Wearing a light blue colored dress, Xiao Jun put a veil on and then went out with Yue to find Yun Long waiting outside the doors.
People had crowded around and were whispering to each other, complimenting the princess' looks as well as complimenting Yun Long's.
Walking with Yun Long, she kept silent as she gazed around the market.
Yun Long watched the girl walk silently and he then walked over to a stall that sold hair accessories.
He found an exquisite white jade hair pin with gold carvings and it contained a dangling jewel on the end that shimmered at a certain angle. Xiao Jun reached out and took it from his hands to examine it, "Pretty...and simple.." she whispered.
"Princess, if you like it, why not buy it?" the shop lady asked, she recognized the two as they had been the talk of the city currently.
Xiao Jun gave a polite smile and put the hair pin down, "Unfortunately, I did not bring any money with me." she sighed.
Yun Long picked the hair pin up and then put a few gold coins on the table. "Is that enough?" he asked. The lady nodded, "It is! It is!"
Yun Long looked at the hair pin and then put it into Xiao Jun's hand. "As long as you like it, I'll buy it for you."
Xiao Jun blushed and looked around, "Then don't blame this princess if you become penniless." she joked, making the shop lady laugh and Yun Long smiled.
Everyone was shocked, the General! The General smiled! Never did he smile for anyone.
The two continued to walk but then Xiao Jun stopped, "What's wrong?" Yun Long asked.
She pointed over to a young couple that had caught her attention, "Look, it's your Yue Qi and my Mei'er. Impressive, he changed his clothing for once."
Yun Long looked and then nodded, "I was wondering why he asked me for a day off."
Xiao Jun laughed lightly, "Since they truly like each other, let's just go and not embarrass them." she walked in the direction of a fancy restaurant and Yun Long got them a private room.
In the private room, Xiao Jun was eating when Yun Long reached over with food, "Try this."
Setting her chopsticks down, she ate what she was given and smiled, "It's good, what is it?"
"It's braised pork in a savory spicy sauce with fried vegetables." he replied, putting more of it in her bowl. She happily ate and once their meal was over, Xiao Jun stood up and went to look out the window. Feeling someone behind her, she turned and was met by Yun Long's chest.
Looking up at him, her lips were captured in a kiss and she grasped his sleeves in surprise.

Pulling away, Yun Long stroked the cheek of a blushing Xiao Jun and earned himself a hit on the chest.
"You! What are you doing? It's broad daylight and we're in public!" she exclaimed, looking to make sure no one was peeking from the door.
He chuckled and then said, "It's alright. Let me be shameless for once."
Rolling her eyes, Xiao Jun pulled away from Yun Long and sat back down, fixing her veil.
Suddenly, the door to their private room opened and a familiar looking man walked in.
"Jun'er! Is it true? You're getting married?" he asked, ignoring the fact that Yun Long was in the room.
Xiao Jun looked up and then her eyes widened. Why was he here?!
She stood up and nodded, "It's true. I'm getting married, but why are you here in Han?"
The man was a friend from her childhood, someone she regarded as an older brother. His name was Li Ming Yu, son of a respected, but retired General.
He went to hold Xiao Jun's hand but Yun Long pulled her back. "Please refrain from touching my fiancee." Xiao Jun looked up at Yun Long and Yun Long nodded.
Ming Yu looked upset, he never got to let Xiao Jun know that he loved her before he was sent out to the fronts. That was 4 years ago.
Throwing back his sleeves, Ming Yu left in anger. Watching him leave, Xiao Jun felt a bit upset but what was she to do? Chase after him and give him false signals?
Yun Long hugged Xiao Jun close and then stroked her hair, "Don't think too much about it. You cannot control the hearts of others."
