As Lu AnLing and company were headed to Lu Xia's place, Lu Shuya had already been at the hospital for a while, with her father and Lu Yuxi. They were talking with Zhao Qin but then suddenly, something caught the mans' eyes.
It was Qiao Lan and Rong Yue Wan.
Seeing Qiao Lan and Rong Yue Wan run past his door. Zhao Qin completely ignored Lu Shuya and Xu Shen's words and immediately excused himself.
Zhao Qin followed the two women until he saw them suddenly stop in front of Doctor Su. Recognizing Rong Yue Wang, Doctor Su hugged the girl.
Seeing this, Zhao Qin was a bit alarmed, so he hid in the corner for a second as he watched Doctor Su speak with Rong Yue Wan. The man waited patiently until she was done and then, he 'accidentally' on purpose bumped into his colleague.
"I'm so sorry!" Zhao Qin said faking sincerity.
Hearing this, Doctor Su smiled, "No I'm sorry... I wasn't watching where I was going."
Zhao Qin smiled.
"No, no... it's my fault. I was looking for someone. Her name is Qiao Lan..." After saying this, Zhao Qin described her slightly to Doctor Su who took in every little bit of information. "... she came to the hospital and I was worried something bad had happened to her... did you see her?"
Doctor Su nodded vigorously.
"Yes, I know her as well. She's a friend of a friend. But that's not important... When it comes down to the reason why she came to the hospital, don't worry, it isn't bad. In fact, it's a happy occasion." Doctor Su said sweetly. "Actually, her grandfather has woken up from his coma!"
Hearing this, Zhao Qin pretended to be glad. He even smiled from ear to ear but truly he wasn't happy at all...
Meanwhile, Lu Shuya had been alone for a small while. Since Lu Yuxi was getting a bit restless, Xu Shen thought it a good idea to bring her out for a walk. At first, Lu Shuya wanted to go with them but she knew that it would be rude if no one was in the room if Zhao Qin came back.
Waiting, Lu Shuya didn't know what to do so she examined the room. It was white and clean. With no paper unorganized and nothing out of place. Standing up, Lu Shuya walked around the small office and looked at the degrees and photographs which hung on the man's wall. As she did this, there was a sudden knock at the door.
Turning around as if she had been caught red handed, Lu Shuya held her breath but when she heard the voice of the person who had knocked, Lu Shuya had breathed a sigh of relief.
"Hello? Doctor Zhao?" Kang Liang said but when he suddenly saw Lu Shuya, he unconsciously smirked. He didn't expect to see Lu Shuya there but for him, it was a pleasant surprise.
"Lu Shuya?" Kang Liang said with a voice full of questioning.
Furrowing her eyebrows, Lu Shuya said, "Who else did you think I was?"
She was a bit confused due to how much questioning had been in his voice when he had said her name. Did he not remember her? It had only been a couple of days?!? The thought of that hurt her feelings slightly but she pushed the thought out of her mind and replaced it by annoyance that was easily made visible by her frown.
"I could barely recognize you without the panda eyes." Kang Liang laughed.
Hearing this, Lu Shuya frowned harder.
"What are you even doing here? I know that you're mentally a child but your body needs the care of a normal doctor." Lu Shuya said arrogantly before she cracked a small smirk and approached Kang Liang slightly. "Or do you have a secret love child?"
Hearing this, Kang Liang's face twisted.
"I haven't slept with many people and even if I did. I. always use protection. No exceptions." Kang Liang said seriously before he smirked. "But you'll figure that out sooner or later..."
"No. I never will." Lu Shuya said dryly.
Thought despite her continuous rejection, Kang Liang wasn't backing down.
"You say that now, but you won't be able to reject my charms forever. I think that the fates are bringing us together," Kang Liang said with charm.
Hearing this Lu Shuya couldn't help but roll her eyes and accidentally cracked a smiled.
Lu Shuya: "Charm? What charm? and fate? You're more childish than I thought."
"Childish, yes, but also charming enough to make you smile." Kang Liang boasted as he approached her.

Actually, Xu Shen had been there for a small while. He had witnessed Lu Shuya smile, frown and retort to the man he did not know. His daughter had shown faces that he had never seen her show ever before. After seeing how close Lu Shuya and Kang Liang were from afar, Xu Shen couldn't help but ask, "is this your boyfriend?"
Hearing this, Lu Shuya looked at her father with horror and then she shook her head vigorously and said, "Hell no!"
Xu Shen frowned at his daughter.
Looking at Lu Yuxi, Lu Shuya cleared her throat. "I meant, he isn't my boyfriend. I don't even think we could even call ourselves friends. He's just a boy..."

Examining Kang Liang well, Xu Shen cocked his head. Something was familiar about him.
