When Zion reached his home, the next day already began. He jumped off the wall and walked towards the eastern side of the house. He slowly started to climb towards the second floor through the tree that was closer to the home. He jumped towards the open window and held on to it. Slowly and steadily, he went inside the home.

"It was a hectic day!" Zion thought aloud. He switched on the light and then started to undress. He looked in the mirror to see if there were any marks of the adventure he had, but there were no marks and the skin was unusually smooth and shiny.

"I guess you had quite a day my boy." A deep voice came from the behind of Zion. He turned around to see his father seated on the sofa and looking at him. "So what was it, you are hiding. It has only been a day and you are kicking the whole city."

"No father, I was quite low-key and I don't think this would be in the gossip column today," Zion said while turning around to take the big bathing towel.

"You hit people at the slum; you put up a good fight obviously. Don't you think you were reckless and what was with all that blood and dirt in the shirt?"

"You have lots of questions dad, but I don't have any answers that can satisfy you. I would be starting my new company with a few friends and I guess the military might be interested in the Product. So…help out." After replying to his father, Zion walked towards the bathroom to refresh himself.

"I would be waiting downstairs for you at sharp 9:00 am, get ready. We would be going to the club."

"Wow, that was fast. I thought you would take it slowly." Zion turned around with an astonished face.

"That was very considerate of you, Zion; you did put forth some nice actions last day. It is only a nature of mine to let you have more entertainment." Nathan said with a smile on his face.

Zion rolled his eyes at the reply of his father. He understood that he was angry with him for the fiasco in the slums. 'I guess the club was going to be tough' thought, Zion. while closing the doors.

---------------------------

"Wow, that was one hell of a face you have got there, what happened to your face buddy." There were many people working out and some people were in the arena fighting with each other.

"I just fell down last night, on the ground…" Alex said, but the irritation he had, could not be hidden from his face.

"I thought you were going to patrol sector zero last night. Did you fight with someone?"

"I was assigned to get a report on the unusual incidents in the abandoned sector. Many police officers were gone missing and the council was afraid of a media exposure."

"It is the last thing they want, a mass panic attack."

"Don't change the subject, did you find something? How would you explain that squashed face?" He started to pester Alex after sensing something fishy.

"OK, stop it! I got hit by a kid last night. Are you satisfied?" Alex was angry with everyone as he walked towards the exit.

----------

"Now listen to me kid, it was for your best interest that I'm speaking, and you shouldn't go and offend someone." Nathan lectured his son, as they walked towards the club. "Here we solve the issues on the arena and with your level of skills it won't be a surprise if you ended up in the bed rest for a month."

"That wouldn't be a problem, father, trust me; I'm extremely low-key and won't give anyone a premise to take advantage of me," Zion said enthusiastically.

As Zion passed through the doors of the club with his father, he met with a familiar face. It was only his face was very red as if someone squashed his nose. Seeing that person, Zion chooses to act as if he did not recognize him. However, fate was not with him.

"It's you, little fella, I was searching for you until now. You do have fast legs for someone small. How about, we compare a bit, I would go easy on you. Come kid…come with this brother to the arena."

Zion was stunned by the shamelessness of this guy, he was hugging Zion like a long lost friend. The hugging was so tight that Zion was finding it difficult to breathe.

"Stop it, Alex, he's my son and would be training with us from now on." Nathan stopped the hyper-emotional Alex. "Did you guy known each other before, I sure don't remember letting you guys know each other."

"Yeah, we know each other for a while, just pure friendship." Zion and Alex looked at each other and said together.

"OK, whatever it may be don't mess around."

Nathan left Zion and Alex to meet with the senior members of the club. Both of them stared at each other and it was Alex who has broken the silence first.

"You were Nathan's son, right, I should have thought it. You know kid, your dad and I used to be working together when we were rookies, but that guy got real skill and talent. He survived and impressed everyone in the bureau."

"With your skill, I should just let you take the arena and make those old guys have a look at you. This was one of the best ways to get faster recognition."

"So, you were saying that I should be more provocative," Zion asked.

"I would let you know a secret; we may be retired from the special force, but still active and do jobs for the city council and other affluent individuals."

"So you guys are like mercenaries. I haven't thought the special force members would become merc's. So how was the pay, it should be tough to get the services from you guys cheap." With a curious voice, Zion inquired.

"The pay would be high so does the job, we don't take the easy ones. Instead gives them to juniors like you. Your brother and sister were also part of this system. Your father would watch over them."

"So does that mean my father has an influence on the club?" He didn't know his father had so much influence over the city and thought, 'sometime influence doesn't matter when a strong brute force rips apart everything with a momentum'.

"Yes, he has a seat on the table. I don't need to elaborate on it, now do I?"

"You are jealous, aren't you?" Zion retorted back.

"You…kid".

"Ha…ha…I'm sorry about the attack on your face, I thought you were the law enforcement." Zion apologized to Alex for the assault on the night.

"Don't mind. I'm a good friend of your father. So I won't be hitting you hard, but don't expect you can let it slide that with an apology."

"You think I'm a 'soft egg', do you think I got lucky with you?" Zion asked with a warm smile on his face.

"You are one lucky bastard, Zion. If it wasn't for the darkness and the surprise attack you unleashed, I would have taken you down."

"You have no Idea…"
