A month before Leo arrived in Mexico City, Shadow, Anna, and the rest came in Lankani City. They were surprised when the City welcomed them with open arms especially when they saw Leo's aircraft. Many people ran over to welcome back the city council member.

Exiting the ships, the guards were surprised they didn't see Leo at all.

A mermanian stepped forward and asked, "excuse me, is the owner of that airship not with you."

Anna looking behind noticed they were pointing at the ship and knew they were looking for Leo. Anna turned around and responded with, "no, Leo chose to leave us." She sighed and looked at the mermanian.

Ab-dab knew whatever happened, Leo told these people to come here. Being a council member's people and being a council member himself, he had to do right by these newcomers.

"Guards, show these newcomers to Council Member Leo's house. They will stay there until we find new accommodations for them." Ab-dab looked at the mixed-race babies with a curious look. He pulled his hand to his chin and scratched it for a second. "Also tell maidens we have new babies in the city."

The guards nodded their heads and left. Anna and Shadow followed the guard to the new place they would be staying.

Ab-dab picked up a communication device. "Aarav, people who last saw Leo has arrived in the city. They are headed to Leo's old home."

"Thank you for letting me know."

Ab-dab stood for a second and thought so much happens around this one human. He looked up and hoped Leo was doing well wherever he was.

On the south side of town, the group just walked up when they saw three humans waiting for them. One of them was a blonde haired girl with an agitated face. She looked like she was waiting on them to kill the group.

In contrast next to her were two men. One was a man wearing a broad smile. The people of the city knew him as Leo's replacement council member, Aarav Kumar. The man next to him was the dark-skinned fellow known as the Dark Knight, Paulus.

"I know you guys traveled far, but may we get a moment of your time?"

Shadow looked at the angry human and knew something was off. Why were they waiting for them to arrive?

"Anna back up," Shadow said. Getting ready to fight, the guard of the city interjected.

"If you don't want to be punished. No fighting within the city limits, unless you are at the arena." The guard walked right past the three humans unlocked the door and motioned them to come inside.

Seeing the people decide to ignore them, Lucy got angry, and the air started to heat up. Shadow extended her claws. She was infuriated this human had the gall to intimidate her.

"Ladies calm down."

"Aarav shut up! I don't like the way you, Beastman, ignored us after we were so nice. I challenge you in the arena. If I win you and your group of filthy beastmen will tell me where Leo is."

Did she call me filthy? "You're on, human."

Anna and Aarav wanted to stop the two of them, but somethings couldn't be stopped once started. They asked the guard to take them to the arena. Seeing as both of them are Core Builders the guard just shut up and marched them there.

Anna told Goblin and Mouse to get everyone situated, and she would follow the other two humans to the arena.

"I'm sorry for Shadow's temper, but that girl shouldn't threaten everyone she sees," Anna tried to explain.

Aarav looked at her and said, "she's in love with Leo and thinks you guys did something to him."

That one sentence hit her like a tone of bricks. No wonder this girl has gone crazy. I have to let her know we didn't do anything to Leo.

"Shadow this is all a misunder..." before she could finish, Shadow shot her a look that told her it didn't matter. Anna was very familiar with that look. It was the same one Lycan used to use.

When they got to the arena, Sly came out to meet them. Any time a council member was on the way he would rush down.

The guard told Sly the two women wanted to duel. He agreed to it after seeing Aarav nod his head. Sly bid the guard goodbye and had his attendant beastman show the women to the arena. Anna, Aarav, and Paulus were taken to the top seats were Sly usually sits and announces.

The two women came face to face. Lucy activated her mana, and the spear appeared in her hands.

Shadow, on the other hand, decided to put on some arm guards the beastman suggest she use.

Sly looked at this party of people and then looked down. Seeing the girls were ready to fight, he said, "Ready...Fight."

Shadow activated Shadow Walk and sped off circling Lucy. Lucy erected a wind barrier and waited for Shadow to attack.

Sly asked, "who do you think is going to win?"

Aarav looked down and was surprised, the mana coming off of Shadow told him she was a peak Core Builder. Knowing this, Aarav didn't know who would win.

Anna interjected and said, "two women one fighting for love and the other honor. I hope they don't kill each other." Being a woman herself and knowing Shadow pretty well Anna was anxious.

A flash of Samantha came to her mind, and she frowned. What would she have done if she found out Leo had another woman? Anna thought for a second, and the answer came to her in almost Samantha's voice.

"It doesn't matter. I still love him..."

Anna clutched her chest and told herself she must stop this fight before it gets too out of control. Leo wouldn't want those who cared about him fighting.

Paulus being in the Core Builder realm himself was very interested in the fight. He and Martta always wanted to spar with Lucy, but never get the chance.

"Lunar Strike!"
