Zan Fu walked up to the only man left standing with a muderous look on his face. "If you wanted to kill my friend, you should've finished the job a bit earlier ."

The man, Ni Hai, saw Zan Fu step out of nowhere and he fearfully began to back away from him, "That sounds a bit cruel, you are quite ruthless even to your own friends aren't you?" His voice sounded calm and collected but in reality he was trying to buy time.

The boy in front of him appeared suddenly out of nowhere and Ni Hai was hoping that Li Ruo and the others just lost sight of him and they would quickly arrive to assist him. But this hope disappeared at Zan Fu's next words.

"Are you waiting for your friends? Don't worry, you'll be able to meet with them very soon." A cold sweat formed on Ni Hai's forehead as fear began to overtake his heart.

Usually, even in a hopeless situation, he would've been able to keep his calm and accepted his death but for some reason the aura that was being released from Zan Fu's body was causing his emotions to go wild.

Ni Hai couldn't help but feel his heart tighten as the boy in front of him got closer and closer. Finally he brought out his lance and thrusted it forward when Zan Fu entered his attack range and used all of his strength in the attack.

The strike caused the ground to split in half as a wide cavern form, but he dust also blew up causing his vision of Zan Fu to disappear. He didn't know what happened to him, but what he did know was that there was little to no resistance in his attack.

Which meant only one thing. He had failed. A shadow flew overhead above him and Ni Hai looked up only to see two large fingers enter into his eyes and pierce through his skull. He felt no pain when facing his end, but he did regret never being able to get himself a girlfriend.

Damn fu looked at the dirty job he just completed and closed his eyes solemnly. He knew that what he just did was a little strange. He was much more cruel and bloodthirsty than usual. It was almost as if his personality completely changed into someone else and he was pretty sure that he knew the reason why this was happening.

"You did very well child." A rough and scratchy voice whispered into his ears like a demon sitting on his shoulders. The voice was full of malevolent intent and was clearly not on his side.

"Shit up?" Zan Fu ignored the voice completely and ran up to Shu Rong to check up on his condition. He had lost a lot of blood and her breathing was faint. If Zan Fu didn't do something quickly, he wasn't sure if he would make it.

His first instinct was to try and use his own "heaven's force" to close Shu Rong's sounds, but he realized that he had none to use. He attempted to use the blue energy in place of "heaven's force" but it did almost nothing.

Zan Fu was running out of options and Shu Rong was running out of time. Then an idea struck him. He summoned the claw to his hand and brought out its power. He basically turned himself into a beacon for a certain someone to notice.

Soon after, Drodon appeared flying at high speeds toward them. "What's wrong?" If only took him a second to spot the problem, "Drodon, can you do anything to help?"

He said that he wasn't sure and was going to try anyway. Meanwhile, Zan Fu sat down and decided to talk to the voice in his head for a bit.

"Oh so now you wish to listen to me? Young man, I am touched."

"Enough with the bullshit, who are you and what do you want?" The voice had been inside of his head for a while now. Ever since Zan Fu woke up, he kept hearing it whisper to him how important he was. How it was his destiny to become a deity and how he should kill anyone who stood in his way.

Although Zan Fu didn't completely disagree with his statements, he still understood that what he said was a bit too much. Especially whenever he notices that his personality and actions have been getting more... dangerous.

Even during that battle when he was fighting, the voice kept telling him what to do and how to do something. In the end he killed his opponents, but this was his own choice. What wasn't his decision was the brutal way he killed each of them, he did unconsciously. And after seeing what his actions had caused, Zan Fu actually panicked inside a little bit.

He felt as if he was losing a bit of himself every time he killed someone in such a manner. This was because every death actually felt a little good, and Zan Fu knew that this wasn't a good sign for his state of mind. But he was able to calm himself down by figuring out that the real cause was the voice.

"Don be so digruntled, I am the being which you are destined to be with. Listen to my words and follow my orders, if you do so then I promise you that no one will be able to even touch you much less harm you."

Zan Fu ignored his sweet words and asked him directly, "What are you and tell me what you want or else."

"I am the god of dragons. My name is something that you do not need to know, boy. And if you want to know where I am then look at that claw in your hands, that right there is mine!"

Silence overcame Zan Fu as he absorbed what the voice just said, "Continue."

"In the beginning, a great creator forged the world from my body, that orb that floats beside you was something that lived inside of me. I cannot explain more than this, just understand that we are connected in many ways."

The voice went silent as if it was catching its breath and then continued, "You want to know what I want? It's simply to raise up my successor."

"You definitely want to take over my body after my power reaches a certain point. This is like one hundred percent." Zan Fu immediately stated his thoughts without a second of hesitation.

"Whaaaaaat...no why would you even think that hahahaha..." if the voice had a body, Zan Fu knew that he would be nervously wiping away his sweat.

"Look, I'm not an idiot. I have to already deal with one body snatching bastard and I'm not wasting my time with another. Leave me now and don't return or else I will destroy you." He couldn't take it anymore and said what was in his mind. Zan Fu couldn't trust things like this anymore, especially with what happened to Braedon.

"Zan Fu, I am not like that phoenix. Just listen to me, I really do not mean you any harm." The voice became very soft spoken and passive. It didn't have any of the original aggressiveness that it contained in the beginning and instead had a much more kind tone.

It was hard to explain, but this tone of voice made Zan Fu feel strange as if he could listen to it. But this didn't mean that he let his guard down, in fact his guard was raised even higher after this feeling took over him, "Fine, continue then."

"You've probably noticed that your personality has become more agressive and your first thought was definitely that it was my fault. Well you are right, but I am not doing this out of malevolence, I'm doing this to help you!"

The revelation was no surprise to Zan Fu as he suspected this all along, but he was very curious on how this change was "helping" him.

"You are using the power of the claw all wrong. You may have suspected this but I am a dragon, that claw that you hold is that of a dragon. The way I am helping you is through this, a dragon's power is mighty and overbearing. You have been using it as just a way to protect yourself and you friends but that it wrong! A dragon strikes against its enemies whether it is being threatened or not. It fights the good fight and doesn't stop until it's oppnent is finished."

The voice continued its speech while Zan Fu listened intently. "You need to feed that thing blood, for its power to grow! You've already tasted this before, when you killed a Gaian Worm and fought against an eighth realm Divinity, you felt the type of power that the claw can grant you. All I am here to do is lead you all the proper path."

"And what do you get out of this?"

"I want the Phoenix gone. He, like me, is nothing more than a relic of the past. The only reason he took over you friend's body was because he wanted a second chance at doing something that he failed at long ago. But this isn't how the order of the universe should be. The old must disappear for the new to prosper and that is my goal. Plus, something about the inheritor of the dragon orb becoming a new deity before the inheritor of the phoenix orb sounds quite satisfying."

Although Zan Fu didn't really understand what the voice meant about the phoenix orb, he could somehow tell that it wasn't lying. He didn't completely trust it, but he felt like it would be able to help him immensely, "Okay, then how are you going to help me?"

"Well first let's heal up your friend and I explain some more things to you at a later date."

Zan Fu listened to what the voice had to say and his face blanched in horror at its following words.

"You can't be serious, something like that..."

"It is the only way Zan Fu."
