The headmistress of the Westhaven estate woke up in a daze after fainting from her injuries. She clutched her teeth in anger as she remembered the dead waste little fifth sitting there in her children's seats in a smug fashion. She wanted to kill her and red-headed runt.

"Headmistress, please calm you're angry. The doctor said you must not become irritated in your condition unless you want your wounds to worsen." One of her trusted maids tired to coxed her.

Her mistress shot an angry glare towards her direction. It startled her greatly as she feared her master might be going through her tantrums. The maid didn't utter another word and lowered her head in complete obedience. The maid trembled in fear as she hoped that her master didn't punish her for doing what she must do. The headmistress in a fit of rage picked up a valuable decorative plate that adorned the room and threw it at the wall that was three feet away from the frightened maid.

"How dare you dodge! Are you mocking me!?"

The maid looked shocked and frightened beyond belief. How could she even dodge if her master misses by more then a foot? The maid fell to her knees and started to grovel.

"Have mercy!"

"Take her to receive her punishment." An elderly maid stepped out and said. She stayed by the headmistress for a very long time, even when she was a lowly concubine. The maid was dragged out while the headmistress was still feeling frustrated after her humiliation within her own estate. Of course, she blames Nisha and Ana for making her look bad in front of the experts.

"When will my children return to the estate?" she demanded.

The elderly maid smiled warmly towards her master before speaking.

"The young miss has just returned and the young master sent word that he's waiting for a friend from the academy."

The headmistress smiled after she heard the news. The anger she felt finally subsided as she laid back against her pillow to relax. The remaining maids finally relaxed too knowing that they wouldn't be a random target for the head mistress's tantrums.

"All is good then," the headmistress began. "Fiona and Winston are among the top talents in their generation. How could waste of a child be better than them?"

"I also agree to the mistress. The only reason that the fifth mistress was able to attract the wandering expert was only due to pity and the young heirs was absent from the estate."

The headmistress nodded her head in agreement. She thought that as long the experts see her children display their talents they will soon be accepted underneath the great expert, and Nisha would be tossed out. When that happens she'll make sure to drug the girl with a heavy dose of aphrodisiac and break her limbs to be toyed with all the men in the estate. Even the dogs will have turns to look forward too. She was happy with her thoughts of revenge and planned to make preparations for it.

"I stayed here too long, bring out my best to impress our important guests."

The elderly maid bowed in acceptance and left with a few others to bring out her trucks of cloths. The trucks looked richly made and the clothes within it also of equal value and more. The maids opened the heavy doors of the trucks to showcase them to their master. The headmistress peered at the beautiful clothes that she collected over the years that can match any noble lady's closet in the capital. Before she could enjoy the thrill of picking out her clothes, she let a shrill cry like no other. The maids were alarmed by the sudden change of mood of their master until they too looked within the trucks. The clothes were all placed there as it should, but each article was ripped to shreds.

Someone even went as far to pluck the jewelry and beads from her dressed and overcoats. The collection of veils she had also was swiped. The maids were left shocked and their jaws hanging open. The headmistress felt eyes turned strung, but couldn't manage to cry. All she could do was to stare blankly at her ruined clothes and faint in angry that she couldn't vent out. The maids saw in horror their master fainting once again as blood sprayed from her mouth. The maids were left scrambling to get the doctor once again and to try their best to wake up their master.

It didn't take long for the food to be finally carted to the dining hall where Nisha and company were currently at. The smells from different foods filled the hall causing Ana to swallow her saliva in hunger. Anybody could tell just how Ana ogled the food being plated that she was never accustomed to grand meals that were fit for someone of her title. Even the servants didn't have such exaggerated expressions on their faces. Nisha soothed Ana's hair once again calming her down in the process.

"Behave well, we are cultured and well-bred ladies." Nisha reminded her younger sister.

Ana pouted and straighten her back to show her honored bearing. Nisha laughed at her sister's silly display. She gently placed her hands on her sister's shoulders and guided how a lady should sit and how to be always calm.

"As ladies, our backs should always be straight and shoulders relaxed to show how proper we are. And our feelings must never be fully displayed on our faces."

"Why?" Ana asked puzzled.

"The moment we let our emotions run wild that's when we lost and the enemy has won. As ladies, we represent the symbol of strength and shelter. We are designed to endure and become stronger, and we provide comfort for those in need, thus we are the shelter."

Ana looked at her sister questionably. She didn't recall hearing that before. Eve a child at her age knew a woman's place in the world. A woman's worth was to bear sons and to bring blessings to the husband. But what her sister said sounded something of a man's role, but not at the same time. Nisha just merely smiled at her sister, she knew the world that she lives in now what she experienced amongst the mortals a long time ago on Earth. But now she decided to slow introduce modern thinking to her sister in hopes it would make her stronger.

"Young master, Winston Vaan Westhaven, and guest, young master….T-temple." The maid standing near the door declared with hesitation near the end. It wasn't due to disrespect, but to the fact that the young master's friend only was introduced as Temple with no family name attached to it.

Nisha didn't turn her head and Ana mimicked her after their little talk. The monster maids also followed suit and waited for the new arrivals to show themselves. Ana and the monster maids wondered how Nisha would handle them and the maids of the dining hall only hoped not to get caught in the crossfire.

A young handsome man walked proudly in with his black hair slicked back and cut short. His body was fit and was well-dressed with green and white silk garb. He was dressed very richly and had the air of a peacock that was merely stunting his weight. Winston came in the dining hall with no attendees following him but his guest, Temple, and attendee came right in after. Even though Nisha didn't turn her head to look at them, but with her vampiric vision, she could see the new guests that caused even her to linger on them more than usual.

Handsome couldn't even describe Temple. His devilish looks could not be found among the gene pool of mortals, but a creature of the night that was designed to lure his prey just by his looks alone. His hair was dark as ink and long that contrasted his fair skin, his muted gray clothes enhanced his godly features. It was spotless and made Winston look like a common farmer when they stood together. His eyes are like sharp emerald gems that felt like shards of glass embedded anybody's heart that looked at him too long. Nisha found him to be dangerous and made a mental note to steer her sister away from him. Temple's attendee was also very handsome but was lacking compared to his master. He was tanned and wore all black, even his hair and eyes match his attire. He looked like the perfect shadow for Temple.

"Welcome my friends to my humble home!" Winston declared.
