Braedon shook his head forcefully n order to wake himself up. He looked up at the bright ball in the sky while covering his eyes from its burning splendor. As a loud yawn escaped his mouth, Braedon stretched out his arm to the sky as if he was trying to grab the sun.

"I'm so hungry!" He said loudly while bending his back backwards in order to look at Kai Jun upside down.

"The hunger is only a figment of your imagination, your current state makes it so that you have no need for food nor rest." Kai Jun blandly responded to his complaints without giving much thought to it.

Braedon couldn't accept this answer though, "But its like a force of habit! Like how in your world I ate all of those creature even when I didn't need to and I slept at night. I'm so used to it so I can't imagine myself not doing all of those things."

"Well normal cultivators sometime need to go months or even years without eating, so how about you suck it up and deal with it." A large vein was bursting out of Kai Jun's forehead as he became increasingly annoyed.

It was a funny reaction that Braedon couldn't help but always try to bring out of him. Although Kai Jun knew full well that Braedon was only acting, sometimes he couldn't help himself from stating his thoughts, "So are you ready to travel yet?"

"Pretty much, I understand the basics of flight at least." Braedon said this loosely as if he was talking about something trivial while Kai Jun muttered under his breath how unpromising that sounded.

Both he and Braedon summoned out their own weapons and placed them on the ground. Braedon was currently using his feather, since it was his bonded weapon, as a catalyst for his flying ride. Kai Jun was using a special sword that had its own personal flight functions but close to zero fighting capabilities.

The two people began to rise into the air and float off to the distance. While flying, Kai Jun would once in a while check up on Braedon's condition. "Is everything okay, I know that you are probably still a little woozy from our last battle."

After regaining his consciousness from the strange power that possessed him, he spent a few days screaming out in pain and seeing hallucinations. His body would even sometimes melt and reform before their very eyes, and Braedon had stated that it felt a million times worse than it looked.

After he was able to recover from the shock and recoil of the soul possession, Kai Jun noticed that he had finally somewhat learned how to use his newfound ability. While this was all as planned for him, Kai Jun was still surprised by how smooth everything was going.

After spending some time to convince Braedon that he would not have to suffer like he did the first time the blue energy was used, Kai Jun was finally able to see what power he had obtained.

It was the most useful ability, but it was honestly better than nothing. Also lucky for them, it was a power that Kai Jun was quite familiar with.

The eyes of heaven and earth, also known as the all seeing eyes. Their names brought a sense of omnipotence but it wasn't really that hat special. All it did was help Braedon comprehend, learn, unlock, or discover difficult to find or understand secrets. This also included techniques and hidden mechanisms found in puzzles and traps.

Basically eyes that could see through any tricks no matter what. They took a lot of energy out of him, but if used correctly it could be the turning point of a battle.

Imagine if two people were fighting each other. Each person used skills that the other had never seen before, they were evenly matched and for for days on end. Who would the winner be?

The answer is the person who discovers the weakness of their opponent first, these eyes can help the user to discover this weakness much faster than any genius. Of course if after the weakness is discovered and they can't do anything about it then the eyes are worthless, but other than that they are great!

They went to great lengths in order to check every nook and cranny of his eyes. The results are that Braedon can only use them at full power for ten seconds, half power for twenty, and oddly enough a quarter of the power for twenty-five seconds.

The math was a little off at the end and they didn't have enough control over the eyes to use only a more at less than those percentages. Twenty-five, fifty, and one hundred percent were Braedon's only settings.

"I'm okayuh, but honeshly everything just sheems sho shurreal. Lasht time I was awake, we were in a world controlled by monshter and the "heaven's force" found in the air was as abundant as the ocean, but now here everything is so calm and I feel ash if I'm shuffocating on how thin the power ish in the air here."

Braedon's answered was a little slurred, showing that the effects of the blue energy's recoil hasn't completely left him yet. If he spoke to anyone else, he would've sounded like a drunken fool mumbling about strange things that don't exist.

"Yet this is the truth, we returned to your world now and that friend of ours till has your body." Kai Jun said this while he kept facing forward as he and Braedon rode on their weapons like a surfboards.

As they floated by Braedon asked a serious question, "So what do we do now?"

"Right now, we need to find a way to collect a large amount of information about our little problem. The first rule that you must follow in any war, know they enemy. Once we obtain what we need then we strike like a snake patiently waiting for the right moment to devour its prey."

While Kai Jun answered this question, he noticed something strange down below them, "Hey, lets quickly land over in that area." He pointed at an alleyway that barely any civilians walked passed.

They floated down and walked over to the alleyway where Kai Jun began to touch the walls and sniff the air.

"Is something wrong?"

"Yeah." Just as he sniffed the air once more and placed his hand on a certain spot on the wall, a stream of light began to slowly wash over them. It didn't go far before dissipating into nothing. Braedon looked at the scene in surprise while Kai Jun lightly touched his chin and nodded.

"Just as I thought, someone had used a World Guarder here. Traces of its power can still be sensed and those lights assured my guess. Braedon, look around to see if you can spot something here that isn't normally visible."

Braedon nodded and a blue light shined within eyes. He looked around and saw a strange shape, like that of a man on the ground. It wasn't so strange except for the fact that it was missing its legs.

"A fight broke out here, although I'm not sure between who."

Braedon explained the details and Kai Jun asked for him to show where the body was. After inspecting it a little, he stood back up with a strange glint in his eyes.

"A small fragment of the phoenix's aura is right here. Good news, it seems that he has some people working for him and as long as we can find a few of them, they will lead us directly to him. Bad news, he has some people working under him and we don't know their numbers nor strength." Kai Jun laid down the news, that he inferred from the corpse, outright.

The two partners stood up from inspecting the corpse and nodded at each other, "Looks like we will be going on a man hunt."

"This ought to be fun, I haven't hunted down people like this since my last rampage all those years ago."

"I hope you don't rampage like you did back then, unlike you I live here!" The two friends chuckled as the brought out their weapons and prepared for flight, "This does bring up the question though, who killed these men in the first place."

"I don't know Braedon, but you know what they say. The enemy of my enemy..."

"...Is my friend."
