The intelligence department sent out multiple people to watch out for indications of the Demon Sect attacking. Chu gave each of the members going out a special way to communicate with the core members of the intelligence department in case trouble arose.

Outside of the walls of the city was the farming land of the city. It was quite a big area, fully surrounded the city. Outside of the front gate of the city was large flames.
On top of the walls, several guards started to shout commands.
"Fire! The farmland is on fire!"
The guards were very worried that the fire was going to spread. When the citizens inside the citizens heard about the fires they all got buckets. Multiple groups of men ran down to the river to collect water.
Running over to the fire to put it out. When the first group got to the fire they all stood shocked. In front of them were several thousand mutated humans with black skin staring at them.
All of the mutated humans had weapons in their hands. Most of them were holding a shield and a sword. When the mutated humans saw the group of men, they attacked.
Killing the first group, leaving no survivors. The second group of men ran up and received the same treatment. Only this time the third group saw the massacre from afar.
The message that the city was under attack raised alarm to the whole city. Everyone that could fight got their weapons and moved to the wall. Luckily, one of the members from White Roses was in the town when the alarm was raised.
Using the special item that Chu gave him, he contacted Dou Si.
"Sir, I have an urgent report!"
Dou Si was sleeping when he got the call. Dou Si quickly got up and replied to the message.
"Yes, What is it?"
"Sir, Crowside is under attack from the Demon Sect!"
"You said under attack?"
"Yes, Sir!"
"Got it, stay there and report any information you can!"
"Yes, Sir!"
Dou Si ran out of his room and rushed to Zuhn to tell him the information. Zuhn was already up when Dou Si got to his room. Two personal guards stood outside of Zuhn's house.
When they saw Dou Si's panicked face they let him right inside. Dou Si ran up to Zuhn and bowed before speaking.
"Master, Crowside is under attack from the Demon Sect."
Zuhn's face went from worried to calm.
"Well, we weren't going to be safe forever. Go contact Na Yu and tell her to send out two hundred or so members to Crowside."
Dou Si nodded and rushed off to Na Yu's house. When Dou Si told her the information she quickly got up and went to the barracks of the military. Raising the alarm and calling all of the soldiers outside.
She told every one of the situation and asked for voluntary that wanted to go out and fight. Almost everyone raised their hands and volunteered to go fight the Demon Sect.
Na Yu decided to take a little over 250 members to go fight the Demon Sect. They were already prepared to fight the Demon Sect, they had all the supplies ready.
In under an hour, Na Yu was out with her army heading to Crowside. While on the way there, Na Yu sent 25 people forwards to scout out the battle.
When the scouts got to the city they were struck with fear at the sight. The whole city was on fire, the smell of burning flesh could be smelt from miles away from the town.
The scouts quickly turned around to report the information to Na Yu. After hearing the information she told her men to be ready to fight, ordering them to run at full speed to the city.
Running at full speed the army made it to the city in five minutes. When they got to the city all they could see was a sea of flames. All of the buildings were on fire, as well as many bodies on the ground.
One of the members called out some people were standing outside of the town with weapons. When Na Yu looked at the people she smiled at the sight.
"Men, The enemy had black skin! They are standing outside of the west entrance! Attack!"
When the men heard the order to attack, they all rushed forwards. Once they were around 100 meters away from the targets they split up into groups.
Before the mutated humans could react they were slaughtered by Na Yu's men. Red blood didn't come from the mutated humans, but instead black blood.
The rushing men didn't stop at the west gate and scaled the wall. Once on top, they looked down to see the numbers of the enemy. Inside was thousands of mutated humans.
One of the men shouted, "Let's get these demons!"
"Kill every last one of them!"
Everyone that was once on the wall was now rushing towards the demons below. When the demons noticed the rushing humans they started to attack.
Demons also had bows with them, sending countless arrows flying towards the members of White Roses. Most of the members of White Roses were Middle Gold rank, making them very powerful.
The demons in front of them didn't really have a cultivation rank or did anyone know how powerful they truly were. When the men attacked, most of the demons were killed by simple sword slashes.
When the men saw how easy it was to kill the demons, their killing speeds increased. Na Yu was watching from on top of the wall with the other archers. Sending down multiple volleys of arrows on top of the demons. Each of the arrows that hit, killed the demons instantly.
It only took twenty minutes to kill a good majority of the demons in the city. Now there were only around 1000 demons left, only these demons were different from the ones they were fighting originally.
These demons had different colored skin, they had a gray skin. Also, these demons had better weapons and armor on. They also had skills with them, they weren't just slashing their weapons.
This caused most of the people from White Roses to be more caution when fighting the demons. The killing speed of the attack went down. The demons could still be killed, but it took more powerful attacks to take them down.
Finally, all of the demons were killed. When Na Yu and her unit cleared the whole town, they thought it was over. But one of the scouts reported that there was a small group of demons outside in the farmland.
When Na Yu got on top of the wall to see out in the farmland, she saw weird demons. The demons she saw had purplish black colored demons far out.
There weren't too many of the demons, around five in total. But, the auras coming off the demons had the same of early gold staged cultivators.
When Na Yu sent an arrow at the group, it was easily blocked by the demons. The demons noticed Na Yu but didn't push forwards like the demons before.
They simply retreated farther back into the farmland. When Na Yu sent out a couple of scouts to look where the demons went, they were killed in seconds of reaching the farmland.
The scouts that Na Yu sent out were all Silver 9's. Quite powerful, when Na Yu saw the five scouts get killed she personally jumped off the wall. Running at full speed, she ran at the demons.
The demons stopped running and turned around to look at Na Yu. When Na Yu saw this, she pulled out her bow and sent several arrows at the demons.
The first couple of arrows killed two demons. But the other three charged at her. They thought that she was only good with the bow. When the demons came close, Na Yu pulled out a small dagger.
When the dagger, Na Yu used a couple of skills killing all of the demons before they could even touch her. By the time the rest of the army arrived at the farmland, all of the demons were killed.
Na Yu contacted Dou Si to tell him the situation. When Dou Si heard that Na Yu killed a total of ten thousand demons and only lost five men he was relieved.
Dou Si quickly told the information to Zuhn. Zuhn told him to tell Na Yu to return back to the sect. Na Yu with a couple other men buried the five bodies of the scouts.
After burying the bodies, the whole army moved back to base. Crowside marked the first battle of the biggest war in history to date.
