The four of us were seating on a sofa lounge, chatting and laughing while drinking some alcohol and I was just drinking sparkling water.

"You really don't want any champagne?" Shawn whispered in my ear. His breath tickled me and I shivered a bit.

"No. I'm avoiding alcoholic drinks for now. The doctor also advised me." I give him a polite smile.

"Your glass is almost empty. Let me get you and drink at the bar. Sparkling water right?" Shawn asked and I nodded. "How bout you guys?"

"Get me a glass of whiskey bro." Gerald asked.

"Another champagne for me." Teena smiled.

Shawn walked towards the bar.

"There are really many people in our batch." I said while looking around.

"Yes. Our university is top notch here at N city so many students really try to go there." Gerald said. "The tuition is expensive but many try to get scholarships to get in because once you are a graduate you are sure to land good jobs after."

"Speaking of scholarship you were also a candidate for scholarship. You were on top when you graduated in your high school. But you turned it down saying other people who needs it most can have your spot. Because you can pay the tuition while others who are qualified but can't afford." Teena said.

"Really?" I smiled with the thought. I remembered that I always do good in my studies just to please my father. To get his acknowledgement.

"What are you guys doing?" Julia said. She came from behind me. She took the sear right next to me where Shawn was seating.

"Oh nothing much." Teena said sarcastically. "We were having fun before you came around." Even before, Teena had bad blood with Julia. I always tried to make them be friends back then but Teena said she just had a 'feeling' that she can't seem to like her so they didn't become close. If I just knew that 'feeling' of hers was a warning sign then I wouldn't have died that day. And all of what had happened now might have been different.

"I just want to give my sister a toast for her successful fashion show this evening." Julia was holding two glasses of champagne. She gave one to me. I look at her instinctively.

"I can't drink any alcoholic drinks Julia." I said.

"Oh come now, just one. I got this just for you." Julia said. "Please. This is my sign of sisterly love."

"Hmph, sisterly love." Teena said softly but just right for Julia to hear. She then took a sip from her champagne. I giggled internally. 'I can't agree more.'

Julia looked sharply at Teena. I took the glass from Julia. "Okay but just one glass." I smiled at Julia sweetly.

"Congratulations on your successful show." Julia brought up her glass. The four of us clicked our glasses.

"Congratulations." Gerald and Teena both said.

They took a sip on their glasses while I touched the rim of my glass with my lips.
