Leisurely crossing his legs over the desk, Arsenio Ishiko was sunken in the big comfy chair in his expensively-furnished air-conditioned office while indolently going through some files. The Don of the night was the CEO of the day of a mega co-operation. That single heavenly body fitted in the both roles exquisitely. Andrian came in to update him about the latest deal. After thoroughly detailing him, Andrian didn't leave immediately but stood his place.
He wanted to say something but couldn't find his voice to begin.
"Speak", Arsenio Ishiko just needed to say a single word. He didn't even look at him.
"Big Boss I was wondering. Don't get me wrong but I was wondering...", Andrian trailed off. He was afraid to offend him. He had no intention to rile him up but the thought had been bugging him since yesterday.
"Get to the point", a voice said curtly.
"It is-it is about that girl. She heard too much and even then you let her go. It was just so unlike you. It is just unprecedented. You even allowed her a scholarship and asked me to arrange a place for her. First I thought that you've taken a liking to her but then you sent her away even though it is dangerous because she knows too much. Why was you so rash?". Andrian tightly shut his eyes and counted to ten.
Arsenio Ishiko listened to everything maintaining his calm and poise. His refined features were so enticing that they could even turn a man gay.
"Since when I've explain myself to you?", his tone was bone-chilling.
"No-no-no Big Boss, its not like that, I'm just worried that...", Andrian was sweating. He did enrage him.
"Regarding that little fox", he cut him off closing the file in his hands, "I was going to ask to arrange spies to monitor her every movement but make sure she doesn't find it out. That little fox is cunning"
Andrian was dazed for a while, "You do suspect her."
"Her martial art was too good for a street girl besides we couldn't get enough about her street life. Her background was also suspicious, too smooth and explicit to be true. Nevertheless its better not to let our guard down"
"So that scholarship stunt was just a trick", he was flabbergasted," A trick into letting her believe that we didn't doubt her so she would incautiously contact the other party and we would seize both the spy and the master-mind?"
Side of his lips twitched up.
"Brilliant Big Boss brilliant! I couldn't have come up with a ploy like that."
There was a slight possibility but they must not be negligent because it was the politicians who were involved. But relying on his character discernment, judging the girl's temperament and her personality, it was highly unlikely or else she was a con artist.
Regarding that possibility he pondered for a while then said.
"And also I want a thorough detail on her family"
Earlier, at the mention of her family, the little fox had an unsettled flash in her eyes. Though she was proficient in hiding it, it couldn't escape Arsenio Ishiko discerning eyes. At the minimum, it aroused his curiosity.
