Time was ticking faster as the seconds passed by. He didn't want to waste a second of the precious time he had.

Noah took his long dark coat from the cloth rack next to the entrance door and slung it over his shoulder as he walked out in hurried steps.

Butler Jones, the most eldest servant in the mansion, was nearby the staircase which lead to the master's study room when he saw his master was about to descend the stairs. Quickly, he greeted his master.

"Sir, the breakfast will be ready in no second. Please pardon our mistake." He didn't forsee his master to come down at this early time and therefore the breakfast wasn't fully served at the moment. Usually, his master would eat breakfast at least two hours after meeting up with his assistant, Oscar but this morning, his master came down earlier than the usual.

"No need. I'll have my breakfast outside." With that, his master went out without sparing him a glance. It seemed that his master was indeed in rush at the moment.

Noah headed straightly to the side garage and pressed the special button attached to one of the pillars there. In no second, the blind was being pulled up and revealed black orange Bugatti Veyron under the grand light as if it was being displayed in the showroom for the public's eyes.

Within few steps, he strode over the Bugatti and using the automatic button on the car key, the driver door flung open. He tossed the black coat over the front passenger seat and settled in before warming up the engine.

Vroom! Vroom! The sound of the W16 engine resonated across the huge Mansion West Wing. Smoothly Noah drove his favourite car out of the mansion and headed to the private area located at the mountainous terrain in West City Central. The area there was owned by one of the respectable and influence conglomerates in West City. Therefore it was supervised with the toughest and strictest security. As he passed the first checkpoint, a team of men in black gushed out of the bushes along the road and formed a barricade few metres away from the checkpoint.

Noah had no choice but to slow down his Bugatti before fully stopping an inch away from the human barricade. He then pulled down the window and held a small envelope with his right hand out of the window. One of them strode to the side of the Bugatti and checked the document inside the envelope. After awhile, that man nodded his head to his team signalling an approval to pass through the security and in a swift movement, the barricade changed its formation to side by side line permitting the access to the road leading to the top of the mountain.

It took half an hour for his Bugatti to reach the peak. Within his sight, got a moderate house with no fence guarded the house and the surrounding was so quiet as if no one occupied the place at the moment. However, the house seemed to be in well maintainance.

Noah went out of his car along with his black coat properly covered his tall figure and walked to the front door silently. Before he could announce his presence, the door was flung open.

"Mr. O'Sullivan" A man in mid forties welcomed the guest by slightly bending his upper body downwards to show his respect before inviting a hand greet between them.

"Mr. Miller." A warm smile tug at the corner of his mouth as he accepted the handshake. As usual , he always portrayed a friendly and gentleman appearance in front of his new acquaintances. Depending on the type of relationship he had with that person , he would act accordingly and slowly reveal his true fang if the circumstances incited him to do so. In this nature of business , naturally he would control his temper as he formed new alliance with the backbone of West City government operation.

"Please come in. Pardon if the condition of my house is such a disgrace."

"It should be my apology for coming this early morning. I hope we could form a deep bond between us by the end of my visit."

"Of course Mr. O'Sullivan. Then , I assume we won't take much time to reach a consensus today, Mr. O'Sullivan."

Unknown to the public, Charles Miller played the most vital role in ensuring the stability of the politics across this city. He also had the final say on the election process of the next mayor appointment that would be conducted every five years. Even after the successor of the mayor position was announced, Charles held the power of directing how the government should operate and eventually controlled the whole system of this city governance. He was the de facto leader of West City who chose to shy away from the limelight and lived in a humble house in contrast to his great influence in the political field. No one knew why he decided on this kind of living style unlike how other conglomerates had been showing off their wealthy.

Soon after they both properly sat down with only two of them in the house, Charles expressed his honest thoughts of the intention showed by Noah in the emails they had been communicating to each other before they finally met up today.

"It's quite surprising to know that you would be interested in this round election campaign. I suppose your presence today represent your family trust in our future city development."

"Mr. Miller, I hope you didn't get your hope too high with my willingness to be on board this time. Every of my actions or decisions doesn't associate with my family's influence. In fact in the future, you probably would witness such a bizarre entertainment to be displayed by my family."

"Oh! I see. So you chose to be independent from the influence of O'Sullivan empire. That's a rare stand to be taken by young man like you. To break free from your own family ties will bring many misfortunes throughout the path you're about to take on. Why bother to walk on the bumpy road when you could stroll on the flowery path?"

" What can I do Mr. Miller... I may alter my surname on the paper but I couldn't change whose blood that's flowing inside my body. Nevertheless the fate of my life should be determined solely by myself not others."

"Such a great determination. They say birds of a feather flock together."

"Indeed Mr. Miller."
