Goku then flew up a bit to get a better view and told Gohan to stay there as he would be there in a minute. Then after Raditz said he should say his goodbyes Goku got pissed and came back down and got in a fighting stance with Piccolo doing the same.
"Alright, let's do this!" Piccolo said.
Then after the duo stared at Raditz for a while they charge forward.
The fight began with Goku and Piccolo both trying to hit Raditz, but he easily just dodged all of their attacks. Then when they tried to attack him from behind he simply kicked both of them away with both his legs and started flying.
Goku and Piccolo then flew up to attack him but Raditz fired two energy beams down towards them, with then just barely dodging. Then Raditz managed to sneak up on Goku and kick him from behind.
Now both Goku and Piccolo were already tired, and Piccolo with one arm destroyed from the beam attack.
"Hehehehehehe, what's the matter down already, you could at least try to make this more interesting for me, you don't want me to get bored do you?" Raditz said, grinning.
"Ugh, huff... Piccolo huff... are you alright?" Goku asked, breathing heavily.
"Huff... don't... worry about me, I can still... manage with only o-one arm," Piccolo said holding his severed arm.
"Fuahahaha looks like your deaths are drawing closer and closer, huh!" Raditz said, laughing maniacally.
"Hey Goku, if you've got any new attacks you've been working on now might be a good time to use them," Piccolo said.
"Hehe, sorry can't say I do," Goku said.
"Hah, you slacker, while you've been relaxing with your family I've been working on a new attack," Piccolo said.
"Fools didn't I already tell you that any plan you come up with won't work on me. So whisper all you want, it's futile!" Raditz said.
"Huh, so you think this new attack of yours has enough power to do some damage, Piccolo?" Goku asked.
"Yes," Piccolo said.
"And you can do it with only one arm?"
"Yeah, that's no problem, the real problem is that it will take some time to charge up enough energy for it," Piccolo explained. "So you'll have to hold him off on your own for a while, but it's your decision."
"Alright, if you're sure it'll work, I'll hold him off," Goku agreed since it might be the only way.
"Well, the truth is that it's untested, I've never used it against an opponent," Piccolo said. "I was hoping on saving it to defeat you."
"I see, and now you're using it to help me instead, you must be pretty disappointed," Goku said.
"No, I'm not, since this will be a good test and if it works, then I'll be using it against you next," Piccolo said.

"You know that wasn't actually intended to be funny," Piccolo said.
Then Raditz thought, 'Hmm, what are they planning?' and Goku said, "I'll be sure to watch out the next time we meet, but for now wish me luck."
"Alright then, do your best, Goku," Piccolo said, and Goku charged at Raditz again.
Then Piccolo began charging his attack while Goku was basically getting beaten up.
Then when Goku got hit and flew back he flipped into the air and started charging a Kamehameha.
"Ka...Me..."
*Beep Beep* "What, his power level is skyrocketing, 1,300, 1,350?!" Raditz exclaimed.
"Ha..."
"He's able to concentrate his energy in one place?!" Raditz said.
"Me..."
*Beep Beep* "What his power level has gone up as well, it's almost 2,000?!" Raditz exclaimed again, looking at Piccolo.
Then suddenly, "HA!!!" Gou fired his Kamehameha at Raditz.
But instead of running away like he did in the original story, Raditz stood his ground and stuck his hand out towards the blast, like he did in the original.
After the cloud of dust disappeared Raditz stood there shaking a bit from the attack.
"Damn, he cancelled it out!" Goku exclaimed.
Then Raditz said, "Let me show you how it's done, Brother!" and threw his own Ki blast.
It hit Goku straight on and when he fell to the ground Raditz rushed over and was about to punch him when he suddenly remembered Piccolo.
"Hehe, let's see you block this one!" Said, Piccolo.
*Beep* "Damn, he's gathered all of his power in just his fingertips! What, a power level of 1880, I won't be able to block that!" Raditz exclaimed after checking his scouter.
"TAKE THIS, SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!!!" Piccolo yelled as he fired his attack.

After the dust had cleared and Piccolo saw Raditz still alive he said, "H-He dodged it! What amazing speed!"
"H-Hehe that's quite the attack, you easily went through my armour," Raditz complimented.
"T-That doesn't mean anything unless I hit you! Damn it all for nothing!" Piccolo said.
Then just when Raditz was about to fire his Double Sunday and kill Piccolo he suddenly stopped.
"U-Ugh, w-what the!" Raditz said turning his head.
"Hehehe, you got careless, didn't you," It was Goku who had managed to sneak up and grab Raditz' tail.
After Piccolo had started to charge up his attack, Raditz managed to trick Goku into letting him go and was now stepping on his chest.
"Whahahaha, you idiot, your way to soft to be a Saiyan warrior if you let your enemies go as easily as that!" Raditz said, laughing. "Now prepare to die!"
Raditz then stated stepping on Goku even harder and then Goku started screaming. Then suddenly a huge power level was shown nearby on Raditz' scouter so he looked around and suddenly Gohan burst out of the space pod.
"WHAT!!!" Piccolo and Raditz shouted in surprise.
"A power level of 1730, impossible for a kid!" Raditz exclaimed. "A-And it's still going up!"
"L-Leave my dad, ALONE!!!" Gohan shouted and charged at Raditz, covered in energy.
He crashed headfirst into Raditz' chest cracking his armour and winding him, just like in the original story.
"D-Daddy?" Gohan said having calmed down.
"Ehh, Gohan?" Goku said surprised. He then said, "Gohan, go, get out of here!" But Gohan was scared and worried about his dad and didn't move.
Then Raditz started stepping forward and said whilst breathing heavily, "Y-You bastard!"
"No, stay back!" Goku warned, but Raditz still walked closer and when he saw that Gohan's power had gone he asked, "Hey, kid what happened to all that power you just had?!"
"W-What power?" Gohan said, scared.
"Bah, play dumb if you want, you'll pay, all the same!" Raditz said, pissed that a kid could hurt him.
"Leave him alone!" Goku shouted as Raditz stepped closer to Gohan.
The then hit Gohan of to the side and Goku yelled, "GOHAN!!!"
"Please, he's just a little boy, don't hurt him!" Goku said, trying to plead with Raditz.
"Hehe, sure he's only a little boy, but he's very strong and he has a power even higher than you, little Brother," Raditz said. "And if he ever learnt to control it, it would be very bad for us. So he must die, now!"
Goku tried to get up or crawl but he was too injured to move and tried again to plead with Raditz, but wasn't listening and was about to kill Gohan when suddenly Goku grabbed him from behind and help him back.
"Piccolo, now! Charge up your attack!" Goku yelled.
"Hehehehehehehehe, Goku, sometimes you amaze even me, now hold tight this'll take some time, and don't listen to anything he says!" Piccolo said charging up his attack.
They struggled Raditz thought, 'Damn, how could that brat's attack weaken me so much!'
He then said, "Kakarot, you fool, how do you expect to dodge that beam and hold me at the same time?!"
"Hehe, you're right, I can't, we'll both go," Goku said.
"What! that's insane, you'll be killed, is that what you want?!" Raditz said struggling even more.
"If that's what it takes to beat you!" Goku said.
"Hold on, I'm almost ready. Don't worry, I won't hesitate, killing you along with him is only a bonus for me," Piccolo said but then thought, 'Anyway it would only be a matter of time before your friends wish you back with the Dragon Balls, too bad.'
"Piccolo, my ribs are broken, hurry!" Goku said.
"I'm almost there, Goku, hang on!" Piccolo said.
*Bibibip* "A power level of 2110, if that hits we're finished!" Raditz shouted. "Hey, Kakarot, if you don't let go of me we're both going to die!"
"Prepare yourself, Goku, it's ready!" Piccolo shouted and Fired his Special Beam Cannon straight through Raditz and then Goku.
Then they fell away from each other, with Raditz cursing them as he fell forward and Goku getting caught.
"Hey guys, sorry I couldn't come sooner, but hey you actually beat this guy," It was Tarro who had caught Goku.
"Ugh, t-that's ok, Bulma told us about your training," Replied Goku coughing up some blood.
Then Tarro laid Goku on the ground, walked over to Raditz and crouched in front of him.
"Hmm, you look familiar, who might you be?" Tarro asked, feigning ignorance.
"H-He's a Saiyan like us and he said that he is my elder brother," Goku replied.
"Oh, now I remember you're Raditz right, Bardock's son. Wow, I can't believe another Saiyan came to earth, so why are you here?" Tarro asked with a smile.
"Y-You your him, the Tarro, who fought with the adults even when you were just a kid?! But why are you here we all thought you were dead since we could track your space pod!" Raditz said, extremely scared.
"Oh yeah, I sparred a bit with you didn't I as well, anyway, like I said why are you here?" Tarro said again, with a scary smile.
*Boom* Suddenly Raditz' scouter exploded.
"WHAT!!! Y-You, this scouter measures up to 10,000, which means your over that by some margin!" Raditz said even more scared. "Damn it, why did this have to happen, if I had known it was you they were talking about you could have helped us, now two of the few remaining Saiyans are dead!" Raditz said and coughed some blood.
"No, Goku won't be gone for long," Said Piccolo, "I'd say his friends will have him back within the week."
"W-What, that's impossible, tell me how," Raditz said.
"Huh, gladly, on this planet we have something we call the Dragon Balls and when all seven are collected they grant anyone wish, including bringing the dead back to life," Piccolo explained, "So you see it is Goku who will have the last laugh."
"Ugh, hehe, that's where you are wrong, green man, that device on my face was a transmitter and my friends just heard Tarro, and now that they know he has a power level of 10,000 they will come to seek him out and get revenge for me," Raditz explained.
"When, when will they come?" Goku asked still laying on the floor.
"Heh, about one year, and the funny thing is they are much stronger than me!" Raditz said, "So your victory today, it means nothing, your as good as dead!"

Then they suddenly heard a plane fly by. It was Bulma, Roshi and Krillin who had just caught up.
"Tarro's down there guys he must have just gotten there as well!" Krillin commented.

Even as Goku's friends rushed to his side little could they know that far far away, in the distant corner of the galaxy two Saiyans were talking about what had just occurred.
"He's a disgrace, how could he let himself be beaten by such weaklings!" Vegeta said while chewing on an alien.
"I don't know, maybe we should go teach those Earthlings a lesson?" Nappa asked.
"A waste of time. Then again I am curious," Vegeta said, spitting a bit of bone.
"Ahh, are you thinking about Tarro?" Nappa asked.
"Exactly, he's the one who caught my interest. Even if he does have a power level of over 10,000, it can't be by much so I should be able to beat him. And if I do, he will have no choice but to help us. And anyway they were talking like Kakarot wouldn't die, and that reminded me of that legend of the Namekian wish orbs. So if they do have something similar, think of the possibilities, we could wish to be immortal for endless fighting, and I think that's the reason that Tarro might have travelled there in the first place. Wouldn't you say that's worth making a little trip?" Vegeta explained.

Back on Earth, everyone was gathered around Goku while Bulma was checking Gohan.
"You're going to make it, Goku, you can pull through!" Krillin said holding his hand and almost crying.
"No, Krillin," Master Roshi said sadly.
"He can, can't you Goku, just say something, anything!" Krillin said.
"Well Gohan's still unconscious, but otherwise I think he's ok," Bulma said.
"That's good," Goku said, weakly. "Chi-Chi would kill me if he got hurt."
"G-Guys take c-care of Gohan for me," Goku said.
"Sure buddy, but it's not gonna come to that!" Krillin said, still upset.
"Hey, Krillin, just relax ok, we can just revive him with the Dragon Balls," Tarro said, less upset since he knew that Goku would be revived.
"Hmm, that's right Krillin," Master Roshi said.
"Yeah, I won't make it, not this time," Goku said getting weaker with each strained breath.
"Don't worry I'll wish you back, just like you did for me!" Krillin said.
"I'll see you s-soon..." Goku said, closing his eyes.
