When the world was created, the creator of the world had two friends. A dragon whose body was as powerful as all of the stars and the planets, and a phoenix who's strength was as vast as space itself. The two friends were old and nearing death. Their last request to their friend was a simple one, "Let's create something grand together one last time." And with sadness in his heart, he accepted their request.

He watched dragon as it rolled up into a ball for its final "slumber". Its heart became a core, its scales became land, its spit became the oceans, and from its flesh came a multitude of shapes that were personally sculpted by its master. The phoenix flew overs to its partner and best friend. It placed its body over the rolled up dragon and its body also transformed.

The phoenix never touched the dragon, instead it stayed afloat and its heart flew out of its chest and burned with a never ending flame. The eyes merged into one and became a large, round object that left its head and orbited the dragon's body. The phoenix's body turned blue and white puffs appeared from somewhere within its body. Inside of the phoenix was a powerful power. As a phoenix it contained the aura of life itself. But since it chose this fate, it decided to release the last of its power and its maste took this and placed it into the shaped he had formed from the dragon's body.

As soon as the power made contact with the shape, they all came to life. More time passed as the master watched over his creation. He saw them fall only to rise up again and advance. He saw many of them die from other beast and many others die from their own kind. Some would achieve great thing, others failures, and some would become their definition of 'evil'.

Suddenly, an interesting thought occurred in the creator's mind. Within his hands where two objects. Glowing spheres that were as smooth as glass. One was cold to the touch and pulsated as if it was a beating heart. The other was incredibly warm but it released a feeling of life, as if something inside of it was living. His knowledge was infinite and he knew everything...well almost everything. These two objects where something he didn't know about and they came from his fallen comrades. The man had a wonderful idea. What would happen if he sent these two orbs into the world?

Another thought appeared soon afterwords. This idea was so interesting that it made him give off a toothy grin. He felt as if he was a million year old child again!

After he sent the two orbs down, he still felt as if there was one more thing that he could do. He reached behind him where a sort of large, several layered halo ring was floating. He reached out and plucked two of the smallest rings from the entire halo and threw them down to the planet as well.

"I wonder what the person, whose fate is connected to these object, is like?" And with that sentenced he closed his eyes to rest while awaiting for something interesting to happen.

Methine Braedon, or Braedon for short is actually a very normal person. Despite his... strange name, he is a very kind hearted, charismatic man. Of course his name is the subject of many jokes, but he doesn't really mind them that much. Braedon woke up one morning and prepared himself for his classes.

He got dressed and jogged for awhile before taking a shower. As he got out, he looked himself in the mirror and brushed aside his short brown hair. While he wasn't the strongman type, he did have some toned muscles. His clear brown eyes, sharp facial features, and tall stature gave him quite the handsome appearance. And of course his dazzling smile gave people a "What a friendly guy" feeling.

He prepared himself for his classes while leaving his house. When he was walking on the street, a strange sensation kept tingling on the back of his neck. He tried to shake it off, but the feeling only got stronger. All of a sudden a loud honking noise blasted in his ears and he quickly jumped out of the way of a moving vehicle. "Holy-" Braedon said as he broke out into a cold sweat from the close encounter. He ran to the other side of the street and slapped his face a few times to attempt to remove the tingling. Surprisingly, the tingling did stopped and he started to quickly move toward his destination again.

The driver of the car that passed by Braedon looked back through a mirror and thought to himself, "People these day..." and a bright light enveloped the man while he looked to some sort of sword at his side, then he and the car suddenly disappeared.

Braedon finally got to his class just in time and took his seat next to a few of his friends. Sitting to his right was Zan Fu, Braedon's good...friend? They have known each other for a few years and were partners in crime. Actually, it was more like the criminal was Zan Fu but he somehow always implicated Braedon into his troubles.

He was actually given the nickname "Team Killer" for a while thanks to this. To his right was his other good friend Xiao Hagen. He was a very tall, with curly black hair, and bulging muscles. His appearance suggested that he was an testosterone fueled, muscle crazy guy who injected pure adrenaline into his veins, although he was not! They were great pals and unlike Zan Fu, Xiao Hagen wasn't really the type of person who caused trouble for others and was quite smart.

Zan Fu was talking about an event that happened a few days ago, "I heard that it was some sort of meteor that killed him, apparently the guy and his friends were exploring the crater of a meteor that crashed into the earth and they were unlucky enough to have another one come flying their way! It must suck being the only one who died though, since the rock was quite small."

From what Braedon heard, apparently someone got his head smashed in by a tiny meteorite and died from blood loss on the spot. It was an unfortunate accident, but there was nothing that could be done. As the day passed by, he met a few more of his classmates until finally he finished his classes for the day.

He started to slowly walk home until all of a sudden, he felt faint. He collapsed onto the ground, shut his eyes, and grabbed his head in pain. He kept hearing a loud ringing banging in his head. He started to smack at his temples, but it didn't help. Suddenly, he opened his eyes and all he saw was an area filled with large amounts of abandoned buildings.

It looked very familiar and the more he looked around, the more he recognized the area. It was a few hours away from where he lived, and very few people ever visited it. Some say that it is a haunted area, while others say that people have seen spirits floating around.

It is an area where demons and monsters from legends are said to appear from. Braedon personally didn't believe in these stories and he wasn't really afraid. While he was looking around, he noticed that the pain and ringing in his head had finally stopped. Although this only lasted for a few minutes, it felt like hours to Braedon. The buildings and land started to become blurry and fade away as his vision became black.

Braedon slowly opened his eyes to find some strangers just staring at him with a strange look in there eyes. He started to get up but as soon as he did the people around started to move away and whisper among themselves, "He is probably some sort of addict, let's just avoid him..."

Braedon "..."

He quickly moved along and tried to ignore the stares that were directed at him. After walking for a few minutes, he stopped and changed directions. For some inexplicable reason, Braedon had the sudden urge to go to the abandon area. He felt as if he might find something interesting there.

~~~~~~~~~~
In a protected space at the center of the abandoned area, a man drew his sword from its scabbard.
"How unfortunate, I arrived here first!" The man stepped forward from the car and faced his opposition a few meters away from him. He pulled out his sword and thin layer of power surrounded the blade and bent the space around it.
The man's opponent sneered at him and drew out his blade, "Someone like you dares to face my saber head on?" The man slashed down at the sword and a resounding -boom- sounded out. Both of them were pushed back a few meters, but they recollected themselves and charged at each other once more.
Their weapons clashed together several times and it caused the landscape around them to crack and break. Of course, no innocent people would be harmed since they set up a barrier, not that there were any people nearby to begin with.
The two flew around the buildings and even rose up high enough into the sky that if any planes were around, it was possible for them to crash into one another. The speed of the battle slowly increased until it was impossible for the average human to see. Even the above average would have trouble telling what was happening.
Both the blade and the sword started to glow as both of the men raised them over their heads.
"BREAK!"
"SLAY!"
Two beams of light shot out from the weapons and created a huge explosion. The blast decimated their defenses and shot both of them into the ground.
Two large craters were formed due to their collision with the earth. From one of the craters, the man with the saber slowly crawled out of it. He was missing one of his arms and a part of his side was gone.
"Serves you right!" The man laughed out as he spat in the direction of the second crater. As he turned around and started to head in the direction of the mysterious treasure they were fighting over, he heard a voice behind him.
"It's not over yet." The man turned around to see, the man with the sword floating out of his crater. "B-but how?" The bladesman was completely dumbfounded.
"F*ck you that's how!" Unlike the bladesman, the swordsman was not missing any arms. Unfortunately he was missing both of his legs. He looked at the bladesman with hatred in his eyes, "You will not leave this place alive!" And they continued their battle.
A few hours later Braedon finally made it to the abandoned area. It wasn't anything impressive. The land was dry and arid, the buildings were old and some of them had even collapsed. There were no living animals around, and Braedon even found a small dead creature not too far away. The earth looked red and it was extremely hot, as if the place was a desert. If he listened closely, the dry winds sounded as if they were the moans of some sort of spirit. Braedon shook his head and removed those thoughts from his mind.
The entire area was desolate and it had a sinister feel to it. He looked around at the landscape before him and felt a strange attraction to it. While Braedon was walking forward, he felt as if there was something in front of him. It was as if there was some sort of barrier keeping him out of a dungeon in a video game.
Sweat started to form on his brow, but he kept walking on ignoring the tiredness he felt. The further he got the harder it became, until finally Braedon reached his limit and was about to collapse. Suddenly the pressure faded away, it felt as if a thousand pound was just lifted off his shoulders. He took a few minutes to catch his breath and then he moved forward again.
Braedon didn't go far since he soon fell into a pit after talking less than ten steps. It wasn't that deep but it hurt to fall into face first. Braedon climbed out of the pit, dust covering his face and clothing, "Where did something like this come from?" He didn't remember ever seeing something like this while he was walking further back.
Braedon, "I guess I'll have to be more careful."
He kept his eyes scanning the ground while he walked, being cautious of any pits that might suddenly appear again. If Braedon would've looked around him instead of looking down, he would've noticed that there were several dozen pits all around him and not just in front of him.
~~~~~~~~~~

The swordsman looked at the corpse of the bladesman in front of him, "Hahahahaha! In the end I win." In front of him was an orb, it was as beautiful as a gem and shined with a holy radiance. The orb was red and gave off a powerful aura of life.

The swordsman reached out his hand and attempted to claim the object for himself. "It is finally mine! At long last!" But before he could get any closer, he clutched at his chest, kneeled down, and started to die. A needle was sticking in the back of his neck and on it was lethal poison that the bladesman placed on him before he died.. "NO! I was so close! So close..."

The orb just floated their until the final breath of life was taken from the swordsman. Only then did it start to take action. "Confirmed,: two entities, life force: zero, skill level: 5.5, legacy: Phoenix Aura and Dragon Might. Decision made, destroy and absorb nutrients and await new master, action commence in 3...2...1..."

The orb floated over to the two corpses. A bright light came from the orb and shined over the corpses. The two bodies started to break down and eventually they became only dust that was sucked into the orb. It started to spin in place and all of the pits and buildings destroyed by the battle nearby started to repair themselves.

"Reloading area and scanning data, confirmed one entity approaching. Estimated time before arrival: 20 minutes, scanning of legacies complete, combination probability : 79.39012% successful, extracting self obtained knowledge. Combining probability: 87.913%, new objective gained: attempt combination of legacy. Combining of legacies beginning... combining success, level five legacy 'Phoenix Might' gained, cultivation level: six, battle technique count: one, continuing standby phase." The orb slowly stopped spinning and just lifelessly plopped to the floor as if it was just a normal ball.

Braedon noticed that there were no more pits in the direction he was walking. After his first fall, he needed to walk around five other gigantic holes in the ground but oddly enough if he looked back they all suddenly disappeared. This worried him a little since he was sure that there were holes behind him.

"Am I going crazy, or maybe I was just imagining things due to some weird paranoia? Maybe I have a secret fear of holes?"

He was sure that ghost probably didn't exist...right? The strange feeling he had kept dragging him to an old dilapidated building. It was missing its door, the walls were cracked, and it had wooden floors that creaked and screamed with every step he took.

The place seemed so weak that if he knocked on the wall, a new hole might form immediately. Of course he didn't try it. The interior and exterior made the building look like a haunted mansion.

Braedon entered a few of the rooms to explore. For some strange reason he knew exactly what each room was used for, from the kitchen to the bedroom he knew exactly where each room was and it's usage. He understood that it was probably from the strange vision he had on the street.

The more he thought of it, the more he realized that the vision looked as if it at the point of view of something looking out the window on the second floor of this building. He quickly found the stairs and carefully crawled up them for fear that they might collapse.

When he finally reached the second floor, he spotted something strange. A red orb that was placed next to the window of the building. It was very shiny and plain with no designs or decorations, but it had a strange aura around it that made it look incredibly attractive.

It looked like something that fell from heaven.

The first thought Braedon had in his mind was, "How much money could I get this for." Of course this was only a brief thought that quickly left his mind. "This probably belongs to somebody, I should leave it here for them."

Of course everybody loves money, but it wasn't some he desperately needed at the moment. Thanks to this, the idea of stealing the orb didn't cross his mind again.

"At the very least I should move it somewhere a bit safer, right?"

Braedon only planned to place it a bit further away from the window, but as soon as he touched the orb he felt a sharp sensation flow up his arm. It was as if he was suddenly shocked with an electrical wire. A sudden burst of pain exploded in his head and his vision started to blur.

His last thought before he passed out once more was simply two words, "Not again!"

As soon as Braedon's consciousness left him, a bright light shined out from his body and flew into the air. A pillar of flame blazed from above and gave off several powerful burst of heat. It was almost invisible to the naked eye, except to a few people.

~~~~~~~~~~
Through the void of space on a meteor far away, a single man looked out to the distance. He slowly stood up from his resting position and squatted down, "Found it." He pushed out and the meteor he stood on was instantly pulverized. He shot out at speeds that should not have been physically possible.
He traveled continuously toward his goal, a single planet called earth. While on earth, several other old and young men and women around the world looked to the skies. A fiery pillar, unnoticed by the people around them, shined as bright as a star. Each and every one of these men and had the same reaction.
Every single one of them trembled in fear. With eyes downcast they all understood what was happening. Something had just been born, something that was terrifying.
Braedon woke up in front of his own house. He stared at the door confused. He didn't remember how he got here or what happened after he had a terrible headache that made him pass out.
"Did I sleepwalk all the way over here?" He didn't remember anything at all. All Braedon knew was that his head was throbbing and he wanted to take a nap. He pulled out the key to the door from his pockets and slowly opened up to complete darkness.
As Braedon walked in, the lights suddenly turned on and a large group of people jumped out yelling, "SURPRISE!"
It took him a second to realize what was happening. He somehow forgot that it was his birthday. The headache and the strange vision from the day left him, as he decided to have some fun.
They celebrated with some games, had a few drinks, talked with one another, and eventually Braedon saw everyone out. He was in a very cheerful mood and decided to quickly take a bath and finally rest. As he walked to his bed, he noticed a strange box placed at the foot of it.
It seemed to be a present from Zan Fu. Braedon decided to open it the next morning and he floated off into slumber.
While Braedon quietly slept, the orb floated out from his chest and flew over to the box, inside was a stone. Next to the stone was a note, "It is said that this stone brings good luck, it was also super cheap so I figured it would make a great gift :P!"
The orb scanned the box, dissolved it, and absorbed it as well. It returned to Braedon and quietly said to itself, "System activate."
