Upon entering, it was not some dark room, neither were there any horrible scenes, rather there were row after row of equipment that were constantly revolving, with a few people wearing frowns on their serious faces  observing an object in the centre of the room. This place was an underground lab.

Qi Mo and the others all involuntarily furrowed their brows. There were few people, with many machines, and together with the somber expression on Chief Bunio’s face, it seems that this wasn’t some small matter.

“Titanium ore.” White Falcon entered last and when he saw the greyish ore in the enclosure in the middle of the room, his eyes narrowed slightly.

Qi Mo glanced at Chief Bunio the moment he heard, calmly asked, “So this is what Chief wanted us to come here for?”

Titanium, a type of ore that contained radiation, was one of the best materials for when building aircrafts and warships. However, although it was radioactive, there were still tens of thousands of tons of titanium deposits on this earth so it wasn’t as precious as other elements with gold. As an extremely influential arms merchant family, the Qi Clan would often see aircrafts and warships that contained radiation in their build, so White Falcon who was in charge of this area had recognised it at first glance.

Chief Bunio nodded slightly, “Yes, that the one, however it isn’t a Titanium ore.”

White Falcon froze slightly the moment he heard, then walked forward to inspect the ore in front of him. It was greyish-white, and was slightly whiter than a Titanium ore. He couldn’t figure out what it was yet.

“This is the result from our analysis. Overlord Qi, please take a look.” Chief Bunio took a report from the person who had come forward after seeing them appear then turned around to hand it to Qi Mo.

Qi Mo looked through it twice before his face suddenly darkened. He uttered, “Technetium.” White Falcon’s face changed the moment he heard, while the silent Li Hu and Yellow Falcon exchanged an astonished glance. They all turned to stare at the greyish ore in the centre of the room.

Chief Bunio nodded, “That’s right, it’s not Titanium, but Technetium.”

Qi Mo’s face was dark as he walked over to examine the ore closely while coldly stating, “This is no trifling matter.”

Chief Bunio also walked over to stand beside Qi Mo, slowly saying, “I know, that’s why I asked you to come here. The discovery of this stuff will likely cause a huge change in the entire world.” Yet a hint of happiness suddenly flashed across his face.

Qi Mo frowned as he looked at the ore. Technetium. This ore that contained radiation did not come to be naturally, and one could only obtain it by extracting it from Titanium and purifying it. It was particularly important when creating nuclear weapons. As it could only be abstracted, it had high requirements when it came to the equipment and techniques used during the process. It was impossible to obtain Technetium with high purity if the foundations were not firm.

While now, the silvery substance before them was actually pure organic Technetium. This point was simply too shocking. If it was real, then the moment the news was leaked outside there would be a huge change in the world; that was something Qi Mo didn’t want happening.

Seeing them all silent, Chief Bunio said to White Falcon, “I know that you are an expert in this aspect. I have some untouched Technetium here which you can go to personally examine yourself.” While saying so, he pointed towards the greyish ore in the centre.

Hearing Chief Bunio say so, White Falcon looked towards Qi Mo, who was observing the greyish ore, who nodded under the gazes of all those present. He had to personally inspect things like this. White Falcon saw that Qi Mo had agreed and straightaway went to change into an anti-radiation suit.

The moment the glass was opened, White Falcon alone entered and begin experimenting with the ore. Outside, Qi Mo and the rest were all silently observing his actions, waiting for the results of his analysis.

Li Xin didn’t really understand that these ores contained radiation, but seeing that Qi Mo had a serious face, she couldn’t help feeling astonished as she carefully observed the ore. What exactly was that thing? What could it be used for? Even Qi Mo, whose face wouldn’t change even if Mount Tai were to collapse in front of him, had such a big reaction? She slowly walked forward to carefully look at the greyish ore.

She saw White Falcon inside examining the ore and the expression on his face turning from serious to very surprised, while the foreheads of their people standing outside changed to be slightly scrunched up.

“Overlord, it is indeed Technetium.” After getting out of the glass enclosure, White Falcon’s face was full of shock as he exclaimed. It was simply too shocking for there to actually be raw Technetium. It was definitely a discovery that was the only one of its kind in this world, a huge discovery that would overturn the understanding of ores in the modern world.

Qi Mo faintly nodded his head before turning to face Chief Bunio, asking solemnly, “Chief, what is the meaning in this?”

Seeing that Qi Mo was so frank, Chief Bunio didn’t beat around the bush and directly said, “Overlord Qi, I wish to do a transaction with you.”

“You want to sell it to me?”

Chief Bunio nodded, then shook his head, “Yes, but also no. I’ll be honest with you, this ore was brought back by accident by a subordinate of mine, and they say that there are apparently much more where it came from. However, as you know, although this stuff is precious I don’t have much use for it. If I were to have it, it could even become a scourge to me, while to you guys it is extremely useful as it is one of the sources of energy for nuclear weapons. With this, perhaps all the munitions trade in this world would be dominated by you. And perhaps, it wouldn’t just stop at the munitions trade.”

Saying so much, Chief Bunio smiled slightly. With this type of one of a kind findings, perhaps Qi Mo would become the real ruler of the underworld, an overlord that every country would have to give at least some face to.

“How much do you want?”

Listening to Qi Mo’s words, Chief Bunio knew that Qi Mo was agreeing to cooperate with him. His face turned serious as he said, “I’ll say the unpleasant words first. I’ll only be providing the news, and won’t bother about anything else. My appetite isn’t big either, I want 20% of the profits, the rest will be counted as a favour for you.”

Qi Mo’s voice darkened, “It’ll be very dangerous.”

Chief Bunio immediately laughed. Since Qi Mo had figured it out, he didn’t hiding it any longer, and said while staring at him, “It is indeed very dangerous. Although my team obtained it by accident, however not a single one them returned. I sent out a few teams, but in the end only one person was able to bring this stuff back to me, yet he’d also died after delivering it back. It seemed that because of the radiation from this ore, it changed the anatomy as well as physical capability of the aboriginals living on its land. They are so strong that they exceed the limit of an ordinary human’s capabilities. My best men were all lost because of that.”

Li Hu, who had been silent up till now, suddenly asked, “Why did Chief Bunio suddenly think of cooperating with us?”

Chief Bunio heard Li Hu’s unmoved tone and turned to calmly retort, “Do you not need it?”

White Falcon noticed the Chief had instead asked a question in return and stilled slightly before saying, “Chief is very clever.”

True, they needed it. Although nuclear weapons weren’t something any country or person would outright order, however with such an ore variation, if it were to be discovered and used by others, they would be the ones making a loss, after all this ore was too special, too miraculous, with the consequences it would bring too serious.

Chief Bunio gave a sly smile and raised a brow when he heard White Falcon say that. “You too, you too.” Since this stuff had already been discovered, there would eventually be a gap in the wall. If the information got out, he wasn’t sure if he would be able to secure it based on his abilities. Petroleum had already made the sparks of war fly in this place, if this was added into the mix, perhaps the land would completely be destroyed. They could not afford to not be more careful with it.

However if they didn’t let it out, it would be too big of a loss. To just let such an important discovery be, or have other people find out about its existence wouldn’t be advantageous to him at all. Choosing an influential power to sell the information to, no matter what, even if there wasn’t much money involved, at least, their relationship would definitely improve afterwards. Now that, would only be advantageous and not disadvantageous to him.

Qi Mo was the best choice in this situation. He was powerful enough, and while he was vicious in his actions, he was trustworthy and followed the rules; someone worth cooperating with.

Most importantly, Qi Mo was someone who belonged to the underworld,  and wasn’t someone an organisation or country could afford to have a head-on conflict with. Even if others wanted the ore, they couldn’t find any excuse to get it from him. Qi Mo’s situation was better and more convenient than his at the moment.

Qi Mo waved his hand slightly to interrupt their conversation. “Alright, I agree.”

Chief Bunio was full of smiles as he replied, “Great! I’ll provide you with the location and…”

“Quick come here!” Before Chief Bunio could complete his sentence, Li Hu suddenly shouted, the urgency and coldness in his voice making everyone turn towards the direction he was shouting at.

Li Xin was currently standing in the location closest to the glass enclosure, and was carefully analysing the greyish ore when all of a sudden Li Hu shouted out, making her jump. Before she could react, a huge strength pulled her towards the opposite direction.

Being pulled over all of a sudden, Li Xin wasn’t able to keep her balance and violently splayed on the floor. “What are you doing?” She sat on the ground in pain while staring at White Falcon who had pulled her away.

Qi Mo’s face instantly turned as cold as a ten thousand year old iceberg. His face was pale and was about to go over to help Li Xin, who hadn’t been able to get up from the floor up. Yet before he could, White Falcon who was standing beside Li Xin hurriedly stepped forward to stop him, urgently saying, “She can’t be touched.”

Li Xin supported herself to stand up on the ground, yet seeing Qi Mo, White Falcon,Li Hu and the rest have faces full of urgency while staring at her, the worry and hesitation in their eyes made her suddenly shiver. She asked them, “What happened?”

“Quickly seal the enclosure.” Chief Bunio’s face had also turned ugly and quickly ordered the few researchers by the side.

“Check up.” Qi Mo had an ashen face as he pushed away White Falcon and walked towards Li Xin while darkly ordering.

“You can’t, the radiation levels from Technetium is way higher than last time.” White Falcon gritted his teeth as he stood in front of Qi Mo, preventing him from going over. The nearby Yellow Falcon had also stepped forward to block Qi Mo, not letting him get any closer to Li Xin.

Seeing their actions, Qi Mo furiously shouted, “Step aside.”

“What’s going on?” White Falcon and Yellow Falcon didn’t react. Standing in the middle Li Xin’s face scrunched up slightly as she asked. She didn’t even do anything, and was just standing there observing. What was happening this time?

“You were standing in the range of the radiation.”Li Hu’s face was extremely unpleasant as he looked at Li Xin, his hands quickly moving about the examination equipment as he prepared to give her a thorough examination.

Li Xin instantly froze at his words. She looked behind, only to see the place she was previously standing at quickly being sealed off by the glass. The researchers of Chief Bunio were all sweating profusely as they apologised, “It’s all our fault, it’s all our fault!”

Previously, when White Falcon went out, the enclosure that had opened should have been completely closed. However it actually didn’t close completely, and there was a tiny gap left. As Qi Mo and the rest had been standing slightly further away, while Li Xin had been standing right in front of the gap, she coincidentally blocked the view of the others and no one had noticed. Neither had they ever thought that there would actually be such an error happening, until Li Hu walked over and finally realised.

Li Xin’s faced immediately turned white. Tightly clenching her fists she stood frozen on the spot. She gritted her teeth and lifted her head to look at Qi Mo. The words they’d said at first, she hadn’t really heard, however she’d heard that ‘radiation way stronger than last time’ White Falcon had said after she’d fallen down.

Chief Bunio hurriedly ordered, “Quick, immediately do the examination,” while personally running over to the instruments to help. This was an error on their part. If she really was contaminated by radiation, then now that there was an exception made by Qi Mo, who never had a woman by his side, he didn’t know how big of a tantrum he would have. There better not be a situation where not only did his business not succeed, he even had to pay with his life.

Qi Mo’s face turned even darker at that. Suddenly, his hands shot out like lightning to grab Yellow Falcon and White Falcon, quickly pushing them away. as quick as the two were, they couldn’t be faster than Qi Mo, and were thrown aside by him. In that instant they only had time to bend their waist, lower their centre of gravity, and then accompany his thrusting movement and flipped backwards, while he walked past them.

Qi Mo held Li Xin’s hand, leading her towards a few machines and said solemnly, “Go in. Remember what I said to you before,” While patting her shoulder.

Li Xin lifted her head to look at Qi Mo. The coldness and strictness in his eyes had, while making others shiver, given her a sense of security. Moreover, Qi Mo had said before that no matter what he would let her live another fifty years. Since Qi Mo was able to say that, then he would definitely be able to make it happen. She took a deep breath before walking towards the instruments.

The moment Yellow Falcon and White Falcon landed on the ground, they exchanged a glance, a strange expression surfacing on their faces. Li Xin didn’t say anything, and they hadn’t even seen her expression yet, however that body that calm it wasn’t even trembling at all still quietly told of her calmness and perseverance. To actually have been contaminated by two radioactive materials in such a short timeframe, it was also a kind of challenge for the

Mind and body. How much courage did that require? Looking at her calm and collected back, White Falcon and Yellow Falcon both tightened their jaws.

“Chief, there better not be any problems, or else.” Yellow Falcon stared coldly at Chief Bunio. The unfinished sentence actually carried an even heavier sense of threat.

Chief Bunio glanced at White Falcon, who had appeared behind him, and then at Yellow Falcon who was standing by the door. Their calm exteriors gradually started exuding killing intent, making his face not help but darken slightly. He looked at Qi Mo, who had been silently observing Li Xin go through the examination, warily saying, “If there are any accidents, I’ll give you guys something to account for.” The moment they heard this, the researchers’ bodies started trembling uncontrollably.

Technetium had incredibly strong radioactive properties; one had to take all preventive measures possible before they could get close to it. To be like Li Xin and stand so close to the slightly opened gap in the enclosure, and have no preventive measures taken at that, though she hadn’t faced it directly, she had still gotten fairly close to it and would definitely get contaminated by it; that they could be sure about. That’s why the moment they heard Chief Bunio say so, it was equivalent to giving them a notice of death. How could they still stay composed?

Qi Mo looked at the examination personnel who were shivering so much that even the machines that they were operating were shaking slightly, and his eyes pierced at them like knives. He snarled furiously, “Focus, or I’ll slaughter you all right now.”

“Yes, yes.” Suppressing the horror in their hearts, the people assisting Li Hu quickly helped him do the check up.

On the operating platform, Qi Mo saw that Li Xin was in so much pain that her face had turned green. With both hands trapped by two bands, her only moveable body part were five fingers that were clenched tightly, those whitened joints having used an unknown amount of strength to stop herself from trembling. Looking at the many types of needles dancing across her body, the blood quickly getting extracted, Li Xin’s lips were bitten until they had completely lost their colour. Her tightly shut eyes and fragile but staunch manner made Qi Mo’s brows tightly crease.

Reaching into the machine to hold Li Xin’s tightly clenched fists, Qi Mo felt her instant grab onto him tightly. The constant trembling was transmitted over and made the arctic storm swirling in his eyes swirl even more furiously, his powerful grip on her silently announcing his presence.

“Lungs functions: normal.”

“Kidney functions: normal.”

“Blood dialysis: normal”

The chain of reports came out, and amidst their shock, all those researchers revealed a look of wild undulated joy on their faces. There were no problems, there were actually no problems!

Li Hu stood next to the machine. He had personally done the examination and all the reports were precise and reliable. However, to actually be unharmed by the radiation after being so close to it, what was going on? This was completely impossible. Frowning, he said, “Once more.”

Beside them White Falcon heard the analysis report and was also stunned. As he led a chemical team under him, he knew the clearest about just how much radiation Technetium transmitted. To actually be unscathed after being in such close proximity, it didn’t mean that there was a problem with the raw material, rather it meant that there was definitely something strange about Li Xin’s body. He couldn’t help knitting his brows tightly while staring at Li Hu repeating the procedure.

Li Xin, who had sighed in relief, heard Li Hu say so and her body instantly twitched. This kind of pain, she really couldn’t stand. She couldn’t help tightly holding on to Qi Mo.

Seeing Li Xin curl up tensely, then noticing that Li Hu was only repeating the operation with the equipment and re-checking the results they had gotten instead of repeating the process on Li Xin’s body, he took off his jacket and covered her before carrying her up.

Feeling Qi Mo carry her, she opened her eyes to ask him in a trembling voice, “Aren’t we doing it again?”

Qi Mo carried Li Xin up as Yellow Falcon and the rest all shifted their eyes away. Placing her on his lap, Qi Mo helped Li Xin put on her clothes while calmly saying, “They only need to go through the results again.”

Hearing him say so, she instantly let out a sigh of relief. If that were to happen again, she didn’t knew if she could still withstand it. The unspeakable feeling from just now was something no one could understand. She leaned her head on Qi Mo’s chest and panted while struggling, “I’ll do it.” However Qi Mo didn’t even give her the chance to struggle and locked her in place with a single arm, rendering her helpless. She could only let Qi Mo do what he want.

“There are no problems, everything is fine.” In the quiet suffocating space, Li Hu was in disbelief, yet still announced it in a firm voice. When Li Xin heard it she couldn’t help but slightly shut her eyes, her tense body suddenly relaxing.

“However, why are there no issues?” Once they was assured of their own safety, the few researchers of Chief Bunio’s regained their inherent curiosity, starting to size Li Xin up.

White Falcon looked at Li Hu. “Why?”

White Falcon was speaking very cryptically, however Li Hu understood what he was talking about. Glancing at Li Xin, his forehead creased. “Don’t know, her body has particularly great immunity… Or rather, we can’t use that word. It’s more like exceptionally outstanding, so outstanding that it is way beyond people’s imagination. Maybe that why Li Xin wasn’t affected by the radiation?” Li Hu wasn’t too sure either, after all this was something way beyond their expectations.

“Could it be an issue related to the blood?” A researcher suddenly asked while walking into the sealed chamber in a protective suit towards the ore being displayed in the centre.

Qi Mo furrowed his brows. Before he could speak, he saw the researcher very quickly drip a drop of blood withdrawn from Li Xin, while the other researchers crowded around the examination instrument. White Falcon also squeezed to the front of the crowd to look.

“This… why is it like this?”

“Unbelievable, it’s simply a miracle!”

Cries of wonder came from the few researchers. Qi Mo’s eyes narrowed slightly at that, and lowered his head to look at Li Xin, who had also lifted her head to stare at him after hearing their exclamations. Their eyes met, and in Li Xin’s eyes was a look of curiosity, while Qi Mo’s face darkened even further at that.

“The blood quickly split apart the radiation rays, protecting itself. Radiation is useless against it.” White Falcon lifted his head and looked at Li Xin with a face full of shock, as well as deep contemplation.

Hearing White Falcon’s words, Li Xin’s whole being became livelier, and the corner of her eyes crinkled as she looked happily at Qi Mo, “I’m not affected by radiation, I’m actually not affected by radiation!” Seeing the radiant smile on Li Xin’s face, the darkness in his eyes slowly went away, however the grim look was still there.

“We must study this properly, I… what are you doing?” The few researchers were currently mumbling to themselves as they happily lifted their heads, but Li Hu had taken the chance to snatch away the test tube containing Li Xin’s blood, glowering at them as he said, “Mind your own business.”

Li Xin’s blood was too special. They had long known that it was too miraculous, too unique.

At that time, they’d already realised that something was wrong, after all she had been in such close proximity to it, it was impossible for there to be no side effects, while today, while being even more surprised, his first thought was that the news could not get out. Being too special was definitely not a good thing, and they would absolutely not let their partner be harmed by outsiders.

The few researchers couldn’t help freezing slightly. Sweeping their gaze across the cold-faced Qi Mo, and then at White Falcon and the others with their intangible killing intent, they all simultaneously lowered their heads. Although this blood type was too special, too unique, however to research it and contribute to society, there had to be people still alive to do it.

Glancing at the group of people, Qi Mo carried Li Xin as he stood up. At the same time Chief Bunio’s face went from surprise to wild joy as he said to Qi Mo, “Great coincidence, great coincidence, this is the heavens helping us. With someone who’s immune to radiation by your side, this time our odds have gotten a lot better. You have to know that half of my men died from radiation while the other half died in the hands of those aboriginals. She’s definitely the best candidate to survey the area for you.”

“Chief Bunio, that’s my business.” Qi Mo hugged Li Xin, coldly staring at Chief Bunio’s joyful face.

Chief Bunio froze slightly before laughing heartily after half a beat, replying, “Yes, I’m only responsible for providing information, however you guys want to operate is your business. Alright, its settled. I’ll give you the information on where the mines are, you decide on how to proceed next. I hope you won’t let me down.”

Qi Mo snorted. “That won’t happen,” And carried Li Xin while heading out. Chief Bunio stroked his brow. When he heard Qi Mo promise so straightforwardly the corner of his eyes narrowed in happiness as he followed Qi Mo out.

They didn’t delay at all, and after receiving the necessary information from Chief Bunio they left Halim Palace on the plane.

“Overlord, are we going there now?” Piloting the plane was White Falcon who didn’t turn his head to ask.

Qi Mo replied, “Yellow Falcon, temporarily go to secure Southeast Asia. Inform Black Falcon to come here after handing over the goods. White Falcon, tell your underlings to bring all the equipment that we’ll need and meet us there. Now, we’re going to Africa.”

White Falcon made a sound of acknowledgement as he changed directions and headed towards Africa. Yellow Falcon knew that among the few of them, Black Falcon’s martial arts was the best and having him protect the overlord was better than him doing it, and so, he contacted Black Falcon without another word.

Li Xin, whose body was starting to hurt less, sat beside Qi Mo. She looked at Qi Mo’s cool eyes with her doubt in her eyes. Was she going too? She didn’t know how to fight and her talent was also especially rotten, what could she do there? Deliver food straight to the aboriginals?

Africa, Kaipur Mountains. One immediately knew that it was some backward, desolate land as soon as they heard it.

Before she could even say anything, Qi Mo’s cold crisp voice said, “You’ll be wherever I am.”

Li Xin instantly bowed her head with eyes full of remorse. Had she known earlier then she wouldn’t have said those words. She looked to the side to see the blue skies outside the windows. Africa, cannibalistic tribes, and radioactive Technetium ore; her future was a piece of darkness ah.
