The scent of blood was strong in the air where Kai Jun stood. He sniffed at the air a few more times before nodding his head, turning left, and hopping onto a sword to fly over to where the source of the scent was coming from.

When he finally arrived, Kai Jun noticed that a trail of blood was splattered all over the place. When he followed it, the trail lead him to nowhere. Some paths would lead him in circles while others would bring him to a dead end.

After thinking about it for some time, Kai Jun finally understood what the problem was. It appeared that whoever left this trail of blood was moving in one direction then tracing his steps back in order to create a false trail for people to follow. This gave him the hint that whoever was spilling this blood, was attacked recently and nearby.

The reason why Kai Jun was currently following these strange trails of blood was due to the aura being given off by the droplets. There was a clear sense of "heaven's force" coming from the spilt blood. He could sense it from miles away and it made him curious as to what happened, so Kai Jun came to investigate the scene of the crime.

Kai Jun took in a deep breath and released the air from his mouth. He brought up his arm and waved it over his eyes for a second. Once his hand had passed over, his dark eyes had changed completely. Instead of the cool, mysterious gaze he usually had, Kai Jun's eyes now shined with an intense burning passion. His eyes were literally on fire.

This was an ability similar to Braedon's {Eyes of Heaven and Earth}. The only difference was that his eyes would only the truths about certain categories of things, spirits, techniques, and puzzles were part of the list of things that his eyes could not reveal the essence of.

They could only help him notice details that were more difficult for him to find normally. Of course they had another functions, but those were not needed by Kai Jun with what he was looking for.

His eyes scanned over the area quickly without blinking much and finally they found what he was looking for. One of the blood trails was a lot fresher than the others. This was most likely the path that the person, or thing, who was bleeding all of this out took.

He followed the trail quickly and finally found the the origin of all the blood. Laying down before him was the man who Kai Jun saw this afternoon when both he and Braedon went to the fortune telling shop to obtain info on the entity.

The man was missing one of his arms and his appearance was different at the moment than how it was a while ago. His life force as slowly draining out of his body and if nothing was done then the man would die in a few seconds.

"This ought to be quite the interesting tale." Kai Jun stretched his arms out and lifted the man onto his shoulders. He injected some of his own strength inti the man so that he would not die and brought from back over to the apartment while leaving no trace of his assistance behind.

Kai Jun didn't know who attacked this man, but he figured that he should be more cautious.

Once he reached the apartment, Kai Jun slid through the window that he originally used to escape. The man had lost his consciousness and was dropping down from Kai Jun's arms at the moment.

Braedon was sitting in the room, along with Jingyi Lei, watching TV when he had reentered the apartment. "What the-!?" The sight of a bloodiedup man being carried by Kai Jun gave Braedon a funny thought, "D-did you just beat up and kidnap a random guy?"

"Shut up, Braedon and help me get this guy in here!" Braedon got up and ran over to assist at Kai Jun's command and together they were able to succeed in making a mess on the carpet.

Kai Jun briefly scanned the body with his fiery eyes and saw the areas where the most blood was flowing from. It was from the missing arm, the giant gash in his side, and a stab wound in his stomach.

Braedon tried to direct some of his powers into the man at Kai Jun's request, but his attempts were less than successful. Instead, Kai Jun just told him to use the flames of the feather to close the wounds shut while hebhimself would focus on healing the man.

They decided to take this course of action and a loud scream could be heard from their clarion as Braedon burnt the man's flesh to a black crisp in order to stop the bleeding. Kai Jun did what he could to lessen the pain, but his healing abilities were not that great.

They could only burn the stab wound and the missing arm shut though. Kai Jun closed up the gash in the man's side by pulling out some of his known hair and using it to sew the injury close. Braedon was very grossed out by this and just looked at Kai Jun disgustingly while hoping that he didn't have lice.

The two people finally succeeded in saving the person's life but he still didn't wake up. Braedon, Jingyi Lei, and Kai Jun would take shifts to watch over the motionless body and see if he woke up over the next three days.

They knew he wasn't dead thanks to the last strand of life force found in his heart. And this strand was a very stable piece as well, meaning that while it was weak, it would take a lot before it could be completely extinguished.

The man not waking up despite his injuries being mostly cured and his life force being steady made it look as if he himself didn't want to wake up. As if he wanted to die and he was hoping to die long ago.

Once in a while Braedon would pass by the body and hear something be whispered out of his mouth, but it was too jumbled to understand what he was saying exactly. Then one day while Jingyi Lei was watching over the body and Braedon and Kai Jun were visiting him, something changed.

Lately Kai Jun had been personally training Jingyi Lei's path of cultivation and he had made great advancements over the last few days. He went up from the second realm third stage to the second realm fourth stage in only a few days! Which could be considered an incredible feat by weaker organizations.

The amount of soul. Dystals he needed was insane, it that was why he never slacked off and used almost every chance he had to cultivate. As he was meditating nearby the body, Jingyi Lei clearly heard a voice call out from the man.

He was saying, "Mai..." which confused him for a second. Braedon and Kai Jun would come visit him a second later and when he saw them entered he couldn't help but say, "The man said something strange, it sounded like a name."

Braedon's forehead clscrunched up as he asked, "What did he say?"

"He said, Mai-" as soon as Jingyi Lei finished saying this word, the man suddenly moved from the bed and clutches Jingyi Lei by his throat, "I'll kill you!" He cried out crazily with closing his grip on Jingyi Lei's small neck.

Before he could finish what he was doing, Kai Jun's arm was grasping at his wrist while Braedon's feather was held up to his neck, "Release the boy."

The man looked around wildly at the faces before him, and a single tear dropped down the side of his eyes before he walked out once more, "Mai..." and fell back into the bed.
