Dro closed the menu then looked at the experience bar.

<10/120 XP>

A smirk appeared on his face. "One more Vampire Bat and I will be able to level from turning in the quest," he thought.

He looked around and locked his eyes on the Vampire Bat which was only 15 yards away from him.

<Vampire Bat>

<HP: 50/50>

He walked to it and once he was in the five-yard range of the monster – used a skill.

<Drain>

<-2.5, Vampire Bat>

<+36, Dro>

The Vampire Bat screeched and it rushed at Dro. He narrowed his eyes and thought, "Let's see if I can use the skill, I created."

"Decimating Slash!" As this thought finished, the required movements appeared in his head but even before the movements could finish flashing through his head, he already completed the motion ahead of it.

<Decimating Slash>

<-25, Vampire Bat>

<Vampire Bat>

<HP: 22.5/50>

The Vampire Bat screeched and with its leg claws struck down but Dro easily dodged– just by moving back.

Dro who already fought more than 10 Vampire Bats had already become used to its simple attack; he already knew how to dodge this attack unscathed.

After dodging the attack successfully, he smirked and swung his axe at his enemy. The axe descended and collided with the Vampire Bat's body and even though, he used the same attack motion as when he would be using Decimating Slash skill, the skill didn't activate. Only the simple basic attack was delivered.

<-3, Vampire Bat>

<Vampire Bat>

<HP: 19.5/50>

"So Decimating Slash didn't activate… must be because it's on cooldown…" he thought then extended his hand and used a skill that just came off cooldown.

<Drain>

<-2.5, Vampire Bat>

<+36, Dro>

<Vampire Bat>

<HP: 17/50>

The bat screeched in pain and attacked, he dodged then countered.

<-5, Vampire Bat>

The Vampire Bat screeched and attacked again while Dro dodged and then delivered another attack.

<-3, Vampire Bat>

After these two attacks, another five seconds passed and Drain once again came off cooldown. He extended his hand used it immediately.

<Drain>

<-2.5, Vampire Bat>

<+36, Dro>

<Vampire Bat>

<HP: 6.5/50>

The same process repeated for two more attacks and the bat was no hanging on the inch of its health.

<-3, Vampire Bat>

<-3, Vampire Bat>

With these two attacks finished, five seconds have passed, Dro extended his hand and used a skill.

<Drain>

<-2.5, Vampire Bat>

<+36, Dro>

<Vampire Bat, Slain>

<+10 XP>

The battle finished after 21 seconds. In one use of Decimating Slash, four uses of Drain and five swings of his axe. After the battle finished, he looked down at the corpse. "I should head back to the village and get my Level 2," he thought with a smile.

He quickly made his way back to the village and in no time at all, he found the quest giver. He came up to him and Vampire man immediately kneeled down onto the ground, "Your Excellency!"

"I have your pelts!" Dro stated.

"Thank you, your excellency!"

<Quest Completed>

<Rewards>

<+100 XP>

<Level Up>

<Level 2>

<You have been awarded 15 attribute points>

<You have 15 Unspent Attribute Points>

After turning in the quest, another quest marker appeared above the quest giver's head. "Is there something more?" Dro asked.

"Your Excellency, I don't dare to ask more of you…"

Dro furrowed his eyebrows, "Just say it." He was slightly annoyed, that he had to persuade the quest giver to give him the quest.

"Can I bother your Excellency, to gather 6 corrupted Vampire Bat pelts?"

<Quest Received>

<Collect 6 Corrupted Vampire Bat Pelts>

<Rewards>

<+150 XP>

<Accept, Decline>

Dro nodded, "I will do it." He thought, "The more quests the better for me."

"Thank you, Your Excellency!"

<Quest Accepted>

Dro walked away from the quest giver and then he opened the meny and from there the character window.

<Name: Dro, Race: Vampire, Class: Trueblood, Level: 2, Title: Progenitor>

<Health: 510/510>

<Strength: 13 +, Dexterity: 7 +, Intellect: 1 +, Vitality: 12 +. Spirit: 1 +, Luck: 2 +, Armour: 2>

<Unspent Attribute Points 15>

<Skills>

<…>

He looked over his stats and then he attributed them to the same attributes just like before. He added 8 points into Strength, 5 points into Vitality and the last 2 points into Dexterity.

<Name: Dro, Race: Vampire, Class: Trueblood, Level: 2, Title: Progenitor>

<Health: 660/660>

<Strength: 21, Dexterity: 9, Intellect: 1, Vitality: 17. Spirit: 1, Luck: 2, Armour: 2>

<Skills>

<…>

Dro looked over his updated stats and nodded his head in satisfaction, he closed the window and unsheathed his axe. He looked at it in thought, "I can't use Blood Slash skill… If I want to use it, I need either a spear or a sword but to use Decimating Slash I need a two-handed sword or a two-handed axe… If I want to use them both I need to find a two-handed sword. Now is there even a weapon vendor in this small town."

"These things should be listed on the minimap and the map, let's see," he thought.

He first looked at the minimap and to his pleasant surprise, apart from the quest arrows which pointed to three different quests, there were icons as well but there were only two icons. Since Dro knew that the minimap was interactive, he clicked on one of those two icons, <Identifier>, he shook his head and thought, "Not this one!" He then tapped on the last remaining icon, <Weapon Vendor>.

"This is it!" he mumbled before smiling.

He made his way to the location of this icon and he found himself in front of a small shop. Entering inside, he saw many weapons on the walls but even though the walls had many weapons on them, there was nothing in the middle of the room, only at the end of the room stood a counter and behind it a middle-aged man. The man had a medium length black beard, red eyes, a wrinkly face and a bald head. He was dressed in decent clothes but had no cloak, it was clear that the man was of a higher status than the people outside of this shop but of a lower status than the Counts.

Dro walked through the room and stopped once he came to the counter. He looked at the man and his name was clearly visible to him.

<Vendor, Joshua>

Joshua bowed his head, "Your Excellency! What do I owe the pleasure?"

"I am looking for a weapon, do you have anything?"

"I am humbled, that your Excellency came to my shop to look for a weapon, please look at what I have in stock."

A window with a list of items appeared before Dro. When Dro's eyes landed on the items and the prices, he became dumbfounded.
