Their journey towards the apartment was a quiet one. There weren't many obstacles in their path so they made it over there relatively quickly. What was quite curious though was that there wasn't a single zombie in sight.

Perhaps it was some sort of foreshadowing for what was to come but Haven welcomed the change from the constant in and out fighting that had been going on over the past two days. Unfortunately Haven knew why there was a relative lack of the presence of the dead.

The main contributing factor was that there was much more activity at the bridges. The people trying to evacuate and the people protesting were making noise and complaining their lives away to any who would listen to them.

Due to these disturbances, the zombies must have been attracted over towards the noise and population of food at the bridges out of the city. The police quarantining the area could handle the regular zombies no problem as their physical abilities weren't even worth mentioning. A smart kid of the age of 10 wouldn't have a problem taking on one, himself.

No, the regular zombies weren't even close to posing a problem to the police. What Haven was truly worried about were the mutant ones. The runners and the Evolved. The runners, in addition to being both fast and very agile, as seen from earlier when they chased down the trio, they also had the advantage of sight.

It wasn't possible to just outright trick them by making noise at a certain area and waiting for them to investigate. They could see their prey, and they could hunt them as well. A fit human without training wouldn't even pose an inkling of a chance against them, much less the average person. Which was why Haven was worried.

The first time he fought a runner, was at the tunnel when they were first separated from the group. It's speed and strength overwhelmed him completely, managing to pin Takashi down before they could even react.

If it wasn't for the timely breakthrough in mental stats, he doubted he would still be standing here, alive and well. It still wasn't enough though. If he had to fight another one like it, he would probably only barely be able to come out on top. That was with the help from both Rei and Takashi.

During the incident in the gas station, things changed. When his physical abilities broke through their limit, everything transformed. He felt faster, way stronger than before and way more healthier. It was really hard to explain but enhancing stats really did change the amount of power your body possessed.

If I had to make a guess, Haven would probably be able take on two of these Runners at the same time, in a melee battle, of course. It was a completely different scenario if he had guns.

However, forgetting about that for a moment, the regular human wouldn't be able to do a thing if a runner were to catch sight of them. Assuming of course, that they had no guns.

This was very worrying due to the runners not even being the strongest zombie type out there.

Unfortunately that title belonged to a different breed.

The Evolved.

My inner thoughts were halted as we arrived at Ms. Shizuka's friend's apartment. It's magnificence was quite a sight to behold, having a nice balcony for recon and it she said that it even had a plethora of food for all of us to consume.

Girls apartments were really nice huh?

Before we could enter, however, we noticed a few zombies hanging around the plot of land. Unwanting to take any risks, Yukio killed all of them off with his gun which he pulled out from his back pocket.

When Haven asked him if the handgun had any special upgrades, he laughed and started explaining.

.

.

Yukio: I realize that there are still things you don't particularly understand about God's dimension. Let me explain. In the hub world, when I say you can literally exchange points into anything that catches your fancy, I wasn't joking. All you need is a sufficient capital do so, that's all. As for me? I exchanged for two guns which hold infinite ammo and have a slight magic property in their bullets. The magic property allows me to hurt non corporeal beings like ghosts or the like.

Jax: Infinite ammo?

.

.

He nodded, then pointed towards his handgun.

.

.

Yukio: Sort of... it's more like a discounted version of having infinite ammo. Take for example this weapon here, although It does have infinite ammo, I have to pull out the clip inside and reinsert it for the ammo to refill once more. That's why im calling it infinite. There is unfortunately a slight problem though. I cant remove the bullets from the clip to keep in my hammer space. So yeah... that's one limitation.

Izumi: Still, infinite ammo is indeed very useful to have.

Haven: It sure it. Remind me to get one when we finish this mission.

Yukio: Heh, sure. Survive first, then we'll see.

Jax:(Resolved) We have only a day left. We'll survive.

Izumi: (worried) I hope so.

.

.

Yukio nodded to show he was looking forward to our cooperation. He lead the group into it to make sure there weren't any zombies hiding within.

As soon as the way was clear, everyone started to unpack any belongings they had and made idle conversation. The girls had the first use of the washroom as many of them felt unclean with their current conditions.

The men complied easily, opting to take first watch over the surrounding area using the balcony. Seeing as how the main characters would be busy with their own issues at the moment, Haven decided to consult Yukio more about the zombies.

He wondered if Yukio had encountered an Evolved one while protecting the group from the shadows. There was bound to be something interesting that we could use from the information.

Jax, overhearing the topic of our conversation, came over to listen as well.

.

.

Yukio: Evolved ones huh? Yeah... they're pretty strong.

Haven: You fought one? Can you describe its abilities to me?

.

.

Yukio stared into Haven's eyes for a moment, seemingly searching for something. Apparently he found what he was looking for when he sighed and raised his finger into the air.

.

.

Yukio: First, let me explain a bit more about God's dimension. I realize that my explanation before to the newbies was quite limited. God's dimension has various categories for exchanging. There you can buy special abilities such as super-speed, super strength and even bloodlines, like Hulk or becoming a werewolf. In addition to that, Sci-fi weapons and magic weapons can also be exchanged, not to mention, magic powers.

Jax: Why are you explaining things once more?

Haven: It's because he only opted to explain the minimum amount for him to acquire the rewards. He couldn't have cared less if we didn't know much. Now, he's about to explain in detail what we can actually get.

Jax: ...Seriously?

Yukio: (sighing) Yeah, I wont deny it. In any case, I feel like you might survive this scenario after all. If we're going to be comrades, I might as well tell you a bit more about the exchange system, eh?

Haven: I understand.

Jax: ...Sure. Whatever man.

Yukio: As I was saying earlier, you can exchange for a lot of things in God's dimension. Almost anything is possible. Unfortunately however, you also need corresponding ranked rewards.

Jax: Ranked rewards? What do you mean?

Yukio: Ranked rewards are usually given out when you complete special missions. Specifically, Hidden Missions.

Jax: Hidden missions?

Yukio: It's exactly as it sounds. Hidden missions aren't registered on the watch. They only activate when special requirements are met.

Jax: So what do they provide, then?

Yukio: Well... depending on the scale of difficulty a hidden mission is, the rewards change. Ranked rewards fall under letter categories. From the lowest to the highest. The order is D,C,B,A,S. If you gather 3 D rank rewards, you can exchange it for a C rank one and likewise if you gather 3 C rank ones, you can exchange it for a B rank one. This works till A rank, which means 3 A rank ones can't be exchanged into S ranked ones.

Jax: Why's that?

Yukio: ...The S rank ones are very, very hard. It's rated that high because it's deemed impossible by God, for you to complete. Mere A rank rewards exchanging for an S rank? Impossible.

Jax: Then what the f*ck is the point of even making it available?

.

.

Yukio sighed. A hint of sadness flashed across his face before it was squashed down. It seemed like he had very bad memories regarding the S rank reward topic. I wonder what his story was.

It seemed like he didn't wan't to explain any more about S rank rewards so Haven took over for the moment. Haven had a rudimentary understanding of what God's dimension was due to my influence but he had to be careful not to reveal his knowledge.

.

.

Haven: I think... I can answer that. Looking at it from the perspective of ranked rewards, the higher they are, most likely you're able to exchange for something equally as high. As for S rank rewards... If they are deemed impossible to get... wouldn't that mean that whatever they exchange into are so abnormally powerful that they would even defy the very existence of God's dimension.

Yukio: Heh, I was right. You're really a lot smarter than you look.

Haven: ...I'll take that as a compliment.

Jax: Something that would defy the existence of God's Domain?

Yukio: Yeah. Haven hit the nail right on the head. S rank rewards can exchange into something absolutely crazy.

Jax: Well? What is it?

Yukio: Divinity.

.

.

Those words resonated with me. Perhaps it was the way he said it, or how he explained it. But I knew... It was just much more than that.

Divinity.

Godhood was exchangeable.

.

.

Haven: That's... it doesn't even...

Yukio: I know. Sigh. Lets forget about that for now though.

Jax: Forget about it?! It's Divinity we're talking about! What kind on existence can grant that power on a whim?

Yukio: Calm down. I told you, It's impossible anyway.

Jax: But-

Haven: Shut up. Let him continue.

Jax: Alright! Fine.

Yukio: Thank you. Now, lets talk about stats. Every person in God's dimension has the ability to upgrade their physical and mental prowess by a large margin. There are six stats altogether. Intelligence, Mental Capacity, Cell Vitality, Reaction Speed, Muscle Density and Immunization Strength. A regular human has an average of 100 in each of these categories.

Haven: What is the maximum amount of stats?

Yukio: There is only a limit for regular people. The peak that a human can achieve without using the God's system is 150 in every stat.

Haven: I see.

Yukio: That's not all. Every 10 points can be exchanged for an increase of 1 in each stat. In addition to that, some bloodlines are able to provide you with an increase in Stats as well. I haven't truly explored the system due to how huge it is, but I can say for certain that it contains things you would never expect.

Jax: (muttering)Hm... is it possible?

Haven: What?

Jax: If your stats are high enough, can you become immortal?

Yukio: Hahaha! Perhaps so. I can't say for sure but you might just come very close. In any case, You asked about the evolved zombies earlier.

Haven: Yes.

Yukio: Lets put things in perspective. If we look at their stats using God's dimension, The Evolved ones would have physical stats high up in the 500's.

Haven: ...Shit.

.

.

Well now. THAT was going to be a problem.
