Grandmother Santos was brought into the ICU part of the Hospital. They need to watch over her for 48 hours to make sure she does not have a heart attack. All kind of examination elements were attached to Grandmother Santos, making sure that all her vital signs were being observed.
Andrea was not permitted inside the ICU. However, a chamber was provided for her so she could wait pleasantly.
While Andrea was waiting for the result of Grandmother Santos examination, she checked her phone to see if Alexa was trying to get in touch with her. She was surprised that she doesn't have, not even one call or message.
'That's odd!' She thought.
Once they got Grandmother Santos settled, Andrea tried to call Alexa, but she was not able to get connected. She tried several times more, but still no success. Finally, she gave up and sent a text message instead. To her surprise, it also did not go through. Now, she started to worry not only for her Grandmother but also for Alexa, but there's nothing she could do but wait.
Inside the ICU, Grandmother Santos was wide awake with so many things going through her head. She couldn't believe that the same person that had bailed her out of her debts with the loan shark back then would be the new First Lady of the United States Of America.
A compelling person, second from the President. What is she going to do now? It's like it was only yesterday...

Mrs. Dianne Jones Grant arrived in New York City with her bodyguard to meet with someone, and that person was none other than Nanny Adelaida Santos, a compulsive gambler who owes a tremendous amount of money from a local loan shark.

After finding out, Dianne was enraged and was ready to murder someone. She needed to make sure to get rid of the other woman in her husband's life. She hired an investigator and found out about Nanny Santos who been Chrissy's nanny since she was born and a person that could help her with her plan.
Nanny Santos was a compulsive gambler, and once they arrived in New York City, she readily found underground gaming and lost a lot of money. She had to resort into borrowing money from a loan shark with a very high-interest rate. Regrettably, she never won and also not make enough money to be able to pay back what she owes along with the high interest.
In turn, the loan shark was chasing nanny Santos for none payment of the principal and interest of her loan. In which had accumulated over time, and the amount had become enormous.
She wanted to bail out and go back to the Philippines, but afraid that they might come after her charge, 'Chrissy Chen-Wen' Alexa's mother.
Consequently, she had no option but, to reveal the truth to Chrissy to ask for help. Nonetheless, due to Chrissy being pregnant, she has not been working for a while, and the only money she has was from the support Sean Grant was giving her monthly. Which was only sufficient for their daily necessities; she was not able to help Nanny Santos with her dilemma.

Thus she was able to bribe nanny Santos to help and accept her offer to pay off the debt in return of helping her get rid of the other woman in her husband's life. Hence, Nanny Santos had done an evil thing and bite the hand that had been feeding her all this time.

Chrissy, wherever you may be, please! look after your daughter, for there's nothing else I could do to protect her from that evil woman.' Grandmother thought as she lays there in the ICU all alone with only the sound of the machines beeping...

Back in the Oval Office, Daniel laid out to his father all the information he gathered in such a short time. President Grant took it and read it intensely, his eyebrow almost touching each other and face turning red by the minute.
"So! This is the reason why she almost had a heart attack when she saw your mother? She recognized her from before and was afraid of what your mother could do to her. Hahaha! What a shame, I was ready to set them up to stay here for good to keep Alexa company. But now, with this... There's no way that I would let them come near her ever again."
President Grant called for his assistant who's always standing by outside the door. As soon as the assistant came in, he gave his order to prepare to send the Grandmother and Granddaughter back to the Philippines after making sure that the Grandmother is alright to travel.
"Yes, Sir! Mr. President!" The assistant left as soon as he received his order to take care of the matter.
"Make sure your sister does not find out anything about this. I know it will break her heart for sure. Make up some story to tell her, then prepare her to move-in with Ms. Garcia asap so she could start her training for whatever it is that she wanted to do for her future.
That's all for now, and you may go!" He then turned and went to behind his deck and slump down to his chair, suddenly looking all tired.
Daniel understands his father's feeling at the moment very clearly, for he feels the same way. He got up and was ready to leave, but before he walked out of the Oval Office, he turned around to speak and say something.
"Father, If it's any consolation, at least we now have Alexa with us, and she did grow up pretty well. Don't you think so?" Then he walked out the door without waiting for his father's reply.
