already angry at Guangxi for causing the earlier accident. She only accepted his offer because she also did not want to move around with her injuries, although they weren't serious at all. She also accepted his offer, to make him take responsibility for his carelessness. However, her anger which had not yet dissipated completely had been rekindled, simply because this Guangxi guy that had been the cause of her accident turned out to be such a jerk and a loser! The more he laughed, the greater her abhorrence of his existence. She could not even stay any longer in the car.
In the end, Guangxi gave in and commanded Butler Lee to stop the car. He and Butler Lee also left the car and helped her get the bicycle that was slung on top of the car. Both of them checked the bicycle first, making sure that it was still safe to be rode on. Kang Sola thanked Butler Lee, but never spared Guangxi a glance.
She rode her bicycle and left towards the infirmary.
