Year 4014 Mist Kingdom Central Market

She wonders how they ended up looking for a group of lost children. However, when Lyn saw how frantic that Mother looked. She knew she couldn't just leave the situation alone. It didn't take them long to find the kids.

"He's really fantastic. Probably the best," Lyn beamed. The person she was boasting about was her eldest brother. Though he did not express a keen interest in it. Her eldest brother was very good at playing a musical instrument.

"Geez do you not have any pride or what?" Rhys said.

At that comment, Lyn blinks, "Huh?"

"Nothing." he paused. "Is that guy that fantastic?"

"Yes," Lyn said with a smile. "If only I can play as well as him it would be great." While her music playing is only mediocre at best, she liked to play.

Her eldest brother playing differs completely from hers. However, his sound could easily enter her heart; it could easily stir it. It's funny since her eldest brother is so cold-hearted.

"Say comparing me to that guy who's better?" Rhys suddenly asked.

At that comment, Lyn looks down. "Well, I have never heard you play. How am I supposed to answer this question of yours?"

When they met each other's eyes, it was only then when they realized that the children were gone. "geh---"

Yet they didn't have to panic for long; she sighs a breath of relief seeing the kids by the balloons. Thank goodness.

"These brats run of far too much."

Lyn chuckled, 'He must have been worried too.' Rhys is a very awkward person, at least when it comes to expressing his feelings.

"Look big sister they gave us free balloons."

Lyn bends down and pats their heads. "Why don't you play an instrument here? That will easily get some attention, so others will notice you," Rhys suddenly suggested.

What is he saying? "What why me?" Lyn said. He bent down And similarly patted the children.

"Didn't you come here to practice? That's killing two birds with one stone. Although the standard isn't there, I guess it's alright." Though it's true, she brought her instrument with her; she didn't think she would have time for it.

That fellow....he is pushing his luck. "Then why don't you do it? Aren't you pretty confident with your skills?"

Forget it. He will probably say no. "Okay."

He extends his hand out, "Lend me your instrument. Hurry up. Is he serious? A smile was plastered on his face. "You wanted to hear my music, don't you?"

Wait, wait? What seriously?

"Sorry I don't mean it that way."

Even if...he is rude and cruel. He can pull those kinds of expressions too, huh? Lyn hands it over to him.

'I'm very good.' What the..how can he say such things so easily? Can he really play? Her gaze landed on him, his stance and posture is right though, it's almost nostalgic in a way. Uncommonly confident and also rude to people, she wondered what kind of music such a person would bring. Her eyes went wide once he started playing...this...sound is…

After they dropped the kids off. Lyn decided that since Rhys showed her something nice, she would do the same too. She quickly looked around and found a hilltop.

"I could casually hear your melody

I wonder why I'm always, always remembering it?

When I hum to myself, thinking about you

Inside of my scraped heart, I feel satisfied

This unscientific wonderful feeling must be magic

Let's walk on, just like this

With our voices in unison, let's imagine tomorrow

Even though I can't see it, I'm not afraid

When it comes to something valuable, don't hide it, carry it along with you

If you love it, then it will always shine

Your melody always sounds out

Circulating through my body, where it feels like I'm going to lose

The tips of my toes are firmly on my pedals, going up the hill road

When I look up, I'm gradually getting closer and closer to the sky.." Lyn sang.

Lyn had little confidence in many things. But, she's always liked to sing. If people could hear her voice from thousands of miles away, how great would that be? She isn't strong, or beautiful - nor does she have skills. But, this is the one thing she has confidence in.

"T—thank you for the outfit," the words came out more as stammering.

The sun had already set, replacing the skies with orange. They both carried bags in their hands or at least that should have been the case. Yet Rhys had casually taken it from her without saying a word. She realized that she still hadn't thanked him for the outfit and found herself only just doing so.

"It must have been expensive. I'll pay you back!"

That's right, even if it is from stores by the beach. Anyone can tell from a distance that it's from a designer label. Rhys reached over and brushed his hands against her lips, ". ...how long are you going to say that? I thought it fitted you, that's why I bought it. So don't mind it." As those words left his lips, Lyn felt her heart skip a beat.

Ah, here it is again. How annoying, just because she isn't used to it. Being told stuff like that directly, that is. Is it because of his words?

Or is it because it's Rhys?

The black-haired girl eyed him; he really is different. Lyn thought so before, but these days it is more evident than before. Maybe something has changed between them? But, even if that were the case, the person she ought to stand by is Kazuya.

Clearly, Rhys noticed her looking, "What's up?"

His music how to put it...Just like his personality full of confidence...very showy. As if it's speaking out and saying listen to my music. Someone who can attract people's attention with their music, completely different from her brother. While brother gains people's attention. His music is too beautiful for anyone to come close. Something dangerous and yet mesmerizing.

Rhys is different; he can attract people even with such a gorgeous sound. She was mesmerized. "Hmm. There are plenty of amazing people in this world its getting interesting," Lyn commented.

"You're just like a kid."

She usually would sulk whenever he said such words. But this time around was different, "Hmm did you say something," Lyn said pretending not to hear.

"Nothing."

She knew before, how amazing he was. But, this surprised even her. Not just that she had fun spending time with him. "Anyway, perhaps you always say such things that's why your skills remain weak?"

"What a bully," Lyn sighed. "I do my best." While she knew she couldn't match her sisters playing. Lyn liked her style.

"But I take back on what I said earlier on I wish I hadn't heard you playing, it was very good," Rhys lips curve to a smile.

It was a faint smile, but it looked more genuine than his usual one.

"Today I had a lot of fun," Rhys said.

At that, she automatically replies in a somewhat flustered manner. " Me too!"

"However, this will have to be the last time. That we spend time with each other like this, today we didn't get caught but who knows when people will notice."

Ah...that's right.

Rhys still have to consider those factors even if she is happy. " Well, since the beginning you've always been very clumsy. But you've worked hard and become a great person that everyone acknowledges. So from now on if you ever do need any advice you can go to Kazuya. I'm sure now you two can face each other properly without turning away."

So that's it, he- his kindness from the very start was only limited to something like this. Although Lyn knew it, somehow it hurts hearing this. Lyn puts on a fake smile, " Yes, that's true. But I still have a long way to go; I'm not in the same place as Kazuya yet that's why we still can't talk about then."

She and Kazuya may be alike. But, many things are stopping them from truly understanding each other. Right now, the person she is closest to is Rhys and not Kazuya. The one who understands her more. But, Rhys is —pushing her away. Despite his words and his actions. He's backing away. Lyn didn't understand the extent of their friendship before, but now he does.

"Hmm is that so? I don't know what Kazuya is thinking. But if it's advice concerning the stubborn fool, you need. You're still welcome to go to me. I'll help you."

That's right; he doesn't realize it since he's always been this kind of person.

"It's time to put on our disguises."

Rhys doesn't necessarily have to wear a disguise. But he must be doing it for her sake.

"Ah, yes."

Lyn places her hat on as Rhys puts up his hood. She bends down to look at the ground, that's right. This is already something that's not new to her. Just when she realizes something important and finally finds the courage to say it. Something will always go wrong without fail and break that courage. For now, it seems like she will have to bury it in her heart.
