It was around midnight Robin had been preparing all the stuff he needed for his escort mission he had bought all his kunai and weapons he needed and decided to start his training.
While he was training, he could sense something, but he just thought it was a small animal after all he didn't have any enemies in this village at least that's what Robin thought.
He continued on with his training, but he could hear something coming towards him, so he sidestepped to be sure, and when he looked down, he could see a kunai laying there.
'why the fuck I'm not supposed to have any enemies' (Robin)
While Robin thought who could possibly try to kill him and the reason behind it he looked up, and the only thing he could think was 'so is this the end of my life' what he saw was at least 20 kunai coming his way he knew he could dodge a few but avoiding all of them was something impossible.
Robin never felt this frustrated in both of his lives combined he started to love this life and world, but right now he knew he would die he had all types of emotions in him, but most of it was sadness
'i wanted to make a change in this world, yet I will die, and the only people that will remember me are my dad and my few friends.'
All types of memories flashed before his eyes happy, sad, and most importantly all kinds of dark memories and just as he was ready to accept his fate and die once more, he felt something.
He was hit by the kunai, but to his surprise, he didn't die Robin knew he couldn't be this lucky and opened his eyes and what he saw was something he would never forget all his vital organs were protected by something dark yes, he was coated in darkness.
It were just tiny specs of darkness just enough to let him keep his life Robin decided to rush inside his home as fast as possible while he was running he was hit with another kunai in his shoulder but nothing life-threatening.
Robin closed the door and could hear the kunai hitting the door even if Robin wasn't in a life-threatening condition he was still fading into the darkness what is called unconscious he just hoped that Kakashi would have woken up and will take him to a medical ninja.
While Robin was unconscious, all he saw was darkness he could make out a vague figure out of it something that looked like a deity and the only thing he heard was.
"I will see you when you enter here," and the vague figure smiled
Robin didn't know why but he felt comfortable around this figure he didn't know who it was or what it was but it felt familiar just like when he would stand in the darkness and feel it.
And then it all began to fade, and the darkness was replaced by light
Robin had woken up he was disorientated at first and didn't know where he was, but when he looked down he could see that he was lying in a hospital bed when he decided to look around the room he saw his dad sitting on the chair beside his bed with a kunai in his hand.
Robin saw his wounds and noticed that most of them have healed he started to speak.
"Dad" (Robin)
As soon as those words left his mouth Kakashi's eyes shot open and looked towards him
"Thank god you are alright" Kakashi disappeared as soon as he said that and hugged his son
"Can you tell me what happened" (Kakashi)

After being interrogated for 2 hours by his dad, he even got to meet that old guy the third and was also asked several questions well Robin himself had the most questions. 'Who would try to kill me? I'm just a kid? I don't have any enemies?.
After a while, Robin decided to stop pondering on it and just went on with his day.

Robin had been trying out everything to activate the element once again, but it didn't work.
After a while, Robin was thinking, and for no reason, the scene of the kunais appeared before his eyes.
Everything he felt at that time came back.
But this time there was a lot of despair in his feelings, and as soon as the despair hit him, he could feel the darkness coming towards him like it was trying to calm him down.
'So the way to activate it is to feel despair' this is what Robin concluded but that would mean that he would need to feel despair all the time this time he was thinking of giving up on this element for good. But he noticed that he could make the darkness appear again, and it was a bit stronger this time around. 'this element it is way too weird' (Robin)
"So he has felt despair and awakened the first stage of the element huh" Lord Darkness could be seen viewing Robin, and the only thing he thought was 'lets hope you will never have to awaken the other stages of this element,' and he left while feeling conflicted because this power was a blessing and a curse in one that's why he never blessed any people with his power before.
Authors note: alright to clarify a bit about the darkness element it isn't like the usual elements that you will learn while doing some leaf exercise or something. It's more like the Sharingan that needs certain things to happen for it to activate. (the reason Lord darkness awakened his was when everyone close to him was killed, and he started living in the darkness, and the darkness started to comfort him) this is also the reason why it felt like Robin was comforted by the darkness
Remeber this is only stage one of his power i don't want to make this story tragedy, but it also won't be a happy journey.
I also won't evolve his darkness too fast since it will play a more significant role further in the story!
