Blue asked Jingyi Lei to bring Braedon and Kai Jun over to him. He said that he had something to request of all of them. He waited for only a few minutes before the three people returned into his room.
Braedon was that Blue had recovered a lot of his old vigor. In fact in their talks, he was able to even make a few jokes and laugh a few times. Braedon liked his more cheerful personality than his depressed one. But all things had to come to an end, as Kai Jun asked him for what he wanted.
"You both came to the shop to purchase information about Phoen, the person who looks like your friend, right? Well I need your help with something. If you help me out, then I'll provide you with the knowledge you wanted."
The offer was kind of tempting but Kai Jun was no fool, "So tell me, what is it that you want us to do?" He asked Blue this question in order to not be tricked into doing something that was extremely bothersome. Of course this information may be worth a bothersome request but Kai Jun did need to make sure.
Blue said while taking in a deep breath, "I need you to help me kill someone."
"Why can't you do it yourself." Braedon asked this out of pure curiosity. This was because Blue was part of a guild of assassins, so why would he himself not be able to eliminate this target. The request was definitely a weird one, even in Kai Jun standards. The only person who did not look completely baffled was Jingyi Lei. He already had a good idea of what Blue was requesting of them.
"The man who I want to kill is the person who mirdered the woman I loved in cold blood, the boss of the information brokers club that I once worked for." A hint of rage flashed through Blue's eyes as he said this and he got onto all fours and lowered his head until it touched the floor. He begged out with a sorrowful voice, "I know that this request is a dangerous one since you don't know the boss's strength or anything. But you don't need to fight the boss yourself. If you could just distract him for a few seconds, I will kill him myself. Despite how I look, I am quite a powerful assassin."
Blue explained to them his story and told them about how he came to be on the streets with one arm missing. He went through every part of it and even took his time to describe what the boss's power was like. Although Blue wasn't sure about what the two people thought of his story, he could tell that Kai Jun was very uninterested.
The request came as a bit of a shock to Braedon and an annoyance to Kai Jun. "No deal. I'm sorry but I would rather the Shadow Guild not know of our existence yet, I'm not just about to start a war with one of their branches just because you are bribing me with some info that I could find somewhere else. There are just too many disadvantages to your request, so I'm sorry but my answer is no."
Braedon also had to say no, the conflict would be too much for him to handle and not only that but they had no clear indication of the boss's strength. If they weren't careful, he could very well die if he accepted this. Jingyi Lei stayed silent and did not give a comment on Blue's situation.
But Blue could not accept this response, he needed there help. Especially from Kai Jun, he could just feel the power oozing off of him due to his presence alone.
"Wait! I'll make it worth your while. I'll pay you or give you any information you want or I can even show you where the Shadow Guild bass is!"
Kai Jun still shook his head in disapproval, "I already gave my answer, you won't be able to change it with just those few benefits that you have mentioned."
"The information I have could change everything for you though! You could learn the guild's cultivation methods, where their resources storages are located, information abou their human refinement factories, or even about the locations of higher ranking official within the organizations."
The words spoken by Blue did not have much of an effect on Braedon but Kai Jun heard something that he found very interesting, "What was the second to last thing you said?"
"The human refinement factories?"
"Yeah those. Tell me, does...does the guild make Living Pills?"
This stumped Blue for a second, "Living Pills? I-I do not know exactly what they make in there actually. But I have heard a rumor mention that the actions of the refinement elder of the guild are being hidden. I do not know what this could possibly mean, but it's possible that they are planning something big."
"..." Kai Jun stayed silent for a second before he spoke up again, "Do you know where this refinery is located?"
"Yes! I know their general whereabouts."
"Okay, then we accept your request. We kill you old boss in return for information about 'Phoen' and the location of the human refinement factories you spoke of. Okay the day we attack, Jingyi Lei will remain here while the three of us go out."
"Wait why do I have to remain?" Jingyi Lei looked at Kai Jun in confusion and asked. He wanted to come along as well in order to witness what would happen.
"I'm sorry to say this Jingyi Lei but compared to the rest of us, you are incredibly weak." Braedon patted him on his shoulder while explaining this carefully. But Jingyi Lei wouldn't have this. "I promise I won't get in the way, just please let me come along. I have to see how this fight will go down. If I can experience a battle between two top notch experts, then I'm sure that it will benefit my cultivation greatly!"
Being able to participate in a battle has helped many people gain fighting experience extremely quickly; Jingyi lei knew that he was too weak to participate in a fight like this so he wanted to go with the next best option and watch them fight. The first time he saw Braedon and Kai Jun battle, his mind was in too much of a shock to really see what was happening, now that he had a second chance he wouldn't let it slip by.
Braedon turned his head in order to face Kai Jun, and all he did was nod. "*sigh* Fine, you can come along but you cannot act out by yourself and if the situation gets too dangerous then you run. Do you understand?"
"Yes!"
Kai Jun nodded and said, "Okay, then we will move out in one week."
Blue, "Why a week, can't we go now?"
"Blue, you haven't even completely recovered your full strength yet, not to mention that you're down an arm. You need to first stabilize yourself as well as get use to your handicap first. Plus in a week, I can teach Jingyi Lei some basic things he need to learn if he wants to survive this ordeal."
While Blue was unwilling to wait for an entire week before he could act out his revenge, he could not help but agree with Kai Jun. he accepted the proposal and closed his eyes to begin meditating in order to regain as much power as he possibly could.

Zan Rong was in his living room, also known as the war room, for the second time that week. He was listening in to the conversation that everyone was having and he couldn't help but give off an annoyed sigh. "*Sigh* Can we just begin the report now?!"
The room quieted down and a single woman walked up to speak to everyone, "We have some more news. It seems that the Shadow Guild's information broker club's boss may have some information on what we are looking for."
"What do you mean."
"Our spies have reported that the refinement elder and the boss have been good friends for years, and after our visit with the club it had been reported that he got into a fight with his associate. He is hiding something from us but he won't tell us what it is without a fight."
"So what do we do?"
Zan Rong spoke up at this point, "We do what we always do when someone won't give us what we need without a fight. We fight. This is my order as the clan head, half of you will prepare yourselves for a raid of the club."
"When will this raid occur, Sir?"
"In one week!"
