The next day, just as Kaoru continues his own training, Raven stepped out. Kaoru didn't ask where he was going and let him be. He also felt that something is different from Raven, he just didn't bother asking.

On the other side, Tazuna have finally informed the others of Kaoru's intention. In total, there are six generals and six captains, including him, Kaoru is to battle 13 oppponents in just a day.

This people were in half half decision. Half of them were after all silently rooting for Tazuna to remain as the one leading the kingdom while the other half have no trust in him.

"Even if some of you do not trust me, I still want you to be serious with the battle for tomorrow. He might have been able to get the heart of the people but a king should be strong enough to protect his people."

Tazuna started saying as he look at the people in front of him. Up to now he was still seething with anger because Kaoru didn't act out the plan he had in his head.

'If he just did as what I had planned then he wouldn't have to suffer tomorrow. Does he really think that he can defeat them by himself? Even if he did had some capabilities with weapons and battles, he is still far different from them who had fought on wars for so many years. What a fool,' he added in his head.

After their dicussion he had dismissed them and went to the training ground in the castle. He was using the normal sword as he started warming up. He was the highest general among them, clearly he was also the best.

'Speed? He must have been a speed ability user. I can see how he had very much integrated his ability to his movements. It was indeed fluid,' Raven thought as he watch Tazuna train.

Somehow Hesperian kingdom was truly lacking, he can move around freely without being seen by the guards or servants. They are too lax.

After seeing Tazuna's capability, he swiftly left and checked the others as well. By the time he was done with all his investigations, it was already sun down.

"Where have you been? I prepared a bountiful dinner for the two of us, come now and eat," Kaoru said upon seeing Raven come down. He knew that this guy have entered through his window once again.

As they eat, Raven placed a whole lot of paper in front of them, "These are all the information I could gather regarding those whom you will be fighting with tomorrow. Their attack patterns and their movements."

After saying so, he continued eating like what he had just said was nothing.

Kaoru, on the other hand, stopped eating and picked up the pile of papers. He read each of them and found it amazing that Raven was able to gather all of this within just a day.

"You have truly grown up into such an amazing one, haven't you?" Kaoru commented after reading everything.

"Do you have a plan?" Raven asked after putting down his spoon.

"Have my brother not told you? I am someone who can fight better when I am not using my brain," Kaoru replied non chalantly.

Raven raised an eyebrow as he look at Kaoru.

"Lets just say that with their number, I'd rather fight them in group. Much faster than taking them on one by one."

Raven chuckled, "Shall we have a go once again? This time without holding back. I've found a really good place where no one would go to. It was at the edge of the city and was well hidden by the trees. We can go all out over there."

Kaoru looked at him and smiled, "I wouldn't turn such a wonderful offer down."

*****

At a hidden place at the edge of the kingdom's city where trees were plenty. One could here swords hitting each other. One could discern that the way they clash was with heavy blows.

Sweat drip down Raven's face as a rarely seen smile formed in his lips. Kaoru had the same look, both were enjoying the bout they are having. Kaoru's heavy sword against Raven's dual sword.

Kaoru's movements weren't slow despite having more than 20 blank years. He was moving fast and was very agile, adding to how heavy he could slash his sword. Even Raven who was deemed as one of the best were having a hard time sparring with him.

They had been going on for more than three hours already but they weren't even showing signs of wanting to stop. Their bloods were boiling as they fought with each other, as if meeting your own rival for the first time.

If Rino and the others were present, they would surely want to cry as they watch this. They never had the chance to see Raven enjoy himself this much when he was sparring with any of them.

The one who would cry the most would surely be Yukimura, despite having so many upper hands against Raven, he would never see such look on his son's face. There's only seriousness, as if he was always calculating on his movements.

But right now, his movements were plainly on instinct, he attacks and defend with his body, without thinking so much of planning ahead for his subsequent attacks. Maybe because Kaoru was such a swordmaster but somehow Raven enjoys this more than his other bouts.

*CLANG*

After another two hours they finally jumped away from each other. They were drenched in sweat and they were breathing heavily. But the smiles were still there.

"People would surely envy you for having such talent with sword wielding. Your blank years are like nothing," Raven commented as he put back his swords to their sheaths.

Kaoru just went straight to lying down, he just fell on his back with a happy smile. His hands were spread as the cold night wind gave him the coolness he needed.

"I feel like I've returned to my younger years, the last time I had this enjoyment was when I had a battle against the then headknight. He was one of the best after all, your grandfather that is," Kaoru commented as he watch Raven lie down beside him and the two of them looked up at the starry sky.

"I've heard that he was an amazing one, too bad I didn't get the chance to meet him for he died in a war with Hesperian back then. Truly Aurora and Hesperian have a very long history," Raven commented.

"After winning this battle that long history would finally end. And the fact that I could get this chance was all due to her efforts. If she didn't do so, surely this kingdom wouldn't be as open minded as they are right now."

"She had changed so many things in less than fifteen years," Raven replied as he took a deep breath and the cold wind blew over them.

"Let me guess, you were sent here because they wanted  you to have a change of environment, don't they?" Kaoru asked as he glanced at Raven.

"Who knows, maybe they did, maybe they didn't."

Kaoru started laughing after hearing his reply, with a click of his tongue he once again spoke up, "And why don't you be honest, how do you really feel right now?"

Raven first stared up in the sky as her smiling face flashed through his mind, he then covered his eyes with his arm and with a bitter smile he replied, "I miss her, funny, I never thought I would ever feel this way. But I was actually just kidding myself for I truly miss her and I have regretted it."

He raised his arm that was covering his eyes, as he spread his hand, as if wanting to grab something in the sky, "Not telling her how much I love her and stayed waiting."

And for the second time after her disappearance, tears dropped from his eyes, flowing down his temple dropping to the grass, he had a bitter smile as he clenched his hand into a  fist as if he had caught something from the sky.

Kaoru was already sitting down and he could only look up after hearing Raven's words, "Surely she must be missing you as much. Even though she had been hiding it I was able to see just how much of an emotional person she was."

"Then she should just come back," Raven replied as he once again covered his eyes with his arm.

*****

Tear drops that never showed flow down from her eyes. Her eyelids didn't flutter nor her fingers moved, but for the first time since her arrival to their world she was crying. As if she heard his pained voice and the longing within it.

Only the flickering of the torches accompanied this scene, her two guardians weren't there to witness it. They couldn't stay all day in her chamber after all.

The tears didn't stop and soon soaked the pillow beneath her head, showing just how much she longs to return and be with him despite being in an unconscious state.
