She ignored them and looked back at her book.
Her lack of response prickled Caroline. It was because of her Zayden had been ignoring Caroline. He used to shower her with gifts but now he didn't give her any face. It had been a month and there was no sign of him. He didn't even return her calls or reply her messages.
Caroline felt a strong urge stab that bitch but she could only swallow back her rage. She had a very gentle reputation. How could she act out of character?
She gave a cue to her dogs to bark.
"You bitch! What kind of upbringing you had to make you fall so low to sleep around so shamelessly. You are even so outrageous to admit it in public without any shame"
Angelize didn't look up. The insults didn't evoke a single crease on her face.
She knew that her silence would be more agonizing to them than her knock-back.
And more importantly-if a dog barks at you, would you care to bark back at it or just ignore it?

Angelize lips curled up but she didn't say anything. But Sarah hadn't that sort of toleraance. Specially when she was also a commoner.
"Stop barking! Do you think you are any better? You pampered ignorant brats! What's so good with being rich? Your money can't buy you intelligence. So what if we are commoners? We have at least a better character than you rich hypocrites"
It is noteworthy that Sarah insults weren't restricted to Caroline pack. Ninety five percent of population of the college was rich. So a lot of the students in the class were not happy to hear that.
A thick tension could be sensed in the atmosphere as Sarah words offended a lot of them.
Caroline stifled a smile and she struggled to maintain a miserable and pitiful face.
"Are you saying that all the rich students of Imperial College have bad character and no intelligence?", Caroline amplified.
Relations between rich community and commoner community of the Imperial College was a very fragile matter. Specially when a lot of rich students believed vigorously that commoners shouldn't be allowed to attend Imperial College. And commoners didn't hold a favoured place in this conflict because of their low population.
Lot of commoners were forced to leave the college in this conflict.
Students became increasingly incensed. Specially because Sarah had more than average grades, they were always jealous of her accomplishments. And Angelize just paired up with class genius so she would definitely be ranked in first fifty. That intensified their jealousy.

"This is what you said.", Ashley exclaimed and place her hand over her mouth, "You said we can't buy intelligence with money. That means if we're rich we are pig-ignorant?"
Ashley was also a commoner but she was hiding the fact so nobody knew.
Or why else she would be a dog to Caroline?
Some of the students broke in their conversation and threw angry remarks at Sarah. Their eyes were full of disdain and contempt as they looked at the two friends with jealousy and hate.
"Stop bending my words!", Sarah said panicked. she knew the conservation was going to a dangerous turn. After today, she might be subjected to mass bullying and forced to leave the college.
Angelize sighed.
Looks like she will have to step in.
"Caroline I don't know about Class C", her resonant and confident voice was heard suddenly when she closed her book and looked directly at Caroline, "but the rich and the commoners of Class A share mutual understanding and have a good rapport"
And it was true. Angelize class hadn't experienced any disputes. The class A was very proud of the fact. It had a lot of very intelligent students, including Christain. The class was always at its best behaviour.
"Are you deliberately trying to cause trouble in our class because you lost to us last month?"
Lost to us last month.
That part of her sentence was a major turning point.
Last month Class C had challenged Class A officially in the exams but they lost in the end. The average score of class A was higher. So they did propaganda about Class A of cheating. Caroline was an active member of upheaval.
When the pupil of their class recalled all the propaganda and abuse, angry glares of the students turned to Caroline. Caroline felt numerous daggers stabbing her. The feeling of kinship awaked among them.
Individually the students disliked Angelize and Sarah and liked Caroline for her Angelic reputation but collectively they were both still members of Class A and Caroline was a common enemy.
"Caroline you've the guts to show up in our class after accusing of us cheating and freely bully students of Class A!"
"She is tricking you all", Caroline said desperately and rashly in her discomposure, "She is just a despicable commoner with a very bad upbringing"
Her words didn't make sense as she was panicked facing so many menacing looks.
"You dare to say that!", one student who was targeted on social media by Caroline gang and accused of cheating spat, "We saw it all. She hadn't said a single word and your friends were throwing all their insults. Who has a bad upbringing?"
After that more and more students stepped up to give vent to their anger.
Caroline took a step back.
She couldn't get that how had Angelize changed the whole public opinion with just few words.
"And we saw it all. Zayden was the one pestering her!"
Though a lot of students feared and respected him, Zayden was not the part of Class A but a part of class C. So naturally he was bound to suffer their spite.
So what? They had Christain.
"Yes, she had rejected him right there. She never gave him a face and yet he shamelessly followed her."
"What Sarah said was true but only for the riches of your class who chased out all of the commoners regardless of their good academic performance that lowered your average score", it was a commoner who said that. He had always detested that but had never gotten a chance to express his remorse because of fear of being targeted.
"You bitch! Get out of our class", One student threw a glass at her.
"Get out!" Then other threw a geometry box at her.
And so it began. A lot of students joined in to throw objects just for fun of it. Utterly humiliated, she ran out of class to avoid any injury.
Sarah was left flabbergasted.
Did these students, who have always looked down upon her, stepped up to help her?
Angelize was well composed since the beginning till the end and after saying those few fateful words, she resumed to reading, not even lifting her head once to see the aftermath of her words and rejoice in Caroline misfortune.

A few students, in the spur to their kinship, went to them and asked them to never bow to anyone from Class C. If Caroline dared to bully them again, they would step up again.
But there were few sharp students too who had seen how Angelize had turned the tables manipulating their hard feelings against Class C for her own good. They conceived one thing that day.
