"Is this the new guild we heard about? But there are no other buildings beside this big wooden house." One of the players outside spoke up.
"Who said that you can get a free house? You have to earn it. We don't just let people be part of our guild that easily. Though, if you are visitors, there is nothing to see here." Scy replied bluntly but he is right. We spent the night building a single large guild hall and I have to admit, it's really hard.
"We all know that you are the second strongest player around the world of New Life Online but we have to see first if you really deserve that title." Hmmmm. Another guy replied, a competitive one.
"Ok, big mouth, so let's do the test first and let's see if you deserve to even talk. Here is Akko. I know most of you know her. Those who will survive from her attacks and doesn't leave the place can join our guild. Of course, you can fight back and defeat her instead. Easy, right? With your numbers and strength, I can tell that you can defeat her instantly." Is he insane? There are like more than a thousand players here.
"Oh, I forgot. The test is going to be held outside of this forest because we don't want to destroy the beautiful place right?" But why is Akko so calm?
-North Grassland, South Entrance of the Forest-
I can't believe no one asked any questions after he said that. I guess they all want to also try it out if we are really worth their time.
"DENY DEATH!" Lili cast a spell around the area! After that, she got exhausted too much that she almost fell down but Elou helped her.
"Lili used a spell that when receiving a fatal hit that would kill a player, one percent of their hp will be remained instead and cancel all DOT effects like poison, burn or curses. This only occurs once and you will have a choice if you stop attacking and just retreat or continue and bet your life to defeat her." This is really serious. Lili even used all of her mana for this test.
Akko entered and most of them surrounded her already. They are just getting ready to defeat her.
"Ready, Start!" Scy signaled the start of the test!
*SWOOOOOSH!* Miss Akko used a spell that can make her move so fast!
*SWOOOOOSH SWOOSWOOSWOOOSH!* A large number of different kinds of elements flew towards her! Fire, wind, ice, water and even dark spells were already at her! But some of them collided to other spells! She left unscathed! No coordination whatsoever!
*BAAAAAAM BABABAAAAAAAAM!* Several explosions happened and devastated the area where she is but...
"FLAME FIST!"
*BAAAAAAAAAM* She was already out of the range of the explosion after using fire booster! A lot of the players got hit by her devastating attack which almost killed a lot of them! Thanks to Lili's buff all of them are alive!
"So, I can go all out without worrying too much." She's really strong! Didn't even blink an eye hitting those helpless players!
"*DIFFERENT VOICES* WRATH!" They decided to use their monster forms to make sure that they can defeat her easily!
One of them summoned several undead horsemen and most of them have their own different kinds of monster soul attributes! They are all strong but they don't have teamwork and just use their spells like crazy!
"Hey, guys! If we want to defeat her, we should plan our move first!" One of the other guys said. He has a monster soul of something like dark and light. Some kind of strategist.
"Well based on my observation, she really is fast and uses her spell to her advantage. But from what I can see, she can only use fire spells." Another one of them said. I think he only observes the fight and hasn't made a single move.
"Those who can use water spells, trap her now!" They are trying to have a teamwork! This is bad!
Water from below started to move and followed Akko's movements! Some of them use good water spells but one of the guys caught my attention! He is even using a large amount of water than the others and I think it's because of his monster soul!
"FLAME FIST BARRAGE!" The water that is chasing her was destroyed by her overpowered consecutive fire spells that made the water disappear! Water is supposed to beat fire, right?!
"I should really stop playing around. It's time to get serious. SCORCHING AURA!" Is it just me or is it getting too hot in here?
Miss Akko released an aura that burns everything near hear. The grass around her just disappears with her presence.
*SWOOOOSH!* One of the girls threw a book... but it got burned the moment it reached her range... hmmm. What was that for?
I can see that most of them also have fire and Ice-type Monster Souls but it will be a bad choice to use them... They are not moving, because they know that a single wrong move would be their loss. They also stopped surrounding her and backed off, some of them hid their presence and preparing for surprise attacks.
"FLAME WAVE!" Miss Akko created a wave of fire towards them!
"SUPPORTS AND DEFENDER! Do your thing!" Defenders lined up with their shields and support used their support barriers which created a unity barrier protecting most of them!
*BAAAAAAAAAM!* The flame wave hit the unity barrier but it broke and only a few defenders survived the attack! Of course, no one's dead but they backed off as soon as they used up Lili's passive!
Their support spells are weak. It's because some of the support has a different type of monster souls instead of a light attribute, bad choice for a support role. Even the defenders have high def but from the looks of it, they use heavy weapons which reduced their defensive capabilities a lot. Most of them didn't focus on one role making their stats messed up. There aren't enough archers to make a solid attack from afar either. This is what happens when you chose what you want instead of what you're supposed to do.
"Hmmmm?!" Akko got surprised! There are a lot of assassins showed up near her! She sensed their presence late! They were able to get near her!
*SLASH* Random attacks were coming towards her and she was surrounded! This is not good for her!
"FIRE BOOSTER!" She flew up! Those assassins can't attack her in that height! They threw long range attacks using some of their monster soul abilities but she's just too high enough.
"ARCHERS AND SPELLCASTERS! GIVE IT ALL YOU'VE GOT!" The one that organized them signaled to use their best spells and range attack against her!
*BZZZZZT! SWOOOOSH! BURRRRRRRN!* Different kinds of spells once again flew towards her but this time; it's even stronger because of their monster souls!
"VOLCANIC ERUPTION!" Akko used a spell! But not to collide with their spells!
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!* Massive flame came out below the players! And most of them were incapacitated! Holy crap! They were caught off guard by her attack from below them! Their attacks didn't reach her because they got hit first and lost control of their attacks!...
Then Miss Akko landed from above... She seems to use all of her mana and I think that this is the end of the test.
"WOOOOAH! That was fun! So how many of them passed? Hmmmm?" She said wiping her sweat on her forehead. As they looked at the remaining players, only a few of them are left. Most of them ran away for their lives after that last explosion.
"Hmmmm, some of them didn't participate though?" Miss Akko asked.
"It's alright, the rule was to survive from your attacks right? So not engaging in combat is also a way to survive the fight." Scythus replied.
"Elou, it's your turn." Are they going to fight Elou next?!
"Hey guys, I'm Elou and I'm a Ranger. Anyway, there are hmmmm a couple of boys and girls who passed the test. Don't worry. I won't be fighting you this time. You are all welcome to be part of the guild if you want to join us of course." So they are all now new recruits huh. Most of them are exhausted and are on the verge of death. Some of the supports are also trying to heal others.
"Ok so let's go back to our guild hall first to rest."
