Numerous teenagers immediately rose up and approached to the altar in order for the beginning of the ritual.
Rainer being the last to get up was easily noticed by Yren and his followers, who were quick to make a mockery of him.
"Hey trash, did you really dare to attend the ceremony?" Said Jathra as he laughed and pointed at Rainer.

"Did a cat get your tongue or what?I doubt you'll be calm after the ritual hahahaha.""
"...?"
Rainer was wondering what he meant by that, but he didn't care because he thought they would beat him again after summoning their spiritual beasts.
Rainer glanced sidelong at Alisha, who was staring fervently at him as she squeezed her fists.
"She is probably encouraging me..., it just makes me feel more guilty..." Rainer couldn't help but whisper after seeing Alisha more excited than him.
"If I could just summon a spiritual beast regardless his strength..."
On Guyi, spiritual beasts have their own ranks, this ranking system allows Guardians to have an idea of the strength and talent of their spiritual beast.Ranges vary from 1 to 10, a higher rank on this ranking means a superior strength and talent, while a lower rank implies an inferior strength and talent, however Guardians will always be stronger than ordinary humans with no spiritual energy.
This ranking is only applicable among Guardians.
Guardians usually possessed spiritual beasts at levels 1-3, and small clans with the resources to raise Guardians as the Lorren Clan were able to cultivate a 4th rank spiritual beast, while higher level beasts were only found in Great Clans with a heritage and ancient techniques.
"I expect to summon a spiritual beast, no matter if it is a 1st rank beast, it would be embarrassing for a young master, but with my spiritual energy... I cannot have high expectations".
"Hhhuh." Rainer was only able to sigh about his lack of talent.
"Why did Yren have to be born with such an immense amount of spiritual energy?"
"Comparisons are hateful." A charming but cold voice came from the back of Rainer.
Turning his back he found Liann, as usual she was wearing a veil that made it impossible to see her face, but what little she showed implied that she looks so beautiful as a fairy.
He had always laughed about those jade-skinned beauties that appeared in web novels, but since he came on this world he had always thought that Miss Liann would not have anything to envy of those "beauties" who would bring down kingdoms.
Rainer always wanted to see her appearance below that veil, but he never dared to dream of it after Alisha told him that she was a guest from the head of the clan and that she was held in high regard.
"She must be a princess from some powerful clan or sect..." Rainer thought when he saw how mysterious Miss Liann was.She had been living in the clan for three months, but nobody knew what she was looking for, and no one dared to ask.
Not even waiting for a reply from Rainer, she stepped forward to meet the clan elders, who bowed their heads as a sign of respect, signaling that nobody in the room should offend her.
Arrangements were quickly finalized as the elders called the first young man, Yren!
Yren walked slowly toward the altar, apparently he was enjoying having everyone's sights focused on him.
" Yeah! Take a good look from me, hillbillies, from today I'll be a guardian and I' ll rule over your lives and deaths kekekeke...."
Yren couldn't help but laugh when he imagined himself ascending to the heavens next to a powerful spiritual beast while everyone hailed and praised him.
Of course he did not forget to turn his lascivious gaze towards Alisha, who tremble, she felt that a snake was going through her body and she was uncomfortable.
"Damn pervert, once Rainer summons his spiritual beast, he'll show you the biggest lesson of your life".Muttered Alisha after feeling that Yren was deviating his gaze from her body.
"Yren imbue your palm with spiritual energy and place it upon the altar".Said Gunm, the clan's Grand Elder and main supporter from Yren.
"Yes, Grand Elder!"
*Flash*
After he placed his hand upon the altar, it immediately illuminated with a bright light.
"Ohhhh". There were many shouts in the hall as they saw the light, the potency of this light showed that the spiritual beast of Yren must be of 3rd rank!
"....!"
It was as if the light did not want to disappoint the people who were present and it intensified to a new level.
"Here it is!" Yren's excited scream echoed throughout the room.
People held their breath hoping to see what spiritual beast Yren had summoned.
After a few moments, the light faded completely and all that remained upon the altar was a sort of tiger!
Yren had summoned a tiger from the Astral world!
"I will then proceed with the level measuring."The Grand Elder said as he approached to the tiger with a sphere of glass in his hands.
"Mmmm..." Everyone was so nervous, is it 3rd or 4th rank or maybe lower?
A smile of happiness could be seen on the face of the Grand Elder as he informed everyone about Yren's spiritual beast as soon as the sphere ceased to glow.
"It's a Snowy Saber-Toothed Tiger!"
"Unbelievable! As expected of the young promise from the clan! A spiritual beast of 4th rank!
"Yes, in a few years the Lorren clan will be ruling all these territories with his help!"
All the Lorren clan members were euphoric about it.
His young master had summoned a spiritual beast of 4th rank. That was to be celebrated.
Yren reached the altar and picked up the little snow-white tiger in his arms, happily sleeping in the arms of his vicious master.
"I'll call you Seth!
"What a good name, Yren!" Instantly, Ferris popped up to lick Yren's boots.
"You must keep him well to make him the pillar of the clan in the future, this is just the first step!" Said the Grand Elder.
"Yes, I won't let you down, elders!"

The next to come forward were Jathra, Paisen and other young talents from the clan.
To everybody's surprise, Jathra managed to summon a 3rd rank beast, just behind Yren's. This made him very happy as he had gone from being a follower to a possible high office within the clan later on.
Paisen summoned a 1st rank beast. Embarrassed, he quickly grabbed his beast and left the room with Yren and Jathra's laughs behind him.
Other surprises were the fact that among the other teens there were several 2nd rank beasts and a few in the 1st rank.
"Next....?"
The Grand Elder was surprised to see Rainer's figure coming closer, he never thought that the boy would dare to come and end up like Paisen or worse.
"Let's finish this once for all...." Thought the Grand Elder as he showed Rainer how to use the altar.
Anxious, Rainer was able to guide his spiritual energy to his palm before placing it upon the altar.
The moment Rainer placed his hand on the altar, a light as brilliant as the sun shone all over the hall, it was a surprise to them all!
It seemed like Rainer was summoning a shooting star .
"What's going on? What rank does that beast belong to?"
No one moved a muscle waiting to see what kind of beast Rainer had summoned!
"Will it be a fifth rank or even higher?"
The murmurs of the clan members reached Yren's ears.
"Impossible, that piece of shit couldn't be better than me!" Yren's eyes were blazing with rage, his fists were so constricted that blood was coming out of his nails.
"He might be the one...".Liann's charming eyes were moving between the altar and Rainer expecting to see what beast would appear from the summon.
