As Ayanna sipped her tea, she relaxed and studied her environment. She was sitting at a cafe close to a big hotel named Haven Hotel. It's one of the best in town as lots of influential people patronizes it. As she continues to study her environment, she saw a little girl, so cute; can't be more than 4years who was hanging out with perhaps her mummy. She was eating a hot dog but was removing the accompanying veggies.
Ayanna had a flash back to when she was at about that age. Her mum had tried to take her along to see her father as promised.
They had secretly packed their bag. Nothing major, just a few necessities. She really didn't want anyone to find out they were travelling. Her mother and father were still worried about her since she insisted on having her child. She was still very much in love with Prince Martin Obaseki, the king of her heart, the man that stole her heart almost three years ago and the father of her cute little baby girl Ayanna. She plans to return to him in Nigeria against her parents' knowledge.
Ayanna has always been a cute child, more mature than her age. Without fuss, she followed her mum out to the car park. They had a flight to catch. Elenna, knew her mother was home but her father had already gone to work even though he is the chairman of the company he still maintains his routine of going to the office early he says since he gets there on time who can do otherwise. She goes to the sitting room and tells her mother she was going shopping with Ayanna. Not suspecting anything, her mother agrees. "Just be careful, Elenna, and get me a basket of dried cashew nuts.' 'Ok mum', Elenna replied.
Then she left the house with her daughter, Ayanna in one of the sport cars.
Elenna drove straight to the airport as fast as she could. She didn't want to miss her flight at all. As she drove, she looked at her side and rear mirrors to be sure no one was following them, and no one was. That was a relief. The last time she tried travelling with her daughter,(then her daughter was a year and two months old) they had been tailed without her knowing it. She bought the ticket and waited for their flight to be announced, only for her father to appear in front of her with his guards and practically dragged her out of the airport while one of the guards picked up her daughter. She cried and kicked but no one came to her rescue. Her father threw her into the waiting limousine and drove her right back home. What humiliation! Anyway, here she was now being more careful.
Now at the airport, Elenna didn't know the drama waiting for her. She believes she has escaped with her daughter. She was a twenty-three years old woman, desperately in need to get back to her lover. Hence, this decision. She couldn't understand why her parents won't allow her be with Prince Martin Obaseki. The guy had everything any parent would want for their daughter. So, why? Anyways, she was going to him and that's final.
On getting to the airport this time, immediately she parked the vehicle and stepped out, her Father's guards all came out from where they were waiting and surrounded her one of them took over her wheels while her father threw a slap across her face.
Elenna was stunned. She begged, cried and screamed for her Father's permission to go, all to no avail. It was simply pathetic.
