"What the he…" Si ying almost forgot that Yuerui was in the room. He controlled his casual words and then said in a sophisticated manner; "You called me boss?" he was behaving as if this tower of files didn't shock him at all and it was a common thing for him.
Xianwang gave a nod and said, "Tell miss Mai the place of these files." Then he continued to work on his computer.
Si ying instructed Yuerui to arrange the files. It took about an hour to arrange them. After arranging thousand of files Yuerui was so exhausted. She sat on the sofa to rest while Si ying brought her a glass of orange juice from the drinks bar and a glass of graph juice for him.
"You must have been really tired. I am sorry it's my job to look after all this stuff of boss but you had to do it." Si ying said while sitting next to Yuerui.
When Si ying sat a little close to Yuerui unconsciously she slightly moved away from her sit to creat a little distance then sipped orange juice from her glass to get off the exhaustion. She sipped from her glass in 30-40 seconds interval. Although she drank very little, she wiped her mouth with a tissue paper every time she sipped from the glass. She doesn't wanna look messy in front of people.
The large black and white marble designed office became very silent. No one was talking anything. Only the typing sound of Xianwang could be heard. Even though Xianwang was glancing at them in every two seconds but he continued his work.
The office was mute for about 5 minutes. Due to her nature Yuerui was comfortable with the environment since she didn't know what she should say to start a conversation. She was not sure if she should start talking since she is new and if it's okay to talk with the boss's secretary in front of boss. But the minds of the two friends were not in peace.
'Why isn't she speaking anything?' both of them thought. They looked at each other to ask the same question. Then Xianwang signaled him to start a conversation.
"Cough…cough well Miss Mai how are you doing in our office? Is everything in your liking? Or are you having any problem in adapting with the office?
Yuerui released the glass from her mouth she was drinking and gave an innocent sweet smile. She thought in her mind, 'I like this office so much that I wanna ran from here and never return. This boss of yours gives me so much pain that I wanna smack his face which he flaunts so much with a hammer. But because of the status of this office I am staying here. And of course Su and Kai are the oxygen for me in this office. Without them I don't know how I would survive.'
But as usual she replied shortly saying,"It's good. Everyone's good with me." The innocent smile that she put on her face didn't leave at all.
The room again fell on silence. Things again got into awkward mode.
'Should I say something?' Yuerui thought after about 2 minutes silence.
Before she could say anything Si ying said, "I saw the marketing department has given you the welcome party that day. It's really good of your department that they welcome their new colleagues warmly. Did you enjoy the party?"
Si ying suddenly saying about the welcome party made her unprepared.
The incident that night flashed in front of her eyes.
'What's this? Why is he asking me about that day? Did that weirdo suspect anything? What should I say?'
'A guilty mind is always suspicious.' This is the proverb that suits her now.
She was thinking like crazy. She was wrecking her head very hard on what she should say.
After thinking very hard she just said the most simple answer.
