Zeth is really strong. Even Shiv who defeated Elou easily was beaten fast. I can't let my guard down or I won't reach the semi-final round. People cheered for Zeth not only because he is so famous that they use his avatar to advertise the game, which they don't need to do anymore because most of the people around the world play the game.
"That was a good fight for Zeth, he really dominated the fight and defeated his opponent using his well-known combo attacks," Aika commented. She seems to be really having fun too much.
"Yes. Zeth is not only good when it comes to offensive abilities but he is also really tough. He can even solo rare bosses without taking too much damage." I also did that, with Shade...
"The next fight will now begin. You might think we are rushing the matches but we are all excited that we want to start the fight as soon as possible." Aika shows how excited she is. (This is not entirely the real reason why the chapters have short fight scenes. Wahaha)
"The participants for the next match are Shella, the Water Manipulator and guild leader of Drowned Trident and Scythus, the Infamous Murderer and the Master of Dark Flame!" Now it's my turn. I'm really excited and fired up but my fiery determination won't really work here though.
I entered the arena at the same time as that Shella girl. She is wearing her usual armor without the fins of course and I'm wearing a hooded light armor and shield at my back. I'm pretty sure my fire spells won't work that well against her water spells so I should only try to use it if I have a chance.
"Ready, Fight!" Aika signaled the start of the fight.
I decided to run around the arena and avoid doing something stupid. By running, I can easily use the momentum to dodge or attack and that would be an advantage for me if she uses long-range attacks.
"RAINY SEASON!" She used one of her environment control spells which reduce fire spells and also increase her water attribute spells. I knew that she will use it but this is really bad for me.
"WATER BLAST!" A fast water ball was launched! It's her first move like the last time. But it isn't fast enough to catch me.
"WATER MANIPULATION! AQUA EXPLOSION!" Did she just say...
*BOOOOOM!* The water exploded and the force of the water hit me and knocked me back! It wasn't that much damage but the knockback effect increased our distance from each other decreasing my chance to hit her. I can't use any dark based long range technique without infusing it to my fire spell and if I use a fire spell that would get extinguished fast and won't reach her. This is really bad for me.
"WATER WAVE!" She created a tall wave and now coming towards my direction! It's so wide that I can't outmaneuver it. If that would hit me, it will push me out of the arena. All I can to do is jump high enough. So I jumped! But she already launched her next attack!
"WATER PRISON!" This time the water below created a sphere of water and caught me! I can't move and I can't breathe! These spells really is a pain in the ass.
*SLAAASH* I tried t slash the water prison in half but it won't get cut because it's made out of the water! I really need to read cutting water in half for dummies.
She then lifts me higher and higher! What is she planning?! I can't breathe!
"WATER PRISON DROP!" She dropped the water sphere and her purpose is to drop me to death but that's not going to happen!
"FIRE*BLOB* AURA*BLOB!" I can't speak clearly with the water but I poured a lot of mana and used a massive firepower to destroy the prison!
*PSSSSSSSSHHH!* The water prison disappeared and evaporated in just a couple of seconds. That was a huge loss on mana but I rather use it than to get drowned and smashed to death. I didn't hit the floor and just dropped normally. That really hurt my feet though.
"WATER TRIDENT!" Now she is going to use a spiky trident made out of the water. She threw it at me and was aiming to deal damage. I have to regenerate my mana first so I have to avoid without using spells. I dodge it on time just like the others.
"WATER MANIPULATION! WATER THORNS!" The trident change form and became a large amount of spiky thorny droplets! This is bad!
"FIRE BOOSTER!" I used one of my overused gap-closer to avoid the droplets but this time, it didn't really boost my speed that much because it got extinguished so fast. I managed to get near her but not so close that I can attack her. If only I know how to use that slash waves aurora and the red hooded used. Finally, I reached her! It seems she is also recharging her mana because of excessive use earlier.
"DARK EXPLOSIVE FIST!" I used a different kind of skill rather than the ones I always use. I aimed it to the ground hitting it. The explosion was so powerful that it created a powerful dark shockwave that also hit Shella! I dealt damage but not enough to turn the tides of battle, the pun wasn't intended. I once again tried to rush towards her.
"WATER BULLETS!" Smaller concentrated water-based range attacks were cast and were aimed at me!
*SWOOOOOSH! SWOOOSH!* I rolled to the ground to evade them. Damn it! So fast! This girl won't let me even go near her. Shade's passive won't make a difference either because she only uses spells!
"It looks like Scythus who is really scary and powerful is having trouble with Shella's tricky spells! Is this the match the hideous murderer would lose?! This girl is on water!" Aika excitedly said. Getting excited about me getting beaten, that's really interesting.
"His fire won't really work around the arena and he can only use melee dark skills and that means Shella really has the upper hand in this fight but let's not jump to any conclusions yet." Sometimes I wonder if this old geezer really is dumb or not.
At least I have to try something or I won't win the match.
"SHADE'S WRATH!" I used my monster soul and transformed with black armor and a sword, can't really use the sword here because of her pesky spells.
"MERMAID'S QUEEN'S WRATH!" She decided to take this fight seriously too. I know I'm losing but I have to win!
