Chapter 6.2: Star Energy

The Heavenly Star Art was a cultivation technique used to absorb star energy. In theory, with every star energy he absorbed, it would increase his level by a few points. Though the Heavenly Star Art was only an elementary grade level, it was powerful enough because it continued a method to absorb star energy from eight stars.

Eight times! How terrifying efficient would that be? Moreover, the Heavenly Star Art contained a battle skill called the Heavenly Star Palm.

He never heard the existence of the Heavenly Star Art, but he knew it to be a terrifying existence! Possessing a powerful technique, perhaps it was constructed by the universe itself.

Logically speaking, if he were to roll the dice a little bit, the proportion of those able to obtain a battle skill should be quite small. Even if this thing gave him a pair of underwear, he wouldn’t be surprised.

Unfortunately, the skill obtained was only an elementary level.

It was impossible to know what was recorded on the crystal card. The way it was stored was exceptionally strict. The crystal card was broken now too. Sigh… He stole it from that unlucky bastard so acquiring the entire set of the cultivation technique was close to impossible.

But Lu Yin shook his head and didn’t think too much into it. Walking out of the tent, he found the tree to lie on. He then raised his head and looked at the sky, recalling the cultivation method of the Heavenly Star Art. The circulation of the stars? In the future, he’d probably have to sleep out in the starry skies forever.

… … …

At the same time, in the depths of the vast universe, a colossal mountain floated around dozens of stars. From a far distance, it looked like the butt of a cigarette, extinguishing every few seconds before burning brightly again.

Inside the giant mountain, a loud roar spread throughout the universe. “What did you say?! Brat, the cultivation technique is gone?! Did you give it to that bxtch gain?! GET THE FXCK OVER HERE!!!”

In the dark universe, a young man fled while feeling wronged. He clutched his butt and ran away in a pitiful state. “Dad, don’t wrongly accuse me! I didn’t… I didn’t do it… Damn it…!”

“Brat, do you think this daddy is an idiot? Who can steal from right under your father’s nose? Get your ass over here!”

“No, dad… I…”

… … …

During the night, Lu Yin couldn’t figure out how the cultivation technique worked so he tiredly stepped into the inner parts of Mount Bell.

The interior space of Mount Bell stood at the highest level. There were many people sitting inside the interior space’s huge meeting room.

As Lu Yin stepped foot into the meeting room, everyone turned their heads and looked at him with eyes full of curiousness, friendliness, and doubtful gazes. In short, there were all kinds of gazes directed at him.

“Brother Lu, sit here.” Feng Hong said immediately upon seeing Lu Yin’s figure.

Sitting on the other side of Feng Hong was the charming woman he met last night.

And sitting diagonally opposite of Lu Yin was the bespectacled lady he met a while ago.

Most of the people sitting here were captains of the Punishment Camp; some were researchers.

After a while of waiting, Zhou Shan walked into the meeting room. His gaze swept across the room and stopped at Lu Yin. A hint of doubt flashed through his eyes before he sat at the head of the table and smiled. “Let me introduce you to everyone. This is Lu Yin, the new captain of our Punishment Camp.”

Lu Yin stood up, nodded his head, and sat down again.

Lu Yin’s introduction was only a mere process. The true meeting would commence. The group soon discussed matters that Lu Yin had no care for. He sighed. Half an hour later, the meeting ended.

Everyone left, leaving only Zhou Shan and Li Yun alone.

“Lu Yin, yesterday, I thought you hadn’t absorbed energy crystals to cultivate. I wanted to discuss it with you. It seems like you ran out of energy yesterday…” Zhou Shan looked at Lu Yin and probed.

Lu Yin nodded, and with a serious and solemn tone, he said, “Punishment Saint, that alien is very strong. Even though he was heavily injured, it wasn’t that easy to deal with him. I had to use up all my energy to kill him.”

“From the looks of it, he seemed to be a Heaven Realm Expert. It’s fortunate that you were able to kill him.” Zhou Shan laughed.

Lu Yin smiled but did not reply.

“I heard that you came to the Punishment Camp yesterday but didn’t stay. Why?” Zhou Shan asked while looking at Lu Yin expectantly.

“I like freedom. I can’t stand the atmosphere of the camp. It feels suffocating.”

Zhou Shan nodded and sighed. “A lot of people think the same way. But, since it is the end of the world, humans should be all the more united. Those that need help shouldn’t be abandoned.”

“I understand, Punishment Saint!” Lu Yin replied.

Zhou Shan acknowledged his answer. “Right, how’s your injury?”

“It’s alright. I’ll recover soon.”

“This is what an evolved human is all about. Compared to ordinary humans, an evolved one is actually more dangerous. After experiencing first hand the true taste of power, they’ll want more and more. Countless people have fallen on this path and we may never know when it is that they’ll die.” Zhou Shan lamented.
