Braedon opened his eyes slowly and looked carefully at the object in his hand. It pulsated in tune with his heartbeat. The more Braedon held it, the more powerful he became. It was like he was some sort of machine that was being charged with an infinite supply of batteries.

"Unlimited Power!"

As he cringed to himself, Kai Jun walked up behind him suddenly. "Looks like it was a success." A bright smile formed across his face as he stared at the feather, "One step closer to the end."

Braedon looked at him with annoyance in his eyes, "Don't say that like I'm going to die or something." Kai Jun just ignored him while going into the cabin in search of something. He came back out a few minutes later with a sword in hand.

"Braedon, come at me. Let's see how strong that feather really is." He raised the sword in his hand and released a frightening aura. Braedon watched this calmly as he lifted up his leg and thrusted it down.

He launched himself forward, feather in hand, and thrusted it forward. Kai Jun spun around and swiftly dodged the tip of the feather. Although they didn't make contact with one another, the clothing on his body was singed.

He jammed his sword into the ground and fling dirt up into Braedon's eyes. While he was blinded, Kai Jun jumped into the air and slashed down vertically toward Braedon's head.

But before he could do any damage, the feather was brought up over his target blocking the strike. Braedon used all of his strength to push back and throw Kai Jun away. Kai Jun was very impressed because Braedon didn't use his eyes to block him thanks to the sand.

Instead he focused his sense of hearing and listened for the sound of the blade cutting through the air. With that he instinctively blocked it and knocked him away.

"Very impressive Braedon, where did you learn to do something like that?"

Braedon stayed silent while placing his other hand upon the quill of the feather. That hand too was burned off and regenerated several times before being stopping completely. He raised it up over his head vertically and took a deep breath in.

The feather began to illuminate with a golden glow and the air around it started to distort. As the feather grew brighter so did the smile plastered onto Kai Jun's face. This was because he was feeling an emotion from this that hadn't felt in a long time, fear.

Braedon swiped down with all of his might in Kai Jun's direction and a large beam of fire bursted from the feather.

It charged at him at incredible speeds and the area surrounding the attack was burnt to a crisp. As it came closer, Kai Jun raised up his blade and pointed it at the wave rushing at him. "Disperse." With a single word the sword in his hand became a fine power and floated off into the wind, and the fire tsunami exploded suddenly.

It became particles of light floating in the wind, like snow in a cold day. As the particles floated down, Kai Jun walked up to Braedon, "That was incredible! It's only been a few minutes yet you've already mastered the feather to such an extent-" as he said this, Braedon's legs collapsed and he fell face first onto the ground.

"~sigh~ what am I going to do with you." He lifted Braedon up and placed him over his shoulder. Afterwords they entered into the cabin where Braedon slept for a week.

After the week was up, a young groggy man woke up from a wonderful dream. A dream where he didn't have to fight hundreds of rhinoceroses and dozens of snakes, sadly all dreams must come to an end.

He looked around at his surroundings and tried to stand himself up. His legs wouldn't follow his direction as they tried, and failed, to hold him up. Braedon was about to fall down once more until a hand grabbed him and lifted him up by the arm.

"You need to be more careful, you haven't walked in over a week so let yourself readjust first."

"This doesn't make any sense, if I'm technically just a ghost, then why do s things like that affect me."

Braedon stretched out his arms as Kai Jun whispered to him, "It is time to some serpent slaying."

Zan Fu woke up with his head in Shu Rong's lap. He quickly jumped up in fright as he looked at the person beside him. Shu Rong looked somoletely normal and no strange thought appeared in his head. "Hi, Shu Rong." When he was finally able to calm down, he greeted the person before him.

When he asked what happened, Shu Rong explained as much as he possibly could. Apparently, he heard some strange sounds coming from this room and came here to investigate. He found Zan Fu training all by himself and suddenly collapse from what seemed like exhaustion.

Shu Ring decided to stay here and watch over him until he woke up, just in case anything happened and he wasn't there to see it.

Zan Fu didn't remember much of what happened, but the memories were slowly returning to him. Everything seemed to match up with what he said

He walked around the training room and found his giant sword laying on the ground. Apparently he had only passed out for half an hour. "Shu Rong... thanks for taking care of me. You don't need to stick around, I feel better now." He lifted up the giant sword into his hand.

Shu Rong worriedly watched him lift up the incredibly large weapon, "Are you still going to continue training. I don't think even you could survive that much stress to your body!"

Zan Fu shook his head, "No I am not continuing." He swung the blade forward and the sword broke into dozens of metal chunks. "It looks like my training was too stressful on the blade and its infrastructure was completely demolished."

As he said this, Zan Fu unleashed a small part of his cultivation. His aura was powerful and all who were around found it hard to breathe due to the pressure.

But more importantly at the exact same moment, Braedon stood in the middle of the group of snakes and released his own aura.

Zan Fu's power was brutal and commanding like a tyrannical deity while Braedon's power was overwhelming and vast like an all-knowing god. And no one around them could see what was forming behind them.

Floating there unseen to all was the ghost like avatar of a dragon and a phoenix.
