Knocking on the door, Derek peeping inside Cassandra's room. Quinn looks up, stares at Derek who's gesturing at him to come. He nodded.

Turned his gaze at Cassandra, Quinn said. "All right. If you need anything, you can ask Butler Pete or Butler Leroy," he told Cassandra.

Dumbfounded, disbelief written all over her face which made Quinn chuckled. "If you want to go to the kitchen, ask them to lead you."

Embarrassed, she responded, "Oh. I see. But how about the other maidservant? I didn't see anyone around to ask them instead."

"About that, we don't like them wandering around—"

"Oh, I'm sorry, Master. I wandered around, even you did not request me."

Quinn chuckled. She amused him. "All right, I forgive you. Anyway, if you get hungry, just go to the kitchen anytime you like to."

"Oh, can I?"

He nodded. She looks very surprised, only confirming that she does not have a pleasant life back to her real life. His chest throbbing this much once again.

Why does he feel this way? Is it because the person in front of him is not the real Cassandra from this lifetime? Quinn's thought.

"Thank you for your kindness, Master! Please, call me if you needed anything." Cassandra then bowed at him.

Amused, Quinn hid that silly smile playing on his lips. She was just this cute playing as his maidservant. He doesn't want to imagine her wearing a costume. This play is not convenient at all, it was like a hidden desire, bringing a dangerous situation for both of them. But he can't help it. There's no better idea he could come up with; to hide the truth from her.

Quinn steps out from the bedroom. He then follows Derek to the library. Right away, he inquired about the progress of the research preparation.

"Here, are the list of people we needed for the project, Quinn." Derek places down seven folders on the table. "They are from different professions who I think can help us."

Looking through the files and references, everyone has amazing achievements.

"There is nothing to worry, they are all members of the Alliance and you knew some of them personally."

"Great. Please summon them as soon as possible for the aim of this project. I will entrust you with the needed explanation about our situation."

"Don't worry, leave them to me," Derek assured. He is also excited about this project. It is another breakthrough for science beyond the hidden mystery of this world. No. It will be a contribution to new knowledge.

"Thank you."

Derek observes Quinn. Is he losing weight? "Hey, are you eating properly?" he asked Quinn. "I heard you were working all night. How can you travel time if your health is falling?"

"Blaire and Meisha are going back to mainland City to take care of the company in my absence. I could have less work soon."

"We have to watch your health. You better to visit the facility for a check-up. We need to make sure that your past illness has not developed again."

"All right, I will visit one of these days," he told Derek.

"Sooner is better."

"Okay, I understand. But you know I can leave her alone."

"How if Levi and Madison watch her during those days? So then, you can go?"

"Hmm, a good idea." Quinn agreed.

"Then, I have to leave now and go back to the facility. I must begin preparing my presentation."

"Great. I look forward to it."

Derek glances at Quinn one more time before he closes the library door. Truth is, he pitied him to face this kind of situation. He believes Quinn doesn't deserve this punishment. But why he has to go through such another situation?

Isn't the past has already corrected?

Why does Carlisle keep suffering even after the reset time?

These are the thoughts that confused him. It seems, there is something wrong with everything that happened.

Derek was trailing the hallway down toward the grand entrance of the mansion when he spotted Cassie looking up at a painting. He heard that she liked to visit a gallery. Said, one time Quinn disguised as cleaners just to get a closer look at her since Landon prohibited Quinn to get close to her.

Derek finally has an idea. Levi and Madison should bring her to the Art Museum. Much better if they go to the neighboring country.

"Hi!"

Derek approached her then introduced himself. "Doctor Derek Williams," he extends his hand toward Cassie, but she only bowed.

"Hello, Doctor Williams," she bowed.

'Oh... Interesting.' So this is the act they were playing, as what Levi telling everyone.

"Um, I visited my nephew, Quinn. Anyway, I have a few favors to ask for your Master's behalf. Is that fine?"

"It is, Doctor Williams."

Derek smiled. No wonder that guy has a troubled face. Cassie is cute being like this, forgotten everyone and acting as Quinn's maid.

"Ahem. I want you to make sure that your master is eating properly and sleeping enough." Derek began. Cassie was listening carefully and nodded.

"He would eat better if there is someone he shares a meal likely accompanied him."

Her eyes widen. What does it mean? Then she realized, his wife wasn't here so maybe that is the reason he is not eating properly? But sharing a meal together? Like what?

"I understood, Doctor Williams. I will do my best," she bowed. She's actually puzzled, but maybe she will just follow whatever her master requests.

Derek smirked. This is exciting. She shows politeness and a very interesting attitude.

Lunchtime...

Cassie knocks on the library before she entered the room. "Um, Master Quinn. Butler Pete wished to know whether you prefer lunch."

"Oh, is it lunchtime already?" he glances at his wristwatch.

"It is past noon, Master."

"I see."

Cassie contemplates the words Derek asks her. No wonder he asks this favor because he won't remember to eat it won't remind him.

"Okay. Tell butler Pete to prepare the lunch at the poolside," his request.

"Understood, Master. I will help them in setting the table."

"Sure..." he looks up, then smiled at her.

When the real one came back, he wonders if what he would tell her about all the things that happen in her absence. Could he tell her he has no choice but to make her believe she is a maid and ordering her around?

He wishes that she was in good hands. Quinn put down his tab and then looked up into the gloomy sky again. He waited for fifteen minutes before he gradually strides the hallway toward the poolside. The maidservants bowed on his arrival then left, followed, Butler Leroy and Butler Pete step out of the room, and close the glass door but stood behind it to attend once the master needed them.

At this moment, completely no idea of what is going on, Cassandra stood quietly three meters away from the table, head down but prepared to serve her master. Quinn smirked. She really is doing her job, huh?

He badly wanted to hug her. He felt so hopeless each day.
