Mei'er ran over to where her 'brother' stood and hid behind him. Xiao Jun raised an eyebrow and looked up from the table where various hair accessories were laid out.
Since they were in the capital, Xiao Jun found a clothing shop and bought a couple new outfits for the two that they could carry around. The outfits were of the highest quality they could currently afford with the money that Xiao Jun had and she had found a small house that they could stay in instead of an inn.
"What's wrong? What has made you run back so scared?"
Mei'er pointed forward and three angry men were walking towards them.
Xiao Jun's eyes widened and her jaw dropped, looking back at the shaking girl, she whispered, "What in the hell did you do to offend them?! Such big looking men..."
Mei'er just laughed sheepishly, "I...I might've outsmarted t-them....haha.."
'Causing trouble when you can't even fight properly yet!'
Xiao Jun sighed and looked forward again, the three men right in front of her face, making her jump and she smiled lightly.
"..Three young men.. what can I do for you?" Xiao Jun cupped her hands and politely bowed.
The taller of the three pointed his fan at Mei'er and bluntly spoke, "Hand the girl over. Wouldn't want to hurt a pretty scholar."
The other two laughed and Xiao Jun wanted to puke blood when she saw his expression. His eyes wandered her body and she wanted to shrink inside herself.
Even if she was dressed as a male, she would not allow some random man ogle at her body like that! The smile on her face disappeared and the air around her chilled, making the two followers of the taller man shrink back and they looked down.
"Move back.."
Mei'er stepped back a few steps and watched as Xiao Jun stared up at the taller man.
"Young man... you better watch your words. This 'pretty scholar' does not appreciate your ogling eyes towards my sister and I. Maybe I should blind you~" In a few steps, she had kicked him down to his knees and pointed a dagger towards his left eye from her sleeve and a malicious glint in her eyes.
The man shook in terror and he stuttered, "I-I apologize! I really apologize! I won't do it again!"
She kicked him back and he scrambled to his feet, running off as there was a wet spot in his pants.
"Serves you right! Who told you to come and mess with my Big Brother!" Mei'er exclaimed, completely throwing her lady-like image away.
The civilians just stared at Xiao Jun as she put the dagger away and then flicked Mei'er on the forehead. "You! Who told you to go and provoke them? Hah?!" She sighed and Mei'er just giggled again before innocently smiling, "Sorry~ Let's just go back, I want to train some more."
"Young Master, what is it that you need?" Yue Qi asked. In front of him sat a young man that wore a simple blue and silver embroidered robe with his hair pulled up into a silver coronet.
The man continued to sip on his tea as he replied, "Investigate that boy I met in the forest. He says his name is Jun."
Yue Qi nodded and ran off with his sword in his hand.
A high pitched called out, "Big Brother~!" and Yun Long sighed. This girl has been near him since little and would not leave him alone. She is like the littler sister he never had but she sees him as a man instead.
Looking up from where he sat, a girl wearing a pink dress ran in as her gold accessories jingled in her hair.
"What is it? Can't you be more proper?" Yun Long frowned, the girl pouted and sat across from him, "Big Brother! You are my future husband! Why can't I come?"
Yun Long wanted to spit up blood and knock the girl upside the head.
Husband?! He is 21 and she is merely 11, that is not appropriate in the slightest!
He stared at her coldly and left with a flap of his sleeves, frowning as he walked out.
'Hua Zhi Ruo! You are too daring for an 11 year old!'
Hua Zhi Ruo frowned as she watched Yun Long leave and in a fit, she pushed the teacups and trays of snacks to the floor. "You bastard! I may be young still but I will make sure that no woman gets close to you! You are mine!"
(A: only 11 and so frightening.... *shivers*)
The maids around her kept calm and simply waited for Zhi Ruo's temper to go away. They knew that this Young Miss had feelings for their Young Master but felt that this Young Miss was no match for their Young Master, she only knew how to throw fits and wasn't as innocent as she appeared.
