I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't hear the wiz of the arrow, it flew quickly and decisively hitting me in the shoulder. It ripped through the shirt and viciously bit into my shoulder, the force of the arrow almost knocking me over.

"Alice!" Haru yelled, rushing towards me, but it felt like everything had slowed to a snail's pace. My brain was still trying to process that I'd just been hit with an arrow.

Gritting my teeth, I raise my hand and touch the arrow shaft. It was in deep, where in the hell had that come from? Raising my head I looked for the source of the arrow, but we were just in a room.

I didn't see anything, it was too dark. Haru was in front of me, pressing a hand onto my shoulder whilst looking at the arrow that was stuck in my shoulder. Why was I the only one that gets targeted for this shit?!

"Get down!" Envy's voice sounded this time, the glittering tip of an arrow came into view heading straight for my eye this time. In an instant a knife appeared and slammed into the arrow, diverting it off course and it flew harmlessly past my face.

Haru dragged me down to the ground as another arrow whizzed by my head. He pulled me towards the table, using it as cover from the hidden arrows that were flying throughout the room now.

My body hit the ground, driving the arrow deeper into my shoulder. Haru quickly flips the table over and I wiggle forwards protecting myself. Looking at my shoulder, I knew that the arrow needed to come out, every time I slide across the ground I jarred it and it dug deeper into my flesh.

"Pull...pull the arrow...out!" I grunt as I try my best not to slam my shoulder with the arrow onto anything. It was way to hard to maneuver like this, it had to come out.

"Are you sure?" Haru hesitated.

I glared at him. Huffing slightly, I reach an arm out, wrapping a hand around the shaft of the arrow. If he wouldn't pull it out for me, I suppose I had no choice but to do it myself.

Grunting to myself I began to pull, the tears began to pour out of my eyes. Even though I wanted to pull with all my might, I couldn't bring myself to do it. The pain was unbearable, every time I yanked on it, the arrowhead seemed to dig deeper into my flesh.

Releasing my hold on the arrow, I decided that I couldn't yank it out with brute force. My only option was to leave it for now, but it would be a hassle to just leave it like it was, it was causing far to much pain.

Grabbing the arrow again, I decided to break the shaft of the arrow snapping it down so that it wouldn't cause me to much pain every time I moved. It broke rather easily, throwing the broken bit away, I drag a few deep breaths into my lungs.

My vision felt off, it was getting blurry. Looking down at my shoulder, I could see that the flesh was turning a bit of a nasty looking purple, looked like I'd been poisoned.

"Misstress!" Envy's voice sounded like an airhorn right by my ear. Looking towards him, I saw that his eyes were glowing green. There was blood on his face as well, like I'd splattered. Blood?

Wait... where had the blood come from? My head was spinning.

"Hold still," he snapped quickly and then I saw the knife in his hand. Wait what was he going to do with the knife.

"We need to treat the poison," Haru's voice sounds this time by my other ear. I felt something prick my flesh, turning my head I notice a syringe of sort poking out of my shoulder.

At the same time, a painful sensation began to radiate from my other shoulder. Envy was using a knife to carve a line opening the skin around my arrow wound. Blood began to run down my shoulder and over my chest.

In the next instant, I felt a ripping and I could help but scream, as the rest of the arrow was wretched out of my shoulder. "Fuck! Envy," I cried softly as I pressed a hand to my shoulder. It was throbbing.

Grabbing my arm he removed my hand, and tape appeared in his hand that was sparkly and had little demented smiley faces on it. He quickly tapped up my shoulder and effectively sealing the wound up.

"Anytime and place Mistress," he replied although it didn't have his normal sarcasm to it. It was more serious, leaning back against the table. I felt sweat pour down my face and along my back, I felt horrible.

Like I'd eaten something bad, and was suffering from food poison.

"Envy did you kill them?" I ask him quickly, feeling a burning sensation of rage.

"Yes, but it would appear that even if I kill them more appear. I think we've wandered into a spawning ground for goblins," he told me as he wiped my blood off his hands.

"Great, can you kill them? They had to have gotten in here somehow that would be our ticket out of here!" I felt the excitement.

"There are too many for me to do alone," he shook his head and cast a glance around the table.

"Let's go, I'll help you," Haru's replies standing up all of the sudden in his hand was a scythe. It glowed a glittering gold, like his eyes. He gave off an electric feeling of power, his body blurred and then I heard the sound of screams.

Envy moved as well running quickly into the battle.

Taking a deep breath, I crawl towards the end of the table and peak my head out checking out the carnage that I could hear. The sound of blades cutting into flesh was like a symphony of bloody music.

The room was awash in a golden glow as Haru swang his scythe cutting down swaths of goblins here and there. I also noticed that there were ghost starting to float down from somewhere, the room had actually changed.

It was far longer, and there were more and more monster's pouring into the room. It was becoming a battlefield, for every monster that they killed two more would appear to take its place.

They were holding there own, but I could tell that the odds were starting to not moving in the favor. Soon we'd be overrun by the goblin vermin.

I needed to do something, I needed to help them!

"Alice, I have a suggestion!" The Witch of Blood's cute little voice rang out in my head.

"What?" I ask her quickly.

"You've got thirty-three skill points, if you add them to my level you can increase my rank to Primitive Rank one, at that point I can use the blood of the monster's that they've killed to support them," she replied.

"Let's do that then," I told her.

"Thank you, one moment," her voice chimed softly.

[Player has used twenty-six skill points to upgrade "Witch of Blood" to Primitive Rank One.]
