While Ms. Blade had been so nice to her, it still felt rude to stay for a night. And Angelize couldn't stay for certain other reasons so she had to politely decline her offer.

"It won't do", Ms. Blade said in a motherly voice as she shook her head, "You can't leave this late at night with this heavy rain. Let Christain give you a ride"

Christain, who had been shamelessly stuffing his mouth with dessert, looked up.

"Mom, leff the drifer droph heff", he jumbled his words as his mouth was still full of stuff.

"Christain where are your table manners", Mr. Blade berated, "And driver Roland already left on a leave"

Christain, the lazy ass, was going to object again but then his eyes lit up as he realized something.

That might be a good chance to learn where she lived. He might get a chance to install other methods to investigate her.

"Okay"

Angelize had to agree to that because it was going to be hard job to find a taxi in the heavy rain besides who would mind a free ride?

"Then I'll have to trouble you", Angelize paid her greetings before leaving.

As she walked out, someone bumped into her.

She looked down to find a cute little girl, probably five years old. She was wearing a cute rabbit nightwear and holding a stuffed animal in her hand. Her other hand rubbed her eyes as she yawned sleepily. She had brown hair and similar piercing eyes. Her eyes were similar to Christain. But her eyes didn't match Ms. Blade. Her hair was also very different to both of them.

"Ava why are you not asleep yet?", Ms Blade voice came from behind.

"Its thundering. I-I was scared."

"Is she your daughter?", Angelize asked.

Before Ms could answer Christain hurriedly said: "She is my little sister"

Before Angelize could figure out anything, Christain said:

"Lets go", and walked away. Angelize had no choice but to follow him out.

Once they were in the car and Angelize had told him her address, Christain said:

"That was a good act you put, acting like a civilized lady"

Angelize looked at him strangely but didn't say anything.

The girl who could take three men down in one go could still act all girly?

"And whatever my mom told you about me, don't believe it. She exaggerates a lot"

At this Angelize face looked bright.

"Do you mean that when she said that you wetted your bed till ten grade, it was an exaggeration?", she had a cheeky grin.

The car swayed dangerously on the road.

"That-that...", he didn't have a heart to deny it openly when it was true.

Angelize chuckled.

"Don't worry. I won't tell anyone"

Christain lost the will to talk to her anymore.

Angelize looked outside through the window where countless trees passed. In the dark night, thunders and lightening dominated the sky. When Christain thought that they were going to pass the next of their ride in silence, Angelize said a few words.

"You are very lucky", Angelize said after a pause while she was still looking out of windshield, "You've such a loving family"

Christain could sense a faint sadness in her voice.

A lot of questions flooded in his mind, too pressing to be asked. But he knew he shouldn't. Angelize wouldn't answer anyway.

"Not every family is perfect", he said attempting to console her grievance as his thoughts shifted to his father.

"Ava, your little sister. Is she...", Angelize looked at him reluctantly.

"Yes", Angelize had already guessed it so there was no use hiding it now, "She is my step sister. Illegitimate child of my father"

Christain eyes were full of wrath.

Under the dim light, his feature were greatly amplified and his face looked quite captivating. His blue piercing eyes were full of resentment as his fingers tightly gripped the steering wheel.

Angelize could feel his wrath and she didn't ask any further questions. His father was surely a sensitive matter for him.

"He never comes home", Christain continued, "While my mother keeps on waiting for him day and night, praying for his good health", his voice had grown increasingly hostile, "And there he is f**king himself with his mistresses!"

Slowly he got back a hold on his emotions.

Angelize didn't whisper a thing.

He was speechless.

Why did he let himself lose his calm?

He had never exposed his inner thoughts to anyone before. Not even to Noah with whom he was the most close.

As he fretted over what to say next Angelize softly said.

"At least you have your mother. You should cherish her"

And he did cherish her. Angelize could tell that.

He had never let any friends to visit him because he was scared that they might look down upon his mother and hurt her. His mother was simply plain with no taste in clothes and fashion.

It was the reason his father left her to chase after young and beautiful women.

Her character was straight-forward and honest. She was not an artificial person and every word she said to Angelize was true and sincere.

Everything had a reason.

Christain lacked the typical condescending nature of riches. It could be attributed to the humble upbringing of his mother.

That explained why was he so different from other students of Imperial College.
