“Master, you have to return. You can’t just leave us behind!”

“Mas… Master,  Come… come back! Definitely… Definitely have to come back!”

“Master, you have to take care of yourself when in the Provincial Capital. Don’t forget about us.”

My three disciples seem to have realized that once I’ve left Bajiao Village, I won’t return. It’s like when an eagle spreads its wings. Once it flies into the sky, it will fall in love with the endless boundaries of the sky. Why would it return to the bird cage called Bajiao Village?

Grandpa had a slightly hunched back while he kept reminding me to maintain a tight grip of my luggage and personally put it into the trunk of the car.

“Master, this is my grandson who is going to the Provincial Capital and once he arrives there, there should be a person who’ll pick him up, a woman. Her last name is Lin. Please don’t let my grandson leave the car until you see that woman.” Grandpa was very nervous about me going alone and pulled aside the bus driver to repeatedly remind him of this.

“Senior, you can be rest assured. Your grandson is so clever that when he heads out he’ll be like a dragon who went into the sea. No one will be able to fool him.” The bus driver was already very used to this scenario.

“Grandpa, you can head back! Huang Shulang, Ma Jindong, and Li Lijuan, you all must all take care of my Grandpa. Golden bean, take care of the home.” I shouted loudly.

Before the car started moving, Grandpa remembered something, and hurriedly got off the car, running to the bus stop.

The bus is about to leave, anyone who’s dropping people off, please get off the bus.” As soon as Grandpa got off, the conductor was already telling everyone who had come to drop people off to get off the bus.

“You three, get off the bus. Huang Shulang you better not be lazy. When I come back, if you haven’t made any progress, don’t blame me when I discipline you. If I don’t come back from this visit, I’ll figure out a way to come back and take you all out. Not only do all of you have to improve your Martial Arts, but you also have to take care of Grandpa.” I patted Huang Shulang.

“Master, feel rest assured. I’ll treat Grandpa just like how I treat my own. I’ll definitely take good care of him.” Huang Shulang patted his chest and promised.

“I… I will also help.” Ma Jindong wasn’t willing to fall behind.

Li Lijuan said with specificity: “Everyday before and after I go to school I’ll head over and complete the tasks you usually do. My grandpa and grandma’s illnesses have already been fully cured, so they can handle all the tasks at home.

I urged Huang Shulang and the rest of them to get off the bus, while my eyes darted everywhere in search of Grandpa. However, I had no idea where Grandpa went. My heart soured. I’m leaving this place that I’ve never left since birth, to an unfamiliar place.

The bus doors slowly closed, as if they were closing the door home. I quickly approached the glass window with my eyes stuck to the glass. I strenuously searched for any trace of Grandpa around the station entrance. Finally I saw Grandpa running in from the entrance, carrying a bag full of items in his hands. Initially, he went to go buy some things for me.

The bus slowly left the platform while Grandpa struggled to walk through the crowd. By the time he reached the platform, the bus driver had already started the bus and slowly drove to the exit.

Grandpa speedily ran towards the bus

“Master, could you stop the bus, my Grandpa came to give me something.” I immediately told the bus driver.

“Aiya, It’s already time to go. If we stop again, then we’ll be late.” The bus driver looked at me and impatiently shook his head.

“Master, how about you help? It’s not a problem if we’re a bit late. His family is just a single elderly person and the grandson is going out alone, so who wouldn’t be worried. It’s not easy to raise a grandson!” An elderly person shouted.

The driver reluctantly said, “Ok, ok, Be quick about it. If we’re too late, the station will deduct money from my paycheck.”

None of the passengers on the bus believed these words, and I also knew that it was nothing more than the driver making up an excuse. He just didn’t want to trouble himself.

“Master, in the world, everyone will have a time where they need someone else’s help. You helped me this time, so maybe I can help you one day,” I said.

The bus driver looked at me with surprise. He was very surprised that a child could say words like this.

“Alright. The driver stopped the bus and opened the door. “Senior, we are about to leave. Give the items to your grandson, and go home feeling rest assured. Your grandson isn’t simple. When he goes out into the world, he definitely won’t eat any losses.

I had already ran to the bus door. “Grandpa, relax and go home. When I go this time, if I’m able to build a stable foundation for myself, then I’ll come home and pick you up. Take care of yourself. If you have any problems, let Huang Shulang and the others solve them.

“Ah, Grandpa bought you some snacks to eat on the road.” Grandpa shoved a plastic bag packed to the brim with items into my hands. After this, He used some force to pat my head hard, then turned around and got off the bus.

The bus slowly started to move, getting faster and faster.

I immediately ran to the back of my car to see my grandpa standing there, waving at me.

Tears began to stream out of my eyes like spring water, muddling my vision.\

    Those dearest to me, goodbye!

The bus constantly swayed back and forth while driving on the curved road. I also kept shaking in my seat as the bus swayed.

After driving for a few hours, the bus finally entered the highway. At this time, the bus also began to speed up.

For a normal child sitting in the bus, I’m afraid they’d already be asleep, however, I felt no sleepiness at all. For the entirety of the trip, I curiously looked outside at the changes in the landscape.

    “Huang Jingyang! Where are you?”

“Teacher Lin, I am here!” The moment I heard Teacher Lin’s voice, it was like seeing a bright light appear within the darkness.

The bus driver who had been pestered by Grandpa had long forgotten me outside at Jiuxiaoyun. Within the bus compartment, I found my luggage. Teacher Lin wanted to pick it up, but I shook my head.

“What? I haven’t seen Teacher Lin for so long. Is it really you?” Teacher Lin laughed in response.

“There are many things within the bag, making it very heavy. You won’t necessarily be able to carry it.” I said seriously.

Seeing me with such a serious look on my face, Teacher Lin smiled sweetly: “If a brat like you can carry it, then why can’t I?”

Teacher Lin took the bag off my back and proceeded to lift it up. The weight of the bag caught Teacher Lin off guard, sinking and eventually falling directly onto the ground.

“Didn’t I say so? Yet you still didn’t believe me.” I lifted up the bag with a single hand.

Teacher Lin smiled helplessly: “Walk with me, dumb idiot.”

I looked back at the bus heading back home. It felt like the only place I could feel any aura of home was from it. However, now I have to dive headfirst into a completely unfamiliar city.

    Goodbye!
