My name is Marcus and I manage this club, we call ourselves "The Guardians". Marcus continued his speech by looking at Zion.
"Your father said that you wish to join us. We will naturally welcome you after all your siblings have already proved themselves a valuable asset to the club and we expect nothing less from you."
Nathaniel looked at Zion and said, "Don't think this is something simple. They are only semi-retired, they coach and train the next generation commandos. Few are working in the military. Therefore, if you were deciding to join the group, you have a responsibility to uphold. Protect the city and her benefits."
Zion stares at his father for some time and sighed. "Do you know what is coming? It is your naïve thought on protecting this city that killed you in the first place." Zion thought to himself. 'I can't blame him for getting blinded by the extreme sense of justice'.
"What are you thinking Zion? Nathan questioned his son.
"Nothing dad, I was just thinking about what I told you last night. Do you remember any of it?"
Nathan with a clueless and confused look asked Zion what he is trying to express.
"I have some blueprints in my hand and I wish to open an arm's manufacturing company. Since I am part of the club now, it's natural you should help me with this minor inconvenience." Without hiding his desires, Zion asked for favors. "If I let my father deal with this issues, then a lot of negative publicity will be generated, which will definitely take a toll on his reputation."
Marcus and Nathan looked at each other and said, "What are you coming to say and where did you even get a blueprint? Do you think the arms manufacturing is child's play? It needs a lot of paperwork and what do you have to compete with others?"
They thought Zion was trying to achieve something impossible. Even though they were willing to support Zion, it should be something worth and assuring. They tried to reason with Zion about the difficult nature of the arm's industry and possible repercussions, but he didn't budge.
"An armor piercing bullet with less weight and size, you can use it at a short distance as well. Now do tell me whether these things have any value with a vest that can stop this bullet. I have drones and some pretty ideas on communication devices, light, and heavy vehicles."
Zion convinced his father and his friends that his endeavor will only end in a success and asked them to help him. "So, what were you going to do, if we didn't support you," Marcus asked Zion curiously.
"I will go to the private sector. There are people with good money and influence. You would have missed a good chance to get your hand on this tech easily." Zion told them truthfully that his decisions couldn't stop by anyone.
"OK, we will deal with the registration and licensing for you, but the transaction of any weapon manufactured in the factory should be under the authorization of the city. If you cannot achieve this, we cannot protect you. Do we have a deal? Zion."
"Yes, we have sir!" Zion replied and shook the hands with Marcus as a symbol of the beginning of a prosperous relationship.
"Now tell me what your plans about the company are? Its operations and market? Where are you going to establish the factory? We need those data to do the paperwork, Zion.
"I will send someone to help with the details, but I will be opening my company this week. I hope the city council can show their sincerity to us. I don't need any concession on taxes, but need a tax break for the first three years. My company will also deal with a myriad number of the technological field. So wait for the big day.
"We will be having a lengthy conversation tonight, son." Nathan is having a wonderful smile on his face and Zion knew that he is angry. 'Even I would be angry if kept in the dark as this' Zion thought.
After a deep conversation between Marcus and Zion, Marcus had a rough understanding of the ambition of Zion. He appreciated Zion for taking such bold and proactive actions. "I will introduce you to a person; she is one of the promising candidates in our talent pool. She is good at fighting and her talent to manage these is amazing. She possesses many degrees and we always wonder where she gets the time for everything."
"If you are interested I will contact her and let you guys meet each other. With her ability, you would be able to smoothly deal with things that you cannot deal alone. So, what do you think?"
"That would be good, but I haven't even started the company. So we could wait." Zion comforted Marcus with nice words. Even though Marcus put it has a helpful gesture, Zion thought it has an internal spy lurking beside him.
"I know what you are thinking Zion; we are not sending anyone to monitor you. We think you will suffer a loss while dealing with many businesses and she is the daughter of our colleagues. We have to convince her to go with you, now do you understand."
Zion knew that he couldn't refuse the offer and accepted it with a reluctant heart. He looked at Marcus and thought, 'I hope I won't ruin the relationship they have with my dad'.
"OK, I would really like to work with someone like her, so when should I expect her."
"She will come and find you. Take good care of yourself." Marcus let Zion leave and walk back to his office as Zion waited for his father to finish his tasks and went to find Alex.

"I will, of course, and I will give you a missed call…just save the number and we can keep in touch." Zion said. "It was nice meeting you Alex and I really appreciate your help."
"I guess it's time to leave," Zion said as he saw his father leaving the office room and walking towards him.
