It looked at me fully composed and hurled another fireball at me.
It may have been just like throwing a rolled up ball of paper to the oni, but to me it looked as if it had thrown a small car engulfed in flames at me. I couldn’t let myself get hit by that.
I kept circling around him, shooting more armor-piercing bullets at its ankles while avoiding his continuous barrage of fireball attacks.

After reloading a second time and focusing all of my armor-piercing bullets on a specific point of its legs, I opened my mouth, feeling a flavor I hadn’t tasted in a long time.

The oni seemed to enjoy itself as it kept making fun of me.

The oni and its companions seemed utterly confused after watching what seemed to be me commiting suicide. Even Aoi and Kanon seemed to get their eyes all muddy.
“Sorry, guys. I have no time to explain now. But this is how I’ll win this.”
I muttered that while confirming that my own HP gauge was in the red zone.
And then–
“You better be ready, you bastard! This is my revenge!”
Both my eyes and an intense aura began bursting into red flames as I looked at the oni straight in the eye.
