"Alice, you know your mom is just stating facts right? You have to work hard to earn good money these days. You don't just place your money on someone else's bank account and expect it to grow." Alice's dad followed up.
"Mom, we don't have to chip in money. On the contrary, they'll be giving out salary."
"Salary? So you're not starting a gaming studio, you're working for one. Don't play me with your words. Why would you waste your diploma and work on for a gaming studio? Ai ai ai... Alice, you're really making my head hurt."
"Mom... I am not gonna be an employee. The effort and time would be part of the investment and our friend will be fronting the bills for now... Come on mom... Even Bella was allowed by her parents..."

Alice's dad was a cable installer from a telco here that got wiped out by the government as a warning for those businesses that are abusing their rates. Being a good friend of Alice, Isabella asked her dad to help Alice's dad get a new job at their company. Long story short, Alice's parents were eternally grateful towards Isabella and her family.

"Alice... How could you openly show that you like William? You've only met him for two days. You're making it seem like you're an easy catch."
